Bitcoin is one kind of crypto currency. It is a form of digital money. It is exists in the network only but not like dollar, euros. Bitcoin is produced by mathematical proof. It is a decentralized currency.

It doesnt matter to me it he regards bitcoin a currency or not. If it is not a currency which is somehow true because it is not accepted everywhere but it doesnt affect the value of bitcoin. Bitcoin cant be a currency so it is also ok if it is called an asset. Like gold and even better than gold.

He is definitely just a hater, giving old conservatives a bad name. I wouldn't take his words on crypto seriously at all.

Maybe Mr.Warren Buffet does not like bitcoin and he try to discourage those people who are bitcoin believer and maybe his difinition of currency is that toucheable,he can hold and touch it like a paper money.

We all have different opinions. If Warren Buffet said that it didn't meet the definition of currency, then so be it. We all have different point of view and thinking. If that's what he said, we, as a bitcoin user, should explain and enlighten him what and how bitcoin can be used for. It's not being hater but it shows that he doesn't have enough information to the point he concluded this statement.

I found a video on YouTube https://youtu.be/qTxPfxmkLIY that according to this man (Warren Buffett) said "Bitcoin doesn't meet the definition of a currency" and he said that "he would not be surprised if bitcoin is not around in 10 or 20 years".

Is he a hater of bitcoin? while other big names appreciate the bitcoin.

Your thoughts?
Warren Buffett is just one of the Business tycoon who doesn't appreciate the global acceptance on cryptocurrency{BTC}.
Yet, the appreciation of BTC price from 8 yrs. ago to the present which is 11,500$ does not reflect the thought of Warren Buffett 20 yrs. from now.

In my opinion, he is one of those who dislike Bitcoin, and the fact that some people are getting rich with this cryptocurrency makes him angry.

no we know all that bitcoin is the future currency that we face in the future  maybe it takes to long for that.... Smiley Smiley

to be a new currency for every country, bitcoin needs approval from the governments and the governments allowing people to use bitcoin in many things, especially in the payment section. but for now, I think we only could use bitcoin on the internet and we could save more bitcoin to prepare for the future because in the future, if bitcoin is really good for the country, then I am sure that the government will approve bitcoin and bitcoin will be a new currency and will be bridge from the real life and the online life without any limits.

I think that it is currency, but specific type of currency, so it is difficult to compare it with fiat.
Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency. I think, he compare the traditional currency to bitcoin in terms of use and regulation. Maybe he said that bitcoin cannot be used in daily living as compared to currency that can be used anytime without transaction fees only if theres no third party intervention. And a currency is accompanied by coin or paper not bitcoin that has no physical representation.

I think that it does not have much knowledge about bitcoin.Warren is one of the guy who is not liking the idea of bitcoin making others rich. The people who are with the flow is making profit and who are against it, spreading rumours are watching people making money. when Warren Buffet or the likes of him are talking about bitcoin, they have invested in it or want to buy in the dip or want it to go up so they make profit when they talk positively like John McAfee.

Yes, I think the current bitcoin is not in accordance with the definition of money. First of all, the most important thing is the rise and fall! The price of real money should be stable. The tumble and tumble of bitcoin does not match. But this characteristic of bitcoin is the magic of attracting people. There is a great interest in the middle. I see a bullish bit of bitcoin!

I believe Warren Buffett is a non believer of Bitcoin because he doesn't know much about it, how it works, its advantages, its technology and how it actually help people change their lives financially. For those who have had their lives changed, his words and beliefs about bitcoin, won't matter at all.

This statement is very true. I think I read somewhere about an interview with him, he admitted not fully knowing the technology behind and/or fully understanding how bitcoin works. If I can find the link again, i will definitely post it up in here.

OP, either you are trying to advertise bad news to the crypto community or you are wasting your time reading about nonsense words from people who don't even believe or is a a part of the crypto world...

maybe warren buffets do not understand about the concept of blockhain from bitcoin. from his remarks. I do not think he's a bitcoin hater but rather still neutral in terms of assessing bitcoin currencies..

Well for me bitcoin is a digital currency.
Like a fiat we can use it in so many ways. But it is better to convert it to your countries currency for easy transactions
