I've watched a lot of movies that mentioned bitcoin, there are several of them and to be sincere, it always gives me a good feeling as a bitcoin hodler.
As for the radio station mention the price of bitcoin as 1.25million dollars,  i think the directors of the movie knowing that the price of bitcoin is not stable, had to be futuristic about its price, that is their own way of predicting the future price of bitcoin, and also, this move of their will also help their movie to remain relevant at least until bitcoin reaches that price which i personally think will take a really long time, this is if that price is even possible at all.
$1.25M for 1 bitcoin is no small amount of money at all.

It is also possible that the Director or script writer wanted to be a hot topic when the price of Bitcoin goes up to $1.25M  just like how The Simpson got acknowledged for its prophetic predictions on things that will happen in the future of the day it was televised.

Anyway, the price $1.25m  is quite impossible until Bitcoin reaches $500k  each which is still impossible until Bitcoin breaks the $100k barrier.

Yes, maybe it could happen in the future and I wouldn't be surprised if it came true and look forward to seeing it later. I am sure bitcoin users will want to wait for that moment because they will make a huge profit later.

If the Bitcoin 4 year cycle keeps its effect  then the $1.25m is very possible.

Maybe the director or producer sees bitcoin's popularity has grown among the public and wants to see how the audience will react if he mentions the highest number that bitcoin will achieve in the future. And I think it's normal for the producer to include bitcoin in his video clips.

I think the director/writer wanted to be famous in the future if BTC touches 1.25m, to be a movie that predicts the future price of Bitcoin.

...
He was quite boring when I watched it because I thought the theme was about bitcoin but it wasn't. Now,
what I'm wondering is why the price of bitcoin was inserted into the car's radio station when the character opened it?
Is it possible that the director or the producer intended for the viewer to hear and see this thing? What do you think?
...

It is a popular topic and is used in mass culture more and more often so there could be two main reasons to mention Bitcoin rate in some show: to promote it if the one who added is a Bitcoin supporter; or to use a popular topic.

$1.25M is IMO possible even now if Bitcoin will become main currency instead of USD. Let's count, USD money supply is about $21B, so $1.25M*21M is $26.25B, about the same.

The movie looks to be in the future, it reminds me to mad max, but i'm not sure in what year they was living, i think the bitcoin price was mentioned as a part of science fiction and was a nice detail.

Se bitcoin at $1.25M still science fiction for now, but i don't think that would be something weird in 50 years. We can be sure the price will be or too high or zero. And that was one of satoshi's predictions.

It looks like the budget for that movie was really low, the scenarios didn't change much and the history was really slow from my point of view.

What's interesting to me is that the atmosphere of the film is more like a post-apocalypse, while the radio is working, albeit intermittently, but the announcer can be heard and we are talking about quotes and the price of bitcoin, including, I think the author decided to emphasize, among other things, the network's resistance to such disasters, so it's not surprising that the price reached $ 1.25 million.

Bitcoin price is hot topic in US since many people is investing on it and waiting for the price pump. Most of the US investors on social media is predicting astronomical price such as 1M or so. The director might use it to incorporate on his movie since the theme is all about getting rich and Bitcoin is very popular on this category.

The most iconic television program that features Bitcoin properly is Big bang theory since they explain Bitcoin and Blockchain in Eli5 format and this sitcom is the most popular in US when they air the episode.

Well it's good if we are going to see the price of bitcoin along that line in the future. However, this is just a movie, so it's fiction the best and maybe the director or someone involved in the creation of the movie just wanted to insert it, maybe he is a bitcoin enthusiast after all. And it's a win win for them, just like the OP, he was caught with the price being mentioned in the movie and now trying to spread it here in our community. Nevertheless, this is just a mere speculation and again, fiction that we shouldn't take very seriously.

$1.25 million is a probable amount within the next 5 decades or so, but who would hold that long?
If someone from this decade will be alived after 5 decades, there will certainly be people who would have hold BTC till that long. There are people in this forum who have been holding BTC from 2010 and counting.
Or what about a decentralized financial system where BTC will play an important rules which will force people to have everything in BTC? Everything is possible.
Currently most should still be early adopters looking at the end of blockrewards. Bitcoin has seen 3 halvings (2012-2016-2020) and there will be 31(32 not sure right now) more until 2148. In 2040 there will be less like 0.5 BTC as blockreward and in 2068 there will be BTC as currently in a weekly BTC campaign. The currency for the price of $1.25 million is now time. I would like to have a DeLorean and travel to 2148 and see the blockrewards and what happens after that.

Seems to me like some kind of easteregg or joke, since there only time basically bitcoin is in the news is when there is a new ATH. So I guess it is quiete funny to hear that in this movie that plays in the future.

Don’t underestimate Bitcoins my friend. Bitcoins have lot of potential to be honest. Back in 2013, all trolled Bitcoins and gave away on random stuffs. Then when Bitcoins suddenly touched 69k$ mark, all were stunned. Similarly now many people are mocking Bitcoins, once again if Bitcoins touch the pace, then definitely they will cry on their decision. I am pretty sure that the writers of the movie have, done equal research and have put that scene on the movie.

How can we know? We can't read others people mind or interrogate them. And I don't think the motivation matters that much.

I also don't like these sorts of unrealistic predictions, if you set your expectations too high, you will sooner or later get severely disappointed. People need to be grateful for what they already have, Bitcoin has demonstrated fantastic performance before, even if it stops growing, the people who invested in it before the 2021 bull run have gotten themselves a very sweet deal.

Yes, we will probably reach that figure, but much later than expected last year. People like Michael Saylor who were giving crazy predictions, Let's also look at Brian Armstrong:

Quote
Now, the chief executive of major crypto exchange Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, has admitted he "overestimated" bitcoin's potential as an inflation hedge, conceding it "looks like we’re a little too early."

‘I Overestimated’—Coinbase CEO Admits He Made A Big Mistake After $2 Trillion Bitcoin, Ethereum And Crypto Price Crash

If I live long enough I will still be holding but partially selling or spending as the price increases.

I thought it was a good easter egg and I watched the movie before hearing about it.  I also thought it was a good movie that displays how mistrust can hurt everyone.  I recommend watching it if anyone is looking for a good movie to see.  I was a bit shocked when I heard Bitcoin mentioned and when I originally heard it I didn't think anything of it, as I didn't catch the price part.  I was just happy to see Bitcoin found it's way into another mainstream media production.  It does show that there are a lot of folks who still believe in Bitcoin though, even in a bear market.  That can only be a good thing.

If you think about it and let's look at it, it's a very good feeling and a lot of fun if that's the price of a Bitcoin, that is if you have bitcoin holdings in the long term.
A random mention of Bitcoin in a movie scene does not indicate price action or movements. As mentioned already, it could be a sort of "click bait", to help with advertising of the movie, by getting users to share that particular scene and publicize the movie. Movies do this with subtitles and use of certain trending topics to boost the marketing.

$1.25 million is a probable amount within the next 5 decades or so, but who would hold that long?

Radio and  TV shows insert these things somehow. It's not new anymore. I recently watched the TV series OA, there was a scene where a Vietnamese shows her ETH wallet worth around $31,00 which her granddaughter got from a Meta game.

The commentator probably heard it from Cathy Woods who also predicted BTC to be more than a million in 2030. Followers always echo whats been said to them.

Such scene is not bad for a fiction movie. Movie directors and script writers insert different flairs normally to attract people's attention. Recently, Bitcoin is considered a digital gold so the movie is directed towards mining Gold and since mining is a term for Bitcoin it's not a bad idea to speculate bitcoin in a smart way like the director did. Saw viral tweets about the movie because of that particular scene. Now, I just viewed the movie through the link you shared. The aim of the director has been achieved and he/she did a great job for promoting Bitcoin and at same promoting the the movie through Bitcoin.

sometimes it can simply be the producer looking at whats trending in investments and deciding bitcoin seems like a modern thing to mention to spark some discussion
Since this movie was made in the late 2020/early 2021 (beginning of the bull run) and released in the early 2022, I guess this might be it as bitcoin was getting a lot of attention then.

Most probably that news is meant to emphasize that the action happens in a more or less distant future. Nothing else.
That movie is actually set in the near future. All I know is that i wouldn't mind hearing numbers like those in a couple of years or so.  Grin

@OP I wouldn't put too much thought into it as we are far from early days and a lot of people have been heard about bitcoin already.

movie producers love to add "hot topic" items into scripts/scenes to get different interest groups/communities mentioning the movie

EG certain hot topic actors from different genre type cast movies being put into one movie to encourage more people from different genres to watch the movie

sometimes the producer might have a persona interest in bitcoin and use his title to sway the screen writers to adapt a scene to mention it.
sometimes there is a company that is interested in it that sponsors a scene (product placement)

sometimes it can simply be the producer looking at whats trending in investments and deciding bitcoin seems like a modern thing to mention to spark some discussion

there is a topic on this forum that mentions many TV shows and movies that mention bitcoin.
i beleive the first big mention of a internationally show tv show was "the good wife" then came alot of the usual ones including the simpsons

you would be quite surprised how many tv shows and movies have now mentioned bitcoin for some reason or other

Investors don't watch fictional movies.

There's nothing out of the ordinary to care about, movies shouldn't be something that should be a deliberation of bitcoin speculation. Directors sometimes need hyperbole scenes just to appeal to certain groups, especially future-themed films.
