will bitcoin be able to replace every means of payment in future?
Who knows but yes it might replace virtual transfer currency i.e paypal, etc.
whats your opinion?
I think yes bitcoin will be able to replace every mean of payment in the near future as bitcoin is a more favorable payment system all over the world, people feel more convenient with that payment system and love it to spread everywhere.

I don't believe that Bitcoin will replace every alternative means of digital payment systems nor supersede paper money because in essence Bitcoin has been a super-volatile commodity used by investors and speculators to yield big profit in the shortest time possible and this won't make Bitcoin a good national currency for any country in the world. On the other hand, the Bitcoin technology underlying Bitcoin will have a bright future because of its great usability in different public services and businesses.

It is very possible that bitcoin may replace every means of payment in the future, but there are factors need to be met to make that happen.  The first thing to establish is the internet connection.  This thing should be available everywhere else the idea of Bitcoin replacing all the means of payment will simply wont happen.

From the very beginning when I knew about paypal, I wishes that paypal spread to all over the worlds as with that those services who use paypal for their payment will have access to all over the world, but when I heard about bitcoin, I forgot about paypal and found bitcoin as my goal.

Just like you, I also don’t know that it will replace almost all payment system of the world, but it will definitely replace online payment processors, as with that payment processors people are losing much of their money in paying transaction fees while in bitcoin they transact huge amount of money with least fees.

A payment method that will surely stay in existence are gift cards.
Why?  As the boss of your company you don't want customers using the gift card of your company to pay for competitors.

The possibility is always there, and we are referring to the future, so nobody can surely say yes or no. But what's sure is that, all modes of payments have their pros and cons, depending on people's needs. Bitcoin has the potential of becoming popular just like PayPal as of today, and more convenient than other means, however, it will really take time for it to be adopted worldwide. For me, as what others have mentioned, it could be better if bitcoin will be added as another mode of payment, another option, and no need to be the only option.

I am positive that bitcoin will conquer online virtual transactions but to say that it will replace paypal and other sites I dont agree. Paypal right now has integrated bitcoin in their transactions it will not take long that bitcoin as a mode of payment will be implemented by Paypal. These transfer sites will no going to vanish but instead will going to adopt and integrate bitcoins in their operations.

Me and most of others are quite sure that bitcoin could replace paypal like payment processor in near future. You can see how paypal is now slowly moving towards accepting bitcoin through coinbase and may be later on they will be forced to allow direct deposit via bitcoin. I love bitcoin with low fees than paypal with high fee and lots of limitation.
Let's hope that with this move, that Ebay and Amazon will start to accept BTC in their businesses. It would be profitable for both of them if they do, since more and more people are discovering BTC everyday.
because paypal now starting cooperation with coinbase, maybe you're now be able to pay ebay and amazon through bitcoin but using paypal's way
it's not directly saying ebay and amazon accepting bitcoin but they're accepting it through paypal, and it seems quite helping

Can you post any link/article about this fact? I think it's an old news from 2 years ago (if I'm not wrong).

i think it is a new thing, and if i am not mistaken. it is not a cooperation/partnership instead coinbase has only added the option to only pay you your money into your paypal account. there isn't even a deposit from paypal option.

It has already replaced a number of online payment systems, now people prefer bitcoin for their online transfer of money, and try their best to find those places where bitcoin is accepted as payment for purchases etc.

I think bitcoin will be one of the popular means of payment in future. It will not be the only one. Traditional banking/payment processors will evolve and will continue to compete with bitcoin.

People will just choose the features they want in the payment of choice (both senders and receivers).

Do you know that once you deal with a seller (without any escrow) most of the time you have to send first the money, what happens in the seller does not response to you never, you can't ask for a refund like in paypal, paypal can't be replaced by bitcoin.

I do think that paypal is the 'escrow' in that case, this is why they allow chargeback anytime. When you use bitcoin and you are buying something online just use an escrow service (like bitrated) and you are fine. I don't get why you should not use an escrow  Cheesy when you use btc.

I think that we may really see bitcoin taking advantage over any other type of online payment.
Bitcoin is fairly easy to use,it is pretty fast and also safe.
These are the main reasons that may lead to bitcoin taking over the other online payments, and it is also anonymous,so it may be comfortable with many retail sellers.
We have to wait for some time, and we will see what is going to happen about it :]

Bitcoin isn't anonymous, it's pseudo-anonymous.
7 years before its creation and people still think that Bitcoin is anonymous, this is very dangerous.

Without doubt, Bitcoin has the potential to replace all other currencies and associated transfer systems worldwide. At least in the digital realm. In addition, Bitcoin 2nd layer technologies might also replace other asset allocation, exchange, and transfer systems like stock markets and land owner registries.

But this will only happen, if Bitcoin will be increasingly used as a direct payment method, without intermediate fiat conversion. Using Bitcoin payment processors that convert Bitcoin to fiat money are a possible obstacle for Bitcoin's success, since these add unnecessary time lags and costs to what otherwise be a seamless process.

Bitcoin is not going to be some sort of miracle currency that is going to take away the need for paying with cash or other fiat payment systems, at most Bitcoin will become something that will back other currencies, partially due to the lack of really quick transactions with Bitcoin as of today. Bitcoin could definitely be a massive game changer, but it won't affect people on the individual level.
