Bitcoin has become a speculative asset. Its value as a means of payment is questionable, since transactions are long and commissions are large. But behind it stands the brand, image, infrastructure. That makes it so attractive.
You couldn't blame everyone for joining into bitcointalk for the possibility they believe on it that it is helpful and not useless. If you say useless then it must be put to end a long time ago for I believe that those who are holders of this coin will complain this to the authorities and savage this system. That case must done a long time if this entire activities is useless but we are here in this place participants in particular campaign. My opinion bitcoin is not useless in other side it is helpful in more sides.
Yes, many of this are problems we have, but I would not say, that it is useless scince we have tons of developer, who are solving this problems recently
I respect your point of view when it comes to bitcoin. It wasn't entirely useless if a lot of people are benefiting from it. A lot of people get rich because of bitcoin and I think it is quite rude to say it was useless.
yes i agree with you, maybe that person dont realize the worth of bitcoin. that person needs more proof of bitcoin, bitcoin is very useful and it never as useless. the person that may say that bitcoin is useless must prove he said.
Bitcoin at this point is holding its value because its a legacy coin. I think its always going to have value based on the fact that it was the first ever cryptocurrency. You should look at it like gold. Gold is pretty useless too but the reason why its so valuable still is because it has so much history. Bitcoin is basically digital gold at this point
This is so absurd to give a statement declaring that bitcoin is nothing practical. People have built new houses, start new businesses, driving new cars just because of investing large amounts into bitcoin. These are all the practical uses of bitcoin. Those transactions that needed weeks and third parties are now done within few hours without any interference from third party. So please think before spreading such things.
You have a point about that thing but I don't agree for saying that bitcoin is useless maybe you just didn't earned what you intended to join here. Just like I also one of the people just like you then it turns to a great days to come when I reached my point to use my bitcoin in a emergency situation and I have some coins that I can also use if I want it. So it will never be useless to my point of view.
I just follow this technology, so I join to this forum, learn many about crypto. I have a wallet also. I do some bounty, or something else which have a profit. I have no ever to invest in any project. I just hold some coin, and sell some if needed. Actually, I can't predict about this crypto for a few years later. But, honestly it has so many weakness to be a great future; especially about the risk of crypto.

As you said only negative minded people can thinks such thing that is why the market is full of such negativity that has an inverse affect on the popularity of Bitcoin. Bit all these are the abortive attempts and will not get success to stop Bitcoin from growing more.

you are right. it's difficult to demand from bitcoin to be the both things - tool of payment and investment tool. bitcoin is only 9 years old and the good times are still to come.
Absolutely agree. What can I see that almost every popular atlcoin can be useless also, and could have same problems but its not.
Well this is a subjective topic. You can call it useless and I have the arguments to make correction. This technology has already proved its legacy in the last decade and as many as 21million people have had their funds invested in Bitcoin in 2017. If it were a useless technology, why would the people invest in it in the first place. I agree there are few issues but they are very few compared to the advantages it is offering.

Utility is what creates value, and right now you could say that people are finding it useful because there are plenty of people buying it at the current price. What exactly it is useful though is a more important question, because it may inform future value. For example, if people are buying it right now because of its utility as a speculative asset they can gamble on, that's more problematic than people buying it because of its utility as a store of value or as a currency. I see quite a few people claiming the store of value motive, but I'm not convince they're not delusional because a lot of those same people talk about mooning or lambos. Utility as a speculative asset seems finite and fleeting to me, like a fad, while long term value can seemingly only come from utility as a currency. If Bitcoin can never fulfill its potential as a currency, it probably won't make it long term, and in order to be a useful currency, it's going to need to establish a significantly stable price over time.

Keeping respect to your views i would rathe say blockchain isnt still so expanded to withstand the server pressure so its being slow.
In the view of just bitcoin and other cryptocurrency i think in the term of technology i think there is possibility that it wiuld be replaced. As, cryptocurrencies are slowly evolving and that makes sense to just not trust bitcoin for all of your money because it is best to diversify so if bitcoin will be gone then you will not have a very frustrating loss of money since you are well diversified.Keeping respect to your views i would rathe say blockchain isnt still so expanded to withstand the server pressure so its being slow.

We all have different views in terms of Bitcoin. In my kindle opinion Bitcoin is so useful to me and my entire family. Another thing is that a lot people supports Bitcoin, because they are satisfied with the results they had today with Bitcoin or because they still see a big potential on this currency.
