2.9% for a discount is high yes, 30 cent per transaction is high as well. I will not discuss my fraud protection, but it is very good and I paid good money for it and I have 2 different company's. 1/8th of all orders process with out me hiting the Approve button, I review the rest, and I void many. Not only that I have a company that handles all my chargebacks. My top charge will be 8.9% I am a little lower right now to grow customer base.

This is also in the privacy/refund section

You agree that if you, the buyer, choose to do business with Bitcoin Key's and you file a chargeback or dispute with your credit card company and you do not win the charge back, you agree to pay us $200 in fee's, we are trying to help you find the person who defruaded you! in addition to the $200.00 fee. If we do not receive this payment in 10 Business days legal action will be taken You agree to reimburse our lawyer for his time and effort, if we go to court. If we can not obtain our item's or monies we will hire a collection agency. If you do not accept this agreement please do not purchase from us. STOP FRAUD TODAY!

2.9% is "high"?  Best of luck in your operation (we need more and easier methods for consumers to acquire bitcoins) but are you sure you are being realistic?

As soon as your rolling chargeback rate (CB in last 90 days / total tx in last 90 days) exceeds 1% or so, your merchant account provider is going to bump you up into the high risk category (gold dealers, digital goods, porn, etc) and that starts at 7.99% and goes up to 15%+.

Even if successful you are going to have some chargebacks, enough to make you a "high risk" merchant per VISA/MC underwriting guidelines.

A tip to consider.  Authorize.Net fraud reporting has some "holes" (I won't discuss them here).  You may wish to supplement your protection with some third party fraud analysis.

Here is one example:

What does authorize.net charge you?
Just because I was looking at this earlier: https://stripe.com/
2.9% + 30 cents per successful charge but no other fees doesn't matter what card you accept from any country

Google wallet seems to be doing person 2 person transactions this month too, users upload their card funds to their wallet, send to you internally for bitcoins. Might be slightly safer than directly accepting cards though I hope your limits are very low anyways.

It depends on your credit, and risk level for chargebacks. Those raters are really high they are the same as google check out, google check out is a good service, but the fee's are to high.

I just showed you the processor Authorize.net does not have your funds.... I do not have your funds.... My bank does not have your funds..... You funds are locked up by your card's bank. Call them.

Sorry, I still see the debit (initiated by your CC card processor) in my CC online statement.

You're both fighting for $5 and the Argentina gov have them on hold,

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
What a mess.

Yes, I think the CC processor (authorize.net) made a gross mistake. I was willing to reach a solution in good terms, until the OP began saying that it was my problem, that I was suspect of fraud, etc, etc

I don't think either one of you is a fraud.  It will all work out in a few days.  Either the money will make its way back to you or it will make its way to him.

Either way you can both work together to work it out.

Gusti:  Have you called your bank yet?  If so what did your bank say?

Just talked to mastercard, they say the charge is already made, and that vendor is the only one with the power to cancel it. OP, can you please talk about that with your processor ? I need either you cancel the charge or you send me the btc. Thanks.

I didn't say you have my money, but your card processor do. You are offering a service, so when your processor screws, you must first respond to the customer, and then fix the problem with processor.

Unless you are thinking of giving a bad customer service each time your processor makes a mistake, and tell the customer to f... off, and wait for the processor to put debit backwards, as you are telling me.

And if you are suggesting I'm here to scam your 0.5 btc, please check beforehand my OTC rating and history of transactions in this forum. Sorry, but in the terms you are proposing, your service is a big risk to the customer.
