That's obvious because of bitcoin's volatility, if someone invest bitcoin on october last year, their investment got doubled already just a year passed, that's pretty fast ROI record there. Unlike other type of investments ROI will comes in, 2-5 years. With this growth only matters is risk, if how risky you are to invest on such high volatility asset.

If there are people we want to convince to invest but who are still doubtful, we can point them to this thread. They can ask questions, and we’re ready to share facts with them.
Good idea but I don't want to convince any people anymore to invest in Bitcoin. If they will listen to us and follow our advices about buying Bitcoin and it's the best performing asset for this Q4 with that 49.2% return, they will do it as soon as they pick it up. But if they have a lot to say and keeps on reasoning, there's no need for us to convince them. It looks that we're too hard on them and we're pressuring them by convincing them to buy bitcoin. Once they understand that there's no need for us to be pushy on them and why we're like that while raking these returns and gains.

They'll be more curious about it and think that they're missing a lot of gains because the time keeps moving on while them, they're still in doubt. In my personal experience, I don't really convince my friends into buying Bitcoin anymore because it doesn't work for them but later on, they keep me checking because of the price movement that we're having right now.

That's how they'll be convinced, when they are checking the price and remember that we've told them to invest but they didn't obeyed.

Bitcoin price prediction is everywhere mostly this month being one of the favorable month for bitcoin investors, let’s hope for more. No doubt bitcoin investment is profitable but, no amount of prove will be able to convince those who don’t believe in bitcoin investment. I will always say investing is a choice likewise the investment either bitcoin, gold etc. I’m sure bitcoin will yield more profit for those who invested earlier next year, we’ve seen the market grow this year but looking at the end it’s obvious bitcoin will make a good move now.

While it has proved over and over again that it is an incredible investment, I still believe it is not for everybody.  If you forget for a minute about the incredible All Time High runs, the next big thing you can not ignore is its volatility and how rough and harsh a drop on the chart looks like for it.  Every time Bitcoin drops, if you saw the same graph on a general Stock you would think it is over.

Bitcoin is probably still going to be a very profitable Asset but you still need to have steel balls to roll with it and be able to control yourself too.

The price of Bitcoin is very volatile due to which it is possible to make a good amount of profit from this investment. In addition, Bitcoin creates a new ATH every four years by halving the circle, making Bitcoin a higher APR profit than any other business or investment. and that's why people are getting deeply interested in Bitcoin day by day. and the more Bitcoin investors worldwide, the faster Bitcoin is growing.  So those who still invest in Bitcoin will also get a good amount of profit in the future. Because still only a few percent of people worldwide use Bitcoin. When more than 50% of people are interested in Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin will be very expensive.

No single stock was included in the list. Only asset classes in general.

Speaking of MSTR though, watch for it to pass through $250 this week...
So it could be biased because if single stocks are not included, the asset classes should be compared to crypto classes or to all the crypto market no? Anyway it could be an answer to Peter Schiff who claims that Bitcoin don't follow the "upward momentum" seen in other Trump-related assets like stocks or real estate driven by the rising odds for a Trump victory in the POTUS election. Bitcoin doesn't follow closely this trend maybe just because it has already pumped before all the other assets and it's a bit overpriced for now.

Do you see it breaking a new ATH?

According to the latest report from New York Digital Investment Group (NYDIG), Bitcoin continues to stand out as the best-performing asset in 2024. Additionally, Q4 is expected to remain positive for Bitcoin’s price, despite facing various challenges.

With that information we see above, it shows that Bitcoin has had a very positive year, and the year isn’t even over yet. If it hits a new ATH by the end of the year, that percentage of profit will increase significantly. We should definitely believe in investing in Bitcoin since it's backed by data.

It's not, it's this one.

My guess is that MicroStrategy Inc. wasn't included in the list because they are closely tied to Bitcoin. The companies on the list are determined using metrics that assess their independence from one another. In short, we can think of it as a ranking of countries based on their economic growth, from top to bottom.

Bitcoin investment is indeed profitable to investor that knows how well the technology works. Even when we check the trading volume of Bitcoin, it can tell us the billions of dollars that is circulating every day in the Bitcoin market. Apart from those that investing and holding, some expert traders are making thousands of dollars every day or week in the market and it's still because of the price volatility of Bitcoin that makes it all possible for them to make such profit.

But 2024 has not yet come to an end (why is NYDIG in a hurry?), which means that the results of the report will still change.

NYDIG released this report now to account for its investors and show the profitability of bitcoin? Are they afraid that the BTC-rate may fall before the end and the reports will not be so "beautiful"? Smiley

I'm not sure we'll see a new ATH by the end of the year, but it will definitely happen one day (2025?).

We should definitely believe in investing in Bitcoin since it's backed by data.
Not data, but belief in future growth. What motivates new investors (including institutional ones) to buy it.

There is no need to convince anyone, because those who need it will buy it without your advice.

In case of unsuccessful investments (for example, they were subjected to mass panic and sold bitcoin at a loss) on your advice, they will blame you for the failure.

That’s another kind of investment you’re referring to- long-term investment. What OP outlined is more about the investment this year, where you buy at the start of the year and hold until a certain month, likely until September 30, 2024, which is the end of the third quarter. With that presentation, Bitcoin has already gained 49.2% this year, making it the highest in the list. For an investment with such a large market cap, that’s pretty impressive. So, if you’re a Bitcoin enthusiast, you’d see this as another victory for the entire ecosystem.

The quoted posts still says the same thing it is just simply trying to broaden the statistics to prove that it is not just this years occurrence but has been the best performing asset since its fifteen years existence, so it’s all the same. Personally I prefer showing statistics like this for over 4 to 5 years and this also goes to the investment plan time span, because this year and probably next year are bullish doesn’t mean you should do a yearly investment but rather have a longer term plan such that even if the year for the bulls doesn’t come others will cover it up.

Indeed bitcoin is a good investment, but let us not forget that putting all your apples in one basket is not a good idea. It is better to learn about possible investment options before stepping in to put money here and there. Pros and cons exist in every sector and even though on this forum the bitcoin investment might sound like an echochamber, outside the forum you will not find it to be so.

Although bitcoin volatility is which is its flaws is actually in a low of recent but still on that I have to agree with you that diversification most definitely to other assets outside digital currencies are what one needs to consider also, this gives you the opportunity to even be at peace while holding should any of the assets experience a down time

It's been a good year actually in Bitcoin. I guess it's my first time experiencing a bull so fast in a single year.. I know most of us might be expecting even more from Bitcoin by the end of this year of which we know it will but then we have to take it slow a lot of things still are going to hold the market for now. Even after it creates a new ATH, we might still experience a little draw down. But I'm still remaining positive on that. Bitcoin is definitely going to a new ATH. As for those people still doubting, I have just one thing to say. If you can read properly and calculate, then you would see the amount of profits you would have been earning currently if you had bought Bitcoin before the bull... Stop doubting and start buying that's my advice for you all.
Those who doubted Bitcoin in the past and stayed away from Bitcoin, are now repenting. And those who are currently doubting Bitcoin and staying away from Bitcoin They will regret it in future. If we research Bitcoin's past well, we can understand about the high potential of Bitcoin's future. As much as bitcoin has improved in the current year, bitcoin will improve even more in the coming years. Not only next year but bitcoin will always improve, and thus the price of Bitcoin will cross $100k- $250k- $500k- $1M at some point. Just like Bitcoin went from $0 to $73K from 2009 to 2024, i.e. from zero to the top. So no one can be as stupid as those who still don't believe in Bitcoin. Because yet those who are skeptical of Bitcoin after seeing so much growth in Bitcoin, will regret it the most in the future.

I agree with you and I meant it in my post too. With different time lines for their investments, they will have different exits, assume they have same entry, and different exits at different times will bring different results. Some will get loss, some will get profit more than others.

If we only look at 1 year or shorter period, Bitcoin can not be the best and we can find many altcoins outperform Bitcoin in one bullish year. But after 1 year and more years, altcoins can not beat Bitcoin that has been here since 2009, went through many black swan events but still been here and given very high ROIs for anyone can hold it for past years.

The chart shows that people are now appreciating bitcoin more than ever, recognizing its positive value for the years ahead. This reinforces the idea that, despite claims it would disappear, people continue to place their faith in bitcoin—a faith that’s fueling a surge in investors. We’re also seeing that bitcoin is far from something to overlook, as it could very well prove to be an even more profitable investment in the future.

In fact, smaller countries are adopting bitcoin, helping it gain even greater global exposure and driving up its price. So, I’d say those who ignored bitcoin years ago are probably buying in now!

Investment is more than 1 year and I would like to look further than in 2024, that is a bullish year for Bitcoin market.

The ROI Chart https://casebitcoin.com/charts#roi_chart with 10 years time frame can help newbies to see how good Bitcoin performance is in last 10 years.
Yearly candles chart can help to have a good overview too https://charts.bitbo.io/yearly-candles/. Despite of red and bearish years, Bitcoin trend over years is up.
https://curvo.eu/backtest/en/market-index/bitcoin?currency=usd

Focusing on one year will be very headache because we will limit our time line with only 1 year that will be mix of ups and downs and our decision will affected by ups and downs of market within 1 year.

You make a good point. On the other hand, using a 10 year metric also has its flaws, in part of course due to the high adoption growth of BTC in its relatively short existence. (We equities, could also say that every company started at $1 prior IPO and then measure its growth from there.

Having said all that, if I had to bet, I would say BTC will almost certainly be the best performing asset class among all those others listed.

Currently, I have invested most of my assets in crypto but when I reach my goal and have the desired amount I will only invest a small portion in bitcoin and will diversify into many other assets. While bitcoin has long term potential, once I have enough money I won't want to risk too much and will instead prioritize safety.
Just be very careful of the altcoins. I do not call them investment but gambling. If you make much money while you invested in them, it is better you convert it before they start falling again. Bitcoin has a long term potential but as altcoins are becoming older, they are dumped and left for new altcoins.

Also some altcoins that you thought will increase huge in price may disappoint.

In reality yes, keep crypto limited to only bitcoin, but also explore real estate, precious metals, bonds, stocks relevant as per the country where one lives. If you are going for the long term route for each of them and have a stable enough income, you can grow your money safely over the years with all these combined in a different weightage ratios.
