personally it makes me anxious because i'd like to be very heavily invested in bitcoins, but don't have any spare fiat to pump into it yet.

if i had a spare $500k, that's about how much i'd be willing to dump in at this point.

yep... if i had have had the resources to do this, i'd be up $333,000 in one month.

$15 again please... :/

Previous post made on January 21 2013....

if that's true, why does the forum timestamp it as January 17th? nm, duh, i thought you meant my previous post

Do you think its possible LTC could ever reach a dollar?

Yes; maybe 2+ years

Never saw so much litecoin pumping in one thread. Geez.

No

which one is better for investment? BTC or LTC?

none. LTC could be. BTC is more of a sure thing if you buy AT THE RIGHT TIME. now is not the right time. if it shoots to $20; expect $15 at least; or as low as $12, or $10 if we're lucky

if BTC creeps to $17 mayhe $18...don't expect it lower than $14 $15

LTC is fairly low. If it's going to holdon as a currency which it probably will (for at least a year...)
It will rebound nicely from THIS PRICE POINT vs BTC

LTC could be more volatile; more gains; might take more patience

but look at the charts here; multiple chances to double your money in 1 year:

meeeeh I think BTC looks primed for a nice run with obvious corrections and pauses along the way.  LTC  looks like a bargain, well that is my impression, I know very little about these markets.

BTC ask wall at $20 looks imposing and should cap gains for awhile after a very nice run. I'm buying LTCs while they're on sale.

if anyone is upset they're ready to get into BTC but its high prices now (mini bubble)
you should buy LTC; which when btc drops from this bubble you can convert to BTC making more btc than if you would have originally bought btc

Watch out for the scam accusations if LTC drops even further.  Roll Eyes

I can already see it

That's a pretty ballsy move...

half a million dollars may sound like a lot, but it sounds a lot less when you say 32k btc.

i'm sure there's still a few people around who are sitting on at least that much.

I am still trying to wrap my head around inflation, I had no idea how cluster fucked everything was until I saw real life examples of it happening before my eyes, Bitcoin is jumping like crazy!

Sure, Bitcoin is promising as a method of exchange over the internet, but because it's unregulated it can be hard to anticipate major news.

Welcome to the forum!

Bitcoin is unregulated by states or banks, but in fact it's a highly (self-)regulated currency, the way the protocol is written. You cannot just conjure BTC up from thin air the way the banksters do with fiat, and that's just the start.
