According to Mike Hearn's blog, he said the Bitcoin is failing and dying so he sold all his Bitcoin. Is it really true or it is just his marketing strategy?

This blog post is a few months old now!
And when you check for instance the price since that time do you think Bitcoin is going to die?
I mean serious!Would people invest a shitload of money in something that is almost dead?
Just think about that for two minutes, check the charts and then you'll know the answer. Wink
Wow, That's amazing. Shocked
The topic starter needs accustom to checked about their source before publishing it. I think what's the wrong bitcoin?Does the writer of the article is mad?or another can make him writing an irrational article with this situation.

The market cap like 2.5 billion off the ATHs isn't it ? the hash rate is higher than ever before.  Looks to me like he wants to buy more bitcoin at a cheaper price else why does he bother even making an official 'im quiting bitcoin' announcement?

Because Hearn always behaved like a 5 year old if he didn't get what he asked for!
What he does was a whiny rage quit because he realized no one will ever follow him as the benelovent dictator he always dreamed of to be beside Gavin, his old buddy!

I don't think so. BitCoin not dying already, but it more popular now.
We use BitCoin currency in real world, in some country there are ATM machines which we can withdraw our money with our BitCoin account.
It is the fact that people will using BitCoin in real world.

Bitcoin is not dying and that is because there are also a lot of people that is hoping that the value will jump after the halving so they can earn more money with it and that would be nice.
You can even see now that Bitcoin is getting more popular so that is really nice.

Bitcoin and its derivatives are still in infancy.  It will probably take a world crisis to bring it to the forefront since banks will then come under marshall law and trading bitcoin
will become an alternative faster than trading gold for services.  Once the world is using it, it should be here to stay..

Just some thoughts from the deep

Well Bitcoin is not failing at the moment for sure. It may struggle from time to time, but the one thing that will never fail is the block chain technology  Wink This is like when the internet was discovered - it is new, not many people use it, not many people understand how it works, but eventually it changed the world. So I think it is and it will be the same scenario, until it's finally accepted worldwide and become the currency of the future.

Those are only bullshits. It is enough to see the price of bitcoin the last days. Is increased more than 25%. If a product is failing never can be verified its increase of price. Are only stupidities of someone who feel that is leaved behind in this matter and want to attract attention.

Mike Hearn had a personal agenda against the Bitcoin Core developers because they didn't share his views about the future of Bitcoin development so he decided to call it quits and leave the team. I think his blog post was more of a personal vendetta against the Bitcoin community than a reasonable resignation letter. But as we can see the Bitcoin price has started rising even though the halving hasn't even started yet so I am inclined to believe that Bitcoin has a bright future ahead despite the droves of naysayers saying otherwise. Mike Hearn's anger and disappointment probably got the better of him but this doesn't mean that his statements hold water right?
why is everybody thinking that the bitcoin is dying because he isnt dying for sure. There are allot of people who just need to know the coin and what you can do with it the future of the bitcoin would be very nice.

Best joke I have heard all year, oh wait, I hear it every other week. Bitcoin has been around for years, and it probably will for decades to come and there is nothing that can bring it down in the foreseeable future, unless you get another crypto which has totally new never seen before innovations and is not for profit

That guy's just spreading some FUD around about bitcoin. He probably still owns bitcoin, but he just gave up on the project. He's probably just salty that he can't be a part of the dev team.

Seriously, there is no reason for anyone to think that bitcoin is dying. Rather, it's thriving.

IMO the guy just wants to spread some bad news about Bitcoin to lower the price. Then he'll buy a lot knowing that Bitcoin will go up anyway.
