Ore Mine - the same company that had signature campaign on bitcointalk was a ponzi? That was unexpected for me :/ They were active for a long time.
What will happen with all money they grabbed, feds are gonna give it back to people?

Feds? There are no feds!
Is this so hard to understand?

I said you it already several times:
You follow the advice from wrong people.

Invest where it is free or where the possible investment is so low that it is to low for the webmaster to go away...

Invest only where the webmaster is over 20 years on the net...and has so far never scammed...

Do not believe in too big profit.(prefer real profit even if it is very low...)
You forgot one point (probably among others):

The activity made by the site/company to earn money must be completely crystal clear. It must not be hard to explain.

absolutely true... if a company say " we make cloud mining" show proofs!
the vast majority of cloud mining site are only a ponzi "masked" by mining company and not much more...
ore mine I remember try to defend their business with a "different investments" only to mask their lack of real business inside!

and even, why you ask "peanuts" from users and pay "strong interest" when you can simply asking a bank loan?
Is more convenient!

I agree...but people often does not understand cristal clear things...people nowadays want not read...they want 100% in 24 hours and of course then are scammed.

That site was an obvious scam, everyone who has invested in that site should have known better.
But yeah, it is sad to see another ponzi scheme going into scam mode.
Mayby someone makes the effort to find this ponzi owner and dox him, then report him to the authority.
But I doubt many people invested in this shit.

I should have worded that better on my end, I was saying, It's not hard for the officials to out think us, that is all they do, to make it look like a scam to be able to take everything with no eyes on them, its what they do people, just like sending the first man to the moon. its classic redirection. keep the eyes on the admin while they crack him and get the coins, people when your life is threatened with a jail cell you will almost most certainly agree to anything to keep your freedom including giving away your funds and keeping your mouth shut. its not hard to believe it was a scam knowing how people operate, on the other hand being an american its not hard for me to believe my government did this either. so its just about upto a coin flip on my end, the "officials" are people too just with a better system of sucking the funds from the people they have "power" over. we should use our heads and trust what we know. it very well could be a scam on either side.

I can't believe people even consider the seizure is real. Of course it's just a lame attempt of the scammer to gain some time:

As I said here, there's absolutely no doubt the seizure is fake. Read this in detail:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13583846
I wonder if faking that seizure notice counts legally as faking documents. I guess Sector will spend a long time in jail.

Just after I posted this of course Sector locked that thread.

Don't put it past the U.S Government, it was seized just to be the governments way of keeping everyone's money, everyone just literally got robbed by the US government and is blaming the site Admin, the proof was the payout, i have used ore-mine.org for almost a year now, had over my investment back, that was the proof they was able to do as they claimed, "Mining" could be in many forms, creating games, javascript mining (if you don't know what this is i can show you) plus many more options other then "Mining companies" with hardware that cost's more in electric costs then they make, we all know mining is almost useless now, that is why all these companies are trying to "sell out" the equipment they "purchased". Sorry for all those who believe in a legit system, that is why BTC is so popular in the first place our system is and has been broken, look at the reasons Occupy Wall Street Started, We had the "Right" to renew our federal government, that worked really well right? they have the ability to do as they please because we give it to them. No other reasons then that. To any "Officials" reading this, you can argue all day long but the facts still stay the facts, The United States Government is based on nothing except for greed of what you can spend nothing more, nothing less. we are a product of Capitalism.

well I see the same facts...
too strange!

Seized website #1; LibertyReserve.
Domain: Libertyreserve.com

Seized website #2; Bodog
Domain: Bodog.com

"Seized" website #3; Ore-mine
Domain: ore-mine.org

Website #1 seized website image hosted at; http://libertyreserve.com/Seized5_HR.png
Image name is Seized5_HR.png

Website #2 seized website image hosted at; http://bodog.com/IPRC_Seized_2011_05_Baltimore.gif
Image name is IPRC_Seized_2011_05_Baltimore.gif

Website #3 seized website image hosted at; http://ore-mine.org/Seized5_HR.png
Image name is Seized5_HR.png

Let's see the differences.
LibertyReserve  & Ore-mine.
Image: Exact same reason for seizing. Exact same name.
I would say it was a very big coincidence if it wasn't for the fact that they added the 45% discount & the new years mine. Luring people in, scamming & claiming to be seized. The funny thing is they didn't even bother changing the image name. Bodog & a few other sites I checked with similar images/seize messages didn't have the "Seized5_HR.png" name.

Ore-mine.org's domain has been seized by the government.

www.ore-mine.org

It was an obvious Ponzi, but they seemed so small scale that they might evade detection. Nope!

There are a couple other sites out there running similar Ponzi-style shenanigans. Take heed, you're not fooling anyone.

They did evade detection!

That is not a real seizure.

It is a simple way for the site owners to not have to pay back the people who invested.

It is also just an image that they used that they got from a seizure of another site.

Really. I looked so real the first time I saw it. But I guess the pictures are really fake and that kind of gave it away for me.
Yeah. I also thought this was real until I saw the pictures. The wording is really good.  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

The site wasn't taken down by the US government. This landing page is simply because the ponzi collapsed and the owner needed a way out.

As you can see here, the domain still has the whois information of someone from the Russian Federation. In addition to this, the nameservers are still pointed to ns1.nameself.com and ns2.nameself.com, two servers also hosted in Russia. If it were legit, why would the US government be holding the server in a Russian registrar's servers?

Yeah, I realized pretty quickly after I posted this that this "seizure" by the government was faked. But your information about the registration information is very useful. Can the US authorities even seize a domain hosted in Russia?

This is actually being discussed on another thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=759702.0;topicseen

They replaced their landing page with an image and seemed to have planned this flawless change in order to not arise any suspician.

When the governments usually seize a server, they tend to take it offline pretty quickly. If they seized the server, they would have shut it down and have reimbursed as many people as possible.

Thanks for the link to that thread. I agree, the "shut down" looks totally fake. Can't say I have sympathy for anyone who lost money. It was an obvious scam.

If this was a legitimate take down, gov. wouldn't return money this quickly though. The notice would be the notice of the website take down, but no reimbursements could be done until a conviction or plea deal. There still needs to be due process.

Yes, this is correct. If the government did order the shutdown, it woudl just be the shutown. Then, they would try to recover lost funds, onced they seized the website and its owner.
I luckily only invested 0.0055 BTC. I invested 0.005 BTC in doublebot and want to see how that goes (still hopefull).
They would also email all the email addresses stored in their database before starting trial proceedings against the leaders so that, if the victims wanted to, they coud see the "leaders" being brought to justice.

Is doublebot the same type of scammy site? Bitcoin Factory is another one I'm aware of, but at least that one makes some income off ads. I'm curious, if doublebot is another ponzi-like site, and you are aware of this, why do you bother with them in the first place? Is it just the thrill of getting in early and trying to milk some btc out of them before they fold up?

is ore mine a ponzi?
I remember thread in scam accusation board... this type of thread doesn't need any reply...
because if someone could earn with investment such amount can only take private loan from a bank...
trust in this type of return is a scamming approach from the beginning.
