in present time as the price of bitcoin is increasing regularly therefore i will like to give preference to bitcoin instead of gold. because the price of gold is increasing very in a very very low speed, as compare to bitcoin where as bitcoin rate is increasing very rapidly it is expected that in next few months the price of bitcoin will easily cross the 1200 $ limit. and that is the reason that i have invested all my assets in bitcoin.

I think I'm going to go with Bitcoins. We have seen the dramatic rise that bitcoin can do. Gold is not something new to be honest. If you have some golds, it would only seem normal for people. They would think that you'd use it to make an accessory like necklace, earrings, rings, etc. And the price of gold doesn't go so high after years.

Bitcoin on the other hand went from a couple of dollars into hundreds of dollars after a few years. And OP said that I get to keep it for 10 years. Imagine buying bitcoins now and imagine the price of bitcoin in the future considering the fact that bitcoin is getting known by a lot of people now.

Gold is really been good since the ancient times and the value of it has been proven through out the years.  But as of now, bitcoin is really something that has going to have potential. But the people are going to have hard time in order to adopt the usage of bitcoin. But I can see that is going to be possible and going to be easy at all.

If we compare bitcoin to gold, then we are the early gold miners in ancient times. Hence, we are at the very best place t mine and hold for future big spike of bitcoin price.

Not yet man, we are still young and anything could happen. Bitcoin can also be replicated with other program and we even have a similar features in altcoins while gold is you cannot replicate it so you cannot affirm your statement with the reality.

There is nothing similar to bitcoin currently, it is the only one thing in the world currently. It is said that bitcoin is the new gold so if you want to compare all this things then ypu could compare those altcoins to copper, silver or anything else you could think but dont compare those stuff with bitcoin or gold

Bitcoin is effectively becoming digital gold, we can continue to see validation of bitcoin as something detached from a centralized government that allows people who works to preserve wealth in a secure way.

Gold and platinum, over the past week, have outperformed.  Since I have followed this thread (and other similar ones), precious metals and Bitcoin have taken the lead at different times...

Both have a place in a portfolio IMO.  They are different "vectors" if you will, relatively independent of each other.  Diversification is King.

Both have their risks (BTC might, probably not, but might go to zero; gold can get stolen even if you hide the phyzz).

It can also get confiscated (officially stolen, lol). Regarding diversification, here's a famous quite from Buffett the Oracle

I prefer bitcoin or other currencies such as Ethereum or Monero. They are more useful to buy things.

More useful? Buy why your ETH and Monero are not that popular compare to bitcoin or even we are to matched it with gold?

Look like you need some more research about your claims.

Not realy for buy Euthereum and moreno, there just ALTcoin like alternative for bitcoin. and i'm realy don't trust from altcoin.

we can't juxtaposing all of it in one category, it's all are different, gold and bitcoin it's very different even though I can't deny that by investing in bitcoin is more profitable.
That would always depend on the interest of a person, if he likes gold then he could be profitable more with gold as it is less complicated than bitcoins in terms of investment, in bitcoins is requires technological knowledge on how to use it over the internet and not all people have that skills or interest.

Given the choice, I would go for gold. The reason is simple. Gold is a tangible asset and it has enormous value. Though it will not appreciate like bitcoin, but you will have a secure asset.

We are not sure, if bitcoin will be still strong like today. But you know for sure that gold will be available even after 30 years from today. So if you take bitcoin as an investment, gold will also serve the same purpose.

If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I have no doubt that in 10 years Bitcoin will rise more in USD than gold will. In fact, gold might even fall a bit, which hardly will happen to Bitcoin. But I know of course that it's easy to say when you actually have no wealth and thus you will not be at risk of losing it anyway.

On the other note, bitcoin and gold have different aspects so I don't see comparing their value for years or decades is a big deal here.

There are role of gold that can't be achieved by bitcoin and vice versa. So no such thing to compare their price.
Gold is greater than bitcoin but it is not for everyone while bitcoin can be easily used by any person with capability to understand it. Gold is too expensive investment and only those who can afford to the requirement can make benefit our of it.

Some say that Bitcoin won't last more than a few more years. This is not likely (though still possible), but to say that Bitcoin can hardly fall (let alone fall a little) is bordering on wishful thinking, anyway you look at it

ofcourse i chose gold

why ?
because bitcoin will bankrupt / smthing

and gold u can keep it until u die xD
no one investment is safe, not gold, bitcoin, property or etc. every investment have a risk and gold in this year drop -40%

No investment guarantees you the success. It is better to diversify the investments in different products. But for me I choose Gold over bitcoin as Gold have many satisfied customers who have invested in the past and have earned good profits too. So I would choose to invest in Gold rather then bitcoins.

To invest you must risk, we can see in history how often people lose by their investment or didnt get all the invest at the end

Risk will always follow when it comes to invetment. No investment is sure shot success. The luck factor is also important when it comes to an investment. And I think real estate is one field which is better then bitcoin or gold as the value keeps on increasing day by day and after 5 to 10 years your investment is almost doubled.

I have invested in many platforms what were cloud mining, i got some proffit at the beginning but at then end i was scammed.
So must be always careful when we choose to invest somewhere

Yeah even I was planning to invest in cloud mining, but one of my expert friend suggested me not to invest in it, he told me at the early stage they will pay you in the beginning but at the end it would be turn out to be a scam, and the same thing happened, so I was lucky enough not to loose my money in it.

If you are planning to invest on cloud mining then its better to invest on gold. Cloud mining offers low interest and you will gain your investment or capital in a year. But within that year you are not sure if the site will continue to operate or just close because of high maintenance. So if you are going to invest dont invest on cloud mining you are wasting time at the same time bitcoins.

Yeah, invest on cloud mining is really wasted your time and takes long time to get ROI. I think it's better to invest on another way beside cloud mining.
