Cool.

Now if only Bitcoin could get a mention in Game Of Thrones...

How many Gold Dragons would one Bitcoin be worth?

Haha.
Probably 1 Gold Dragon would get you like 10 bitcoins. xD

Well I am not really that surprised. Blacklist has already been mentioned once and its popularity has just been increasing ever since then. Hopefully more shows start mentioning it.

Never hurts to get a bit more free publicity.

Hopefully this can spread the word about BTC a bit more Smiley

It's nice seeing BTCitcoin word getting out there recently (again), has been a while on T.V shows (around 5 months ago, there were much more). There's another one that aired couple of weeks ago, "iZombie S02E18 , at run time 10:40 - 10:45". It's their 3rd time mentioning BTCitcoin on their series (IIRC). It says just sign for brain plan, 25 grand a month, we now take BTCitcoin (with a laugh though).

Bitcoin has been getting mentions on more and more tv shows lately. Most mentions however involve some anonymous illegal payment though.  Not sure if this is the best publicity bitcoin can get, but it sure gets the word out there more! Ultimately i guess any mention is worth something at the current point in time. Maybe in the close future we will see it being used in shows at a different way, where itis used to avoid the banks and full centralization. Maybe in a prepper documentary or something.

As someone coming from the East, I have nearly no idea what Blacklist is, except that I see a commercial of it when I'm channel surfing. It's a good thing though that bitcoin is getting a mention on a TV series, which is a really good publicity for many viewers.
Although most of them would just probably ignore what it is but a rare percentage of the viewers will, somehow, take a search on it. Probably.

Lot of these shows lately push the hacker narrative that these guys can get into a system and manipulate with in seconds and they usually want bitcoin in return. Bloody disturbed bitcoin hackers! Cheesy
Lot of the time they mention bitcoin but never get into what it is or misuse it well pushing a negative narrartive.

Either way good to see it mentioned.

Bitcoin has been mentioned in so many tv series over the last couple of years now. Mostly with a negative touch.
I don't see this as something special anymore.
I believe we also had one or two treads here somewhere with a list of series where Bitcoin was a topic or mentioned.

Here:

Seems like it was already mentioned on Blacklist prior to this or may this was the same episode, can't say for sure as I don't watch it. And it might not be special to all of us since we know what it is but it does sparks a curiosity in people when they hear/see it on Tv/Movies and then they try to find out more about it and many of those might end up liking it, I would think.

You'll suck, the best mention of bitcoin ever come out of TV shows was through Peter Griffen's mouth.[Family guy ]

It's nice that Bitcoin gets mentioned, but it was just for a very short time. I'm sure people that don't know Bitcoin don't even bother to do some research about what this "Bitcoin thing" that they are talking about really is. I would prefer to see them use Bitcoin as that will make people interested and perhaps even make them search for Bitcoin.

Yeah I just watched the whole episode. Blacklist is one of my favourite shows and for Bitcoin to be mentioned on it is very cool. Hopefully it keeps happening. Smiley

Thanks for the links i enjoy it .
Bitcoin\alternative coins are always known as a standard payment gateway in black-market by the veto countries like USA,china, rus .. because it is too difficult to control the two peers involved in the payment(sender\receiver) but who care this exactly why me & many other persons like bitcoin for.

The only good one I remembered coming out from a tv drama was when Erlich in Silicon Valley told Richard "Do you know how much the twins are worth in bitcoin? "

Gilfoyle was mining Bitcoins in the Garage, as well.  Grin
