this rise in the past days is really slow and with low volume, not normal for btc

Even though the volume is small, the price is a new recent high of $469. It means most people do not want to sell.

i also believe that the big rise is getting near and when it comes we are going to see a new all time high and all those altcoins claiming to surpass bitcoin's market cap (you all know what i am talking about Cheesy) can take that dream to their grave as their bag holders continue to dump in order to be able to buy bitcoin now at higher prices.

The longer and the slower the price rise, the higher it will be. If the price just rise $2 a day, the year end price will be over $1000.

Breakouts from wedges, triangles, pennants whatever tend to go with much power.
Volume will confirm the direction of the movement.
So no slow incline/ decline imho.

I hope it is gradul and not a crazy jump, if it's a nice slow increase it would be sustainable and look more like a solid investment for people.

Maaaan, the rocket ship launched in 2013!  Then it came back down to Earth again and its next launch date is uncertain.  We'd need some serious good news or some big money buying bitcoin for the price to do anywhere near what it did back then.  How long have we been stuck at $420 or thereabouts?  It seems like months.

Then again, if we want bitcoin to be a currency, we want a stable price.  Yes?  Maybe a higher price than we have now, but it does need to be somewhat stable for people to use it.
Stuck in the $420 range is quite similar to the summer of 2013 where we were in the low hundred dollar range for most of the summer until it doubled in the fall and then ran up to Pike's peak later that year. Good times are coming and the launch will be magnificent after the gradual rise. This is a great spot to be at at this point, yo. Sell early for penny profits and lose out on the next big wave.

I am quite happy with a gentle genuine increase in price, compared to sudden increase and decrease due to pump and dump.

The gradual increase will attract more users (and not speculators) and will help the growth of bitcoin.

Is the rocket ship gonna be rocketing up or gently floating up.

Sure would love to see some big price moves. Low volatility is a drag.

I think there is plenty of evidence to suggest bitcoin is still the king of crypto, the reserve currency of crypto. Also arguably a better safe haven than gold due to being less manipulated. I think I will see new all time highs not only in my lifetime but quite possible within a year from now.

Just my opinion Smiley

I guess you are right. When it saw the price moving past the 420 mark i had a good feeling about a new price rice. Sure today it did not happen, but either this weekend or the next week, this could turn out to be very interesting.

To me... it seems like it's trying to go up, but can't, and will likely go down a bit soon enough. But that is just a feeling.

Gradually then a bit steeper then steeper still until its a rocket ship  gently floating up through space

And that is based on ....?

Really, without anything to back it up, your post is just spam.

My opinion has not changed, you can look up my old buried 'bitcoin primed' thread if you are really curious to know more why i think that

you can not really back up a speculation, it's all about guessing at this point, past data does not really matter, this market is unpredictable, unless you're the manipulator of course

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but I don't think that there will be a rocket at any point, just a very gentle drift upwards until the week of the halving, that's where we'll see the volatility. Definitely not a rocket, but a good spike.

i hope the rocket starts going up to the moon soon, i have been waiting for that moment for a very long time (from $190 Cool ).
but i think this small rise is just because of the downfall which has been going on in the altcoin markets in the past couple of days.

I'm perfectly happy with 420. However, after July it'd better be 840 or higher. I'm under no illusion it would work out that way, bitcoin moves in mysterious ways, when you expect it to go up, it goes down, and when you least expect it, it will go up. If you're too greedy, it will eat you up. So, don't ever get greedy. Take this to heart: you will never see $1200/btc ever in your life time. Get over it. If you bought btc at around $1k, dump it if it gets close to $1k. Cut your loss.

It's just a matter of time before the rocket start to take off. But I only don't see much signs of upwards potential in the charts. It still looks the same as it was 1 week ago.
