Are there any others?

Namecoin?
Please don't mix solidcoin (aka scamcoin) with other currencies

Scamcoin has NOTHING to do with others, it's just scamcoin.

SolidCoin != ScamCoin

and

ScamCoin != SolidCoin

TY for telling us about scamcoin, I'll omit it as one of my options from now on.

Litecoin is easy and more profitable to mine with cheap/average hardware.  Namecoin seems the best to merge mine for while mining with Bitcoin for free.

I use LTC on about 30 machines with shite GPU, works well for me!

He premined 12M of scamcoins.

Now he changed the block reward to 0.7 scamcoins per block. So you mine, find a block and receive 0.7 scamcoins. Meanwhile he has 12 millions.

So much fail

Correction it is 0.07 not 0.7. Since difficulty has declined it has fallen to 0.0502 SC per block. If someone solo-mined 100% of the blocks it would be ~$1.30 per day. Smiley

His Lordship, King RealScam = aka RealSolid.  The same person who premined 12M coins and has a 5% tax on each block sent to his personal wallet.

That is a scam. Then he could trade those for bitcoins and profit from them

Isn't all of these based off bitcoin?

ScamCoin has centralized control (think Paypal) although it is based on Bitcoin code (pirated until recently) that fundamental difference makes it more like e-gold than a decentralized currency.

Solidcoin is different, it's centralized and few nodes can do what the fuck they want. And they are already happily messing with it.
