I am curious to know whether bankers really hate crypto in general. Is it because it combats their belief, or they just don't know a thing about it? Sometimes, like what fiulpro mentioned, it's the lack of education and knowledge on the matter why people jump the gun almost immediately. They don't know much about what's being discussed and immediately judge things based on what they already know without even digging further.

Good for you that you have jumped ship, and learned lots of things that were foreign to you because of the previous environment that you work in. It's hard to learn things that were completely opposite of what you already know.
I personally am not sure about that because there are indeed some people who indeed they work in the area of banks and government but on the other hand they also adopt crypto.
it's definitely there, though not too much. because indeed again it is a choice whether they want to open their minds or not about this crypto.
there needs to be some kind of further introduction when they really want it but on average they definitely refuse about this

Winding down.
He refused to follow me to invest in bitcoin because he thinks that bitcoin is not real, he can not touch and see the form of bitcoin but it existed from a long time ago.
not surprising indeed because I thought that way last year Cheesy
But indeed, if you look at it now, we can't just leave bitcoin and like it or not we also have to get to know this sophisticated creation regardless of whether or not we want to invest later we can't just get rid of bitcoin at this time.
and maybe for people who still refuse with the reason bitcoin is a scam, they should open their eyes wide now
Some of my friends still do not follow me in investing in bitcoin and I do not even think about them and do not give more info about bitcoin to them.
I decide that they do not want to know a new chance that can help them have a new source to make more money or are satisfied with their conditions now.
Besides that, I do not want to teach them who only want to fill their wants without thinking about others or sharing what they know.
It is better to have a few friends, but they are really best friends who will not just be with us in a happy moment, but also sad moments.
I think you should just focus more on achieving your goal because if they will see a lot of progress happening in your life, believe me, they will be the one to ask you how you'd do it so they can also be like you. So its just a matter of time. They will finally understand bitcoin once they will start investing in it and just like anyone who had made a good amount of income, they will be attached to bitcoin because of its high value and high returns.

How about your job? Did you find another one that is not related to your past job and related to crypto? Maybe you could your skills before in the line of crypto currencies. It is nice to see somebody from the banking system turn to crypto, hope it will be easy for you and maybe teach the ones who hates bitcoin so that they would be like you and convert too. Share them about your past experience and maybe you would be a way to let them feel that bitcoin is not the way they thought it was.

sorry but this part where you talk about quitting a job is definitely not a good thing, with your job you would receive money that would allow you to continue investing in bitcoin and pay your expenses so quitting a job was a bad move. Bitcoin doesn't work miracles it's just a good long-term and decentralized investment, but it doesn't work miracles, no one should let it play because of bitcoin
Well, there's no room for regretting as you have made your fixed decision so just focus on achieving your new goal by making consistent knowledge in crypto and its crypto space. I know that one reason why you have to leave your old job is you also see the potentials in crypto and you certainly believe that you will do better in crypto than in banks. I think you are right. Just focus on the bright side as you have more good opportunities today to focus on crypto and make the best profits by simply giving what's best in you. Crypto is for risk takers and for those who have strong faith that crypto will open wider opportunities to make profits compared to fiat.
A risky move to be done by somebody on which going for full time on crypto and having no job in real life is something that i couldnt able to bare unless if you do sustain  yourself on making profits

or having income then you could really deal with it which it is something not for everybody but it doesnt mean that it is impossible for us to attain it.

Deal with it according on what risk level you could able to put in since not all would really be having that kind of consideration.

I think at the end of the day it's just lack of education. The lack of education stirs up the fake rumors and make people believe that anything new, anything non traditional is going to be disappointing, most of the people also hate the fact that now the prices are too high to make an investment so therefore they try and invest in other Altcoins, then they end up following people like Elon Musk and sometimes end up getting scammed as well.

I don't think that anyone would be against bitcoins if they would own it, if someone is seeing constant growth and profits I don't think they would be against anything for that matters. It's all about non traditional forms of investments now, that's what's gonna get everyone out of the economic collapse, that's long due, because of the pandemic.
This is right on where its a very common situation into those haters or someone do say up things even though it wasnt right is that those people who do really lack of proper
knowledge and research about bitcoin thats why they do make out those kind of conclusions which is really wrong because bitcoin isnt something like  that.
Sooner or later and on the time that they do gain knowledge and awareness then for sure they would taking back those words that they had told earlier.
Its always expected that those who come to hate bitcoin have no experience making profits from it because they don't own any bitcoin. Not because they are afraid to take risk, but more on they see bitcoin is a ponzi scheme because it gives profits that is definitely too good to be true compared to fiat. But of course only bitcoin owners can prove that this is is wrong, unless those bitcoin haters start to educate themselves about bitcoin.

Congratulations mate on finally adopting Bitcoin, but let me share my opinion with you, joining crypto-currency should not make you quit your job, as a starter you need that finance to give yourself a strong hold in cryptocurrency main big whales are still running their companies and has not quit their jobs, also if your bank has ever taken you finances you need to sue, and also don't drop your guard down here in crypto-currency many scammers exist here you have to be very sensitive than ever before, this is the hard Truth you should know.
Others may see it that your decision to leave your job is not really worth it but once you will be acquainted well into crypto, and start gaining decent amount of profits, i guess you will say to yourself leaving your job for crypto is hard but the chances to earn huge income in crypto is unlimited. So its still self fulfilling that even if you can't make profits consistently, but when the time you can make profits, the amount is 10x from what you've earned from your old job. Just stay positive and good things will definitely come along.

If you are well paid from your old job, i also think leaving it is not really a good thing to do. But since you're already here, maybe you can start taking all the opportunities that will give you profits as there is no assurance of crypto to make profits consistently especially if the market is not very stable. You should be aware that there's always a risk in every investment but considering you're in bitcoin, although there is high risk but definitely high assurance too that you will make higher returns than any other type of investments.

What do you mean, they are against bitcoin but they own it? If that's what you mean, it's like what I've been thinking lately. Could it be that they are afraid of bitcoin getting rid of something they control?
Apart from that I am very lucky to have known bitcoin, even now it is one of the assets I hold. And I agree bitcoin is unsettling, for those who don't own it
As in they aren't against Bitcoin, and what it stands for i.e a lot of people I've come across think Bitcoin is bad because they don't know a lot about it or fear making the switch. Rather than, actually understanding what Bitcoin is, and therefore how to use it. Its a common reaction, and once they learn a little bit about Bitcoin then they usually somewhat come to terms with it.

For example, a lot of people don't understand "Bitcoin not being backed by anything" or "its just fake money", and a lot of people think Bitcoin can't be exchanged to this day. Its infuriating for us that are into Bitcoin, but that's what a lot of people think about Bitcoin on the outside. Thus, they don't even entertain the idea of learning about Bitcoin because its too complex for them, and therefore instead of actually having any real reason why they are against Bitcoin, its simply because they haven't bothered to put in the time, and effort it requires to learn it.

I think you did the right thing Cheesy
And for now it's true when talking about bitcoin maybe in some areas it will still be referred to as strange and even tend to be seen as something negative because they never really feel the true benefits of bitcoin because they don't own it.
that's a pretty reasonable thing. it will be different when they have bitcoin and already feel the benefits. they will certainly change their view of bitcoin

That’s the thing, people who haven’t studied bitcoin yet often just don’t have any idea what it is and how it works. I had so many friends , (often many fellow financial advisor buddies) who would tell me hoe stupid I was for investing and being interested in it. Now today, most of them own it and have transacted with it. I think this will only pick up over time as more people start to realize the truth, which is inevitable.

Good newbie story with the typical "I love Bitcoin" theme. Answering with perfect multiple quotes. Account made 2 days ago and regaling the forum already with stories about "resigning from a private bank job for Bitcoin in 2020". Yeah I will pass. Going by the looks of it, it'll take sometime to setup these Alts. But go on, the forum by its very nature is open to second chances. Wish you no luck.

Of course, this can't be done easily because when I was originally here I even made something in the wrong place because I'm not used to it because I found this forum as a result of accidentally seeing a video made by one of the YouTube accounts named steam time and maybe you can see my first post there if you are interested even though there are some warnings from other members there.

and yes, it took several previews to make a reply for me, fortunately in the Steam Tyme video it is also explained how to reply correctly.
when you say no luck I think you are overreacting my friend.

to reply to the video tutorial, it's clear here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NHfaViknzM

I find a lot of people who are against aren't really against Bitcoin, and what it stands for instead they're afraid of adopting a new system which in a lot of ways is quite a bit different to what they're used too.
