the way it can fight off downward price pressure its simply astounding,

fiat is very weak and must be invested in housing, an asset class to

even exist in the first place

Crashes are good once in a while, if the asset survives. If Bitcoin survives this big crash and im sure it will, it will only mean bigger trust. It's like the "tyson effect" in boxing, the blood on the face is intimidating after being beaten up, and when no one bets on the losing fighter he comes back. In stocks is the same. If the asset survives a big crash and stands up again it means the asset is solid against hard times. Contrary to popular, an asset isn't solid if it has a stable price, that is boring. An asset is solid if overtime it keeps going up after surviving crashes. Look at the big picture in Bitcoin and that is exactly how it looks.

We need to think why the price of bitcoin is so volatile and the ppl dump it ruthlessly? Then find a way to avoid the associated factors to push the adoption and price! Bitcoin is fundamentally virtual and only existing as digital things! How to make ppl to believe it has some sort value is important!

its got incredible value,

and their is no dump, its a very technical bear market

I would say treat it like a Systematic Investment Plan.
Accumulate small amounts of bitcoin in this bear market.

They will be able to bring us down but not for long because bitcoin is known to withstand all the hurdles. Soon enough we'll be back up standing and to the moon.
I am with you to reach the moon,
bitcoin is in fact not a site Abal Abal are easily lost and disappeared. he is very tough, he just needs time to rest. and not a moment longer he will be much more powerful than before

I agree with you.
It's normal that BTC will be up and down through some periods of time...
It's stupid to sell all btc when price is low.
In fact, now is the best time to buy and sell later, when price is up again.
BTC is still alive, don't worry Smiley

That suspected BFL address is worth a hefty 8599445.53 US Dollars!

In general the problem here is ANY dumper. Like OP said, BTC is doing pretty damn well at holding its footing. It dropped down to $150 a few days ago but sharply rose. I'm hopeful it can still maintain good value but I think the big days are over. There are far too many dumpers and the huge majority of them are in China. Sure that suspect BFL address has 90k btc but the chinese don't sit on BTC. They probably have markets to auto sell as soon as blocks are found.

Need a global network ban on the chinese! Let them play with their Asia coin etc.

The Chinese dropped what they could and still couldn't bring the price down Smiley

Dont blame the Chinese for everything. This time BFL is responsible...

Yes of course , the bitcoin protocol is still alive and fully functional, maybe the "speculation" is dead.  However without the speculation it will never reach that "value" or better price. I think when all the speculators go away, the price will be stabilized and finally we can start to use "simply" our bitcoin ( and the price will not matter anymore).

The way to survive these dips is to have your balls bronzed. This time I'll have them silver plated.

barely a dip nowhere near 2013 lows

the BTC economy is incredibly strong now compared to then

That's why I chose silver. I can afford to buy polish now.  Grin
