Now that we've been featured on Forbes and Time, I think Der Spiegel would be the next step.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if those guys copy one another.   How ridiculous it would be, though!

I can't find any details about Bitcoin on the Shopkeep.com website.  Anyone have a link to where this came from?

Jerry Brito, who wrote the Time article above, interviewed Gavin Andresen on Bitcoin.

The noob getting interviewed up there is yours truly.  I was really going by the seat of my pants and probably got some things factually wrong.. if anyone notices anything please please let me know so I can issue an errata.

I think at some point you said that the last bitcoin will be generated in 10 years or so.  I think it's rather a century or so.

not really a 'notable' press hit.

Nice article.

I'd like to mention one thing though.  To me it is not true that bitcoin doesn't require a thrid party for transactions.  It does.  The thing is that this third party changes all the time, every ten minutes or so.   It is elected in an opened, public process, and every node in the network can postulate.

I like it, too. It's well done.

It tells 3 very common inaccuracies, though:

  • "all transactions are completely free"
  • "transactions are instantaneous"
  • "there's much higher security than with traditional online banking"

True, apart from your point #3 (I really think bitcoin is much more secure than traditional online banking).

Still, it is a good exposé.

D'accord with point #3 being true. But the argument ("256 bits must be more secure than 128") that is often used is fail.

So it looks like it is the TIME.com tech section, not TIME magazine:

Still pretty amazing, I'd say.

I very much like this video from the guy of "howtovanish.com":

It's a pretty good exposé.   Make it buzz.

Well whatever, don't be nit picking Wink..

It's NOT true. But I'm hoping SOME DAY it will be true.

Dude, what are you trying to say?  Are you saying bitcoin is not appearing in TIME magazine?

Yes dude, that's what I'm saying. I do not get why you think bitcoin is appearing in TIME magazine.
