Never put any significant amounts of coins in any online wallet. Keep multiple offline wallets with you and store the bulk of your coins in them. There are large number of options including USB sticks and paper-wallets.

Thanks, nice that I could set up multiple online accounts since that is easy for  me.

Thanks. Does offline BTC wallet 100% safe?

Nothing is 100%.     99.999999%,  perhaps;  how many 9s depends on how strong your military grade physical security protections,  how strong your vault doors, and how effective the armed guards and security support teams you have helping to protect the  vaults  holding  the various segments of your wallet's private key.

It's as secure as the strength of your private key and how securely you generated that private key and kept it secret -- and the strength of the crypto algorithms.

A keypair generated using a flawwed random number generator, or based on a low-entropy passphrase  ("Brainwallet") may be guessable and less than 99% safe.

You made your point clear. Thanks. Smiley

An online wallet is never 100% safe, some are better than others
I use blockchain, but please don't keep large amounts in online wallets
Bulk of holdings should be held offline

Thanks. Does offline BTC wallet 100% safe?

For wallets on your computer, your computer might be hacked.

If you mean paper wallets, these are as safe as you make them safe. If you do it right, almost 100% safe

Online and offline wallets can only ever be as safe as you are. An online blockchain wallet is probably safer for a newb than someone who has zero protection on their computer, providing you set up all the provided security features - 2 factor auth and a second password etc.

Those who have BTC online wallet, how secure it is?
I wonder how safe it is to have an online wallet for Bitcoin. Any instances that your online wallet was hacked?

Better store your BTC in an offline wallet. There is enough to read on this forum on how to store your BTC. Personally I do keep a small amount online (exchange) but that's because I daytrade and don't feel like sending my BTC back and forth...
