Gold is beautiful, but my favourite for sure right now is Bitcoin.
It's hot and happening. Can't see this changing on the short term.
ya gold is beautiful but boring at the same time, bitcoin is more interesting imo cuz the price fluctuations make you feel like you're gambling.

if you're looking for a safer investment id go with gold.

gold is way better than bitcoin to be honest, i think that i would choose it over gold because bitcoin is a better investment than gold i think

You speak like you don't have a choice. Why don't you go over to gold then? I mean, it's safe indeed, then why not invest in gold?

Nice to see so many different opinions around here. Personally I prefer liquidity and in this aspect bitcoin is my choice. Also, it's obviously the one with the higher potential to increase in price between the two.

Price volatility of bitcoin is much more than gold, however nowadays both of them are decreasing but it seems that at least bitcoin will grow near future but not sure about gold.

Gold is shiny.  Gold is beautiful.  Gold is heavy.  Gold endures.

People want gold, and have for 5000 + years.  The world history proven store of value for millennia.

People with IQs under 100 (roughly half the population) can deal more easily with gold than with Bitcoin.

Gold and Bitcoin have different attributes.  They play in somewhat different spaces.  Their "price vectors" go in different directions.

Own both!

They both do play in different spaces, and both have their own values but on completely different means, as Gold's shine is getting blurry these days whilst Bitcoin is getting to shine much more better than it previously was...

Not just the value, but it is being developed in many more ways and many new things are being accepted by both users and miners...

Everything is better than fiat!

That's right, if the monetary item is not deflationary.
I'd always on side with making baskets, I'd put %30 gold, %30 stocks-bonds and %40 Bitcoin. First 2 are useful for stable price rise and the latter is making us rich in long term.

Stocks are very much riskier as compared to Bitcoins, as you are somehow assured to get to the place where you bought your BTC even if they get dumped the same day, but stocks gone once are gone forever and you won't see them back at such place again, for e.g.; penny stocks...

I would say that's a risky play putting that much of a percentage into stock & bonds...

When pouring your investments into stuff such as Bitcoin or gold, you are essentially betting that the economy & fiat system is going to be going down soon... so to say that the monetary system is going down, I wouldn't put more than 15-10% of your investing capital into stocks and bonds.  I understand it is a way to hedge bets so you wouldn't lose out so much if you are proven wrong, but still... I just don't see the stock market/global economy doing so well in the next couple of years.

Bitcoin will be making us rich long term if people can figure out what they want to do with the blockchain, and stop creating a politically unstable environment which is in turn damaging the value. I am confident that someone will be able to figure it out, but we'll have to wait and see what will happen over the short term.

That will happen in the long term, at the end of the time people (devs) have to reach consensus.
At that time price will be sky-rocketed and we'll be 2nd tier Bitcoin riches.

Do you know guys that Americans Prefer Gold Over Bitcoin?
According to new survey only 13% people would chose to invest in bitcoin over gold. And 42% of people would invest in Gold.
People have more interest in Gold then bitcoin .
So guys what do you select bitcoin or gold ? its upto you .
Gold can help you anytime in future you can sell gold whenever you want to .Gold is the best option in my way.And Gold price keep increasing it don't drop like bitcoin.Gold is like Permanent insurance.
Lol. Of course more people would chosoe gold over bitcoin - they're ignorant of any news about bitcoin, and most probably have no idea about what it even is. I'm not quite sure about what happened to the other 45% of the people who were surveyed, but I feel like the amount of Americans that would invest in Bitcoin is probably more around like 5-10%. Criminal activities are the only real outlets that come from Bitcoin, and so most people don't get the whole story.
The price of gold is not permanent insurance, though. You need to get that in your head.

Haha, and who were the "people" that conducted that "study"?  I'm sure that if there was a legitimate study amongst all of Americans in a random study, there would be 90% of people that chose option C: "WTF is Bitcoin?"

Fact of the matter is, is that you are probably right though as of right now, if there was such a study, people would still choose gold because it's more valuable right now, plus the fact that most people who have heard of bitcoin now think of bitcoin as some terrorist funding tool ever since the Paris attacks; and even before that people only thought it was only used by dark web criminals for drugs, prostitution, and hitmen.

If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

i believe bitcoin will bring a lot of money in my pocket in long term that's why i choose bitcoin..
