One of the many things the disappearance of Satoshi Nakamoto produced is the continuation of so many ideas, opinions, speculations, hypothesis and everything in between. Bitcoin pointed out to banker bailouts in the genesis block. So people would think it is kind of like anti banker.

Reading the first sentence of the white paper, it does become apparent it is anti current financial institution(fiat usd,cad,euro,yen etc)

So satoshi was taking on the biggest boys in the game, bigger than a nation, the banking systems of the nations. clearly in the white paper in the first sentence it state the purpose of bitcoin not to have to go through financial institutions but people still do, the second you change btc into fiat you are going through one. I have obtained many btc (never used fiat to buy them) and I have used many bitcoins to buy items (did not use fiat). So it is possible to use btc as it is intended.
So satoshi nakamoto was pretty much taking on the banks, People have been killed for less, but keep this in mind that it could all be reverse psychology and satoshi could be working for the IMF or FED.
satoshi did say in a email that he left the project to Gavin Andreson and it is in good hands
