It´s a surprise for me too, but I was watching what my explain this enormous growth and I partially agree with it. It may be 3 factors, the China economy which shows some weakness and people are securing their investment in bitcoin. Bitcoin becoming future assets and hedge, plus the end of year investment trend that happened in 2015 and 2016 and is repeating this year.
If you add all three factors then, the numbers will be outrageous, exactly what we are seeing .

This is nice Bitcoin has surprised me yet again I mean bitcoin just before December 25th I mean who would have thought right it keeps improving and improving at a very fast pace. Now I wouldn't even be surprised if it reaches 25,000 USD by the year-end or right at Christmas season.
Unbelievable! We all were talking here on the forum that the maximum price we may expect is 10000$ by the end of the year, but bitcoin doesn't stop to surprise! Now I think 25000$ is not going to be something impossible to happen.

Its definitely amazing..to see how bitcoins price continously increasing, but at the back of that, people are quite nervous what would happen next, because of sudden increase it might drop again for certain corrections happened last time. Let us just be positive that it would reach up to $20k or more before the year ends.

I was thinking bitcoin will only reach 12k maximum. But now so amazing.
First i doubted that bitcoin will reach $10k this year, but it hit the $10k mark. Second i doubted again that it can hit $15k. But bitcoin proved me that i am wrong. Now i think bitcoin will grow even more. I trust bitcoin now.
This is great news. Everyone is pretty excited about this. I must say, I never expected this at the beginning of the year. Bitcoin has a very bright future. Alot of people are really starting to wake up to Bitcoin's possibility.
There is a bit pumped for the launch of the futures on December 18. And after a peak point or somewhere in the area of end of December goes hard (or not hard, but long) drain.
It is a the most good news now in the world of cryptocurrency especially who mainly mine, collect, or trade bitcoins. Bitcoin never disappoints the expectations of every people here. More value more profit. How much more will it increase until the last day of this year.
Previous weeks is really a big vreakthrough for busy it's like increasing in value 500-1000 dollars everyday. For sure, btc holders specially those who have huge amounts in their btc wallet are now in celebration and off course those who don't believe in bitcoin perhaps are now in regrets.

Think twice... I sold 0.5btc @ 8000 and sold another 2.5btc at 10,000. I didn't think it will go bullish after the ATH 10,000... Now I somehow regret what I did. Anyway, it was a great ride though, I bought those bitcoins back in Feb @ 800.

I have not much bitcoin and when i see the price i am so surprise, really. I don expect this price too beforw new year.

Sounds like just another angle the press is using to say bitcoin is bad, after the one "it's used for illegal activities". It's funny that I red the exact same thing on another forum some 12 hours ago. And the source is some press article.
Amazing, within a short period of time Bitcoin value surged to 15000k$ very fastly and moving upwards. I never thought like this because we missed the boat in the beginning and it is very tough for me to buy Bitcoin with this high price.

Well now that bitcoin has hit an all new level of All Time High, are we still heading up or can we see a correction right now? We can never say but if another Fork would be establish then I think there will be a halt in the pump of bitcoin or some negative news on the internet just like what is happening in the environment right now that has a detrimental effect over it, because of the so much effort that is use in mining in bitcoin right now and as the world has simply not done enough to combat climate change, and as the price of bitcoin has pumped so much and we are nearing the end of the mining era for bitcoin miners are using so much electricity that the entire united states are using, it will need a lot and lot and more powerful miner to mine the last block, this may cause us and can halt the mining process for bitcoin.
It is a great news for those who already have abundant number of Bitcoins in their wallets. But it is kind of non-profitable for those who want to buy Bitcoins. 15000$ is a quite high amount for many of us, and most of us can't afford to buy Bitcoin at that price. It is right to think that Bitcoin will go up higher than 20k, but if it falls back to 10K than most of the investors will lose their money, and instead of making any profits they will go toward losses.
Everyone want to get profits and no one wants to have any losses. Those who can hold Bitcoin at 15k will be richer and richer than those who will sell it. Bitcoin is the future and holding it is kind of a wise decision. Hold your coins and be wealthy.

With that kind of thinking, I guess prices will surely go down.
When people get scared, they will sell that would eventually drop the bitcoin market size.
But I think it will be a good thing for some. They will buy lower priced bitcoins because I know, once that you are involved with such technology, it's going to be a part of someone's life. They knew now how bitcoin can rise within days and nothing is impossible as long as there are faithful users.
This is quite great knowing that bitcoin is growing. I think more of the world's population is starting to acknowledge it more. 2017 is truly bitcoins highlight.
