don't try to compare them, they have their own places and advantages. Bitcoin is the ancestor, dogecoin is a funny dog loved by peoples.

Which is more profitable and most preffered by the many?
Bitcoin is the best choice because no matter how many dogecoin you will going to have still you were going to trade it to bitcoin so that from bitcoin you will gonna sell it for your local money. Even how many altcoins we keep and hoard but if they are going to trade to bitcoin in the end still bitcoin will lead the high price value due to buying demand. But anyway you may take both because what is really important is the earnings.
For what ? If you ask which is more safety to invest bitcoin is king but for short term investment i recomend doge but for long term i don't recomend doge and I recomend bitcoin or altcoin like ETH,LTC,Dash,Waves and other.

Bitcoin is better than dogecoin as this is the most used. And the price is being expensive anyone could earn with bitcoin by investing. Though dogecoin is cheap price but I still choose bitcoin. 
The price of dogecoin is very low right now so it can be an perfect time to buy it but to make profits from it you need to wait too long and you can never compare dogecoin with bitcoin as bitcoin is the market leader and will maintain its position in coming years too so most probably I will prefer to invest in bitcoin for higher profits.

Er.. I am sure you know the answer, bitcoin no brainer. The only thing that dogecoin could win is that for the same amount money you pay for bitcoin, you could be a millionaire in dogecoin.
The question is almost rhetorical. Dogecoin can not be compared to bitcoin. Bitcoin was and remains the leader of the crypto currency. It can still be compared with the etherium, but not with this not-so-popular coin.
Last time I checked 1 dogecoin was worth much less than 1 BTC, so Bitcoin
If we're talking about the masses, its got to be bitcoin as it is more established and the most popular digi coin. Even if we talk about it profit-wise, bitcoin would still win hands down since it has the largest market cap.
If you are asking which is more profitable and used by many, I think you are not a bitcoiner because we all know that bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency of all time. Also, bitcoin is the origin of all cryptocurrencies so why are you asking that? I know almost of the crytocurrency users prefer bitcoin than dogecoin so my answer is bitcoin because it is really bitcoin that vanquish all the cryptocurrencies.

It may be possible to compare dogecoin with another altcoin but this is an unreasonable compare.

Dogecoin is very cheap and it has a great volume so if you believe on it better take it now.It can grow more in time so it's going to be a long hold, bitcoin is good for both long term hold and active trading because of it's fluctuation
so you can choose which one you want but I think it's better to have both.
Dogecoin hasn't show any improvement lately and the price is low and cant go up, dogecoin has become a dead coin for a long time luckily dogecoin has been existed for a long time so gambling sites already implemented it, if there are no sites implementation I think bitcoin has been a dead coin for a long time

There is no comparison between these two coins or in more clearer view there is no comparison of bitcoin with any kind of altcoin. I know you must be needing a push factor to invest into dogecoin as it is low in value and thinking that it will explode it anytime. The true fact is you can count on dogecoin but you don't need to compared it with bitcoin because that will always take bitcoin as primary currency to invest in. As long as you see bitcoin it is always profitable because the currency has passed all the stress test and its not going down in any time future. The dogecoin is altcoin anyway so there is investment which is risky but in long terms you may hope to see some good results from it.
