I had a field research job that used to pay through paypal and coinbase, whichever is chosen by the researcher. But now they removed coinbase from the options. I think it's the volatility of btc, they might be thinking that with the steady rise of btc exchange rate, they will end up paying more than they're suppposed to. Not very lucrative option on the business side.
Recently, amazon was in news for its preparation to accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment. This will surely boast another companies to invest in Bitcoin and realize its potential. Bitcoin is still not widely accepted as a mode of payment due to its frequent change in price, once a proper system is attained so that volatility factor does not affect the profit of a company then every company may introduce Bitcoin as a mode of payment soon.

According to my guess, in 10 years, Bitcoin will be the most popular form of online payment, replacing the current payment methods because it must be mediated, costly and less secure, not high security.
As bitcoin has created the revolution of cryptocurrency and is working good as we all aware that the online payment is daily increasing and for sure the day paying directly with bitcoin is not so far as what I believe is it is a process that take time so we should wait for that day which is very close to us. The use of bitcoin for online transactions is proven better than regular money, this we can compare in terms of speed, security and lower costs, I'm sure someday bitcoin becomes the top priority of online payment systems that beat paypal.
I think for now it can not, because any users or people who make money through youtube not all will receive bitcoin, except youtube parties who want to replace the dollar with bitcoin as a youtube payment tool, but this is very difficult to be fulfilled because given the value of bitcoin that move is not erratic.

to be more realistic, they will not do that. please see the prices of bitcoin and watch the graph carefully. the fluctuation of bitcoin 's price is so wavy.if they pay you with btc, it will be messy for them due to they cannot fix the budget.
