It is and will continue to do so. There will be a lot of fake news and people spreading FUDs in an effort to bring the market down but it will actually be for just a short time as bitcoin will always bounce back and recover from it.
BITCOIN - STATISTICS & FACTS

Bitcoin, also called a mobile currency or a crypto currency, was created in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, a mysterious individual or a group of people whose true identity is still unknown today. The main idea behind the establishment of this virtual currency was to enable quick and cheap online payments without the need to use traditional banking channels. Bitcoin gained in popularity when its price jumped from around 572.33 U.S. dollars in August 2016 to approximately 4,764.87 U.S. dollars in August 2017. As of December 2017 this virtual currency was worth 13,860 U.S. dollars. The market capitalization of Bitcoin also increased dramatically in that time, and reached a level of 237.62 billion U.S. dollars in Q4 2017.

The number of Bitcoin ATMs increased from 954 in January 2016 to 2,053 by January 2018. Most Bitcoin ATMs, as of January 2018, were located in the United States and Canada. The Bitcoin ATMs located in Europe constituted 20.42 percent of the global ATM market share. The leading ATM producer worldwide as of January 2018 was Genesis Coin, with 36.01 percent of the market share.

However, the future of this virtual currency is yet unknown. If the most important difficulties are overcome, especially those related with regulations on the cryptocurrency market, and people all over the world start to trust in Bitcoin, it might become one of the most popular online payment means. As of August 2017, roughly 40 percent of the Americans were willing to use Bitcoin for transactions and making purchases.

since people are still investing, people are still earning it and the fact that there are a lot of people here in the forum is a reason that Bitcoin is still not losing its popularity.

Do you think Bitcoin still has the mass interest and a lot of popularity?

BTCBTCBTCBTCBTC

It seems to me that bitcoin is becoming more popular. As they say, anti-advertising is also advertising. If a year ago I did not hear the word crypto currency from anyone in my environment, now even comedians in their shows joke about it) now the question is how it will appear on it and what will happen next.

Look at the user-base, trade volume and acceptability. There is no altcoin which comes even close to Bitcoin as far as these parameters are concerned. The market cap of Bitcoin is even more than that of many fiat currencies, such as the Swiss France and Russian Ruble.

Do you think Bitcoin still has the mass interest and a lot of popularity?

BTCBTCBTCBTCBTC

Yes, and I know that every single times, days, months or years of it's existence for sure that it still reach and maintain it's popularity and really mark it's name in the crypto market. And I think that there will be much more number of people who are very interested about it because of it's popularity. More and more people doing investment to this because there are sure benefit and profit that we can earn from this.

Yes, the decrease in value and the bad image due to circulated scam issues of the bitcoin did not affect it's popularity. Many people today are willing to invest because they feel a positive response in the market.

Irrespective of the current situation surrounding bitcoin prices and criticism, bitcoin still remain  very popular among all ICO at this present time. Bitcoin is the first cryto currency to exist and over a time it has gain a lot of popularity. It will take years if not 50yrs for any serious competition because many people have invested into bitcoin.
Looking at its current situation everyone might say that bitcoin is really losing its popularity. But I don't think that way because for me the integrity of bitcoin is still there. As you can see there's still a lot of people who keeps on using it and they still have trust with bitcoin. Having a problem doesn't mean that you will be forgotten it's just that you're being in trouble.

With the current news that Samsung is coming up with a bitcoin device and even the rush into bitcoin community because of the fall in price, I think bitcoin will still maintain or even grow in it's popularity.

I think bitcoin still exists in people's hearts, regarding the bitcoin population we can see more and more days joining or searching for it, all sorts of efforts they have to get bitcoin as free as more and more, the current price issue is not a bad thing for all circles but they all took a very good moment today, to buy so many bitcoins at the moment ..

For the time being bitcoin seems to be losing its popularity as traders mostly leave the crypto market due to the ever-decreasing bitcoin price, and if in the future the bitcoin prices start to stabilize I'm sure the traders will come back to enliven the bitcoin in the crypto market.
