You cannot invest without risks. And investing is somewhat similar to gambling. What keeps them different from each is that gambling brings out addiction to the person. May be people see bitcoins is a form of gambling because you invest a high amount. But what is important is that you should be cautious to your decisions. Gambling have generally low chances of winning, unlike the value of bitcoins which flactuating but you can still predict what will happen.

Gambling can be defined as taking risk in hope of better results, one can put some money in casino, betting or any other sport. In gambling only thing which works is probability but when you put money in Bitcoin can be termed as Investment rather than Gambling, moreover Bitcoin being a currency is further used by the people for Gambling but having Bitcoin cannot be termed as Gambling.They don't really get what the cryptocurrency is.
The title of this thread is funny, because I cannot tell you how many times people have told me investing in Bitcoin is like gambling! 
It is not gambling but because of the privacy feature many people have decided to make profit from it by either gambling or even starting your own gambling site. Sadly we now see many bitcoins going into gambling which gives it a bad name by the legal authorities
Bitcoin for me as well not the gambling but the bitcoin is the money. I think it is easy to invest your money in the gambling and the other sites so you will be able to invest in the other currencies. The worth and the profit can be able to get through the bitcoin investment not through the gambling as much it can be happen in the investing and the trading.

Fair point. Because Bitcoin is a currency. Saying that investing money is gambling is like saying that investing in a company and playing poker are similar. Using Bitcoin is just like using regular money but online. Besides, its a lot faster and cheaper than paying using online banks. Yes it lacks many characteristics of real money but Bitcoin have a different and specific purpose. I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. Gambling, that's a bad term. In the financial world there is investing and speculating. Bitcoin is clearly speculation. It's so new and not really a currency, so we can't even call it currency speculation. It's difficult to classify but it sure as hell isn't investing.
We have a long long way to go before bitcoin fits into day to day life without needing exchanges to local cash to buy what we need.

Yeah I'm in favor, as you say, It's not really a gamble, let's say that it's a gamble, we gamble time, internet and knowledge so we can earn the money we want to achieve. Tell them what they are talking about. But I have heard that such a word about bitcoin, it is a gamble and it is unbelievable to those who have begun it. I believe that bitcoin is really not a gambling even though sometimes it became gambling due to the powers of all the higher position in bitcoin community. The legalization of gambling using bitcoin was allowed and otherwise most of the users joining in bitcoin society really wants to earn income in a faster way that's why other call it gambling but really bitcoin cannot be a gambling. However, some people who are gambling bitcoin can stop it using self control.

For other side bitcoin is sometimes gambling but i think its the truth that bitcoin is gambling , nah nah nah lets clarify bitcoin is not a gambling but in the way that can make gambling the bitcoin. true because what we do all this requires creativity and experience so all this in getting from the hard work as work offline so I think wrong if bitcoin is gambling because of the trade alone there is a willingness to sell and buy themselves without any coercion as the law sell buy.

Yeah your right, bitcoin is not gambling it's part of investment because there's up and down like in the stock market you didn't know if the price go up or down win or lose. Yes me also, I don't get it when someone instantly say that bitcoin is a gambling. Maybe when they hear that you can earn money thru internet and by means of posting only.
