Your bro has complained that the noobs are derailing the thread making the possible capture of the scammers more difficult.. maybe you should talk to flipper cause you are doing a dam good job at derailing the thread. How did that cracked software get mixed in with the CTS downloads.

Please, humour me (yeah, I'm a noob and unworthy of your acknowledgement), Eric — how did a piece of pirated software end up in the directory of the CTS site dump? And not just that, but how did you manage to also compress and zip it without noticing it contained within?

Even if I'm to entertain the CTS directory was downloaded to your browser or site dump's software default directory; it should have been in the root of said directory and not mixed with hacked DVD ripping software. They would have been their own separate directories in the root directory. 

 

All that is a great summary, but is missing a part. The zip file uploaded by Hawaii Five-O may have included malware. Not sure if it came from him but perhaps this malware "exploit:Java/cve-2010-0840".
Why do I say this? Because when I download the zip file, it gave a warning, and the ran a full scan and this exploit appeared in my computer, which was never there before in previous AV scans.
