I hope in 2020 it is accepted in all stores including in groceries.

fees are already high enough to put me off making a few purchases. can you imagine what they'll be by then if there ain't more capacity? no one needs to make censorless payments to buy some eggs.

i think by 2020 we'll have a much clearer view of what bitcoin's gonna be. either it's on its way to being currency or gold 2.0 or it might be on its way out. i can't wait to see but i'm not 100% convinced that glory is in the bag yet.

2020 huh? Well for me I think it will be around 2000$. Well if the users are still convinced of using bitcoin, and the users also reach a high peak. The higher the demand the higher the users, right? And the higher the demand and the users, the higher the price it will get. But the users is the problem because of the limit of usage of bitcoin. Some stores accepts bitcoins but many stores still don't accept it. I hope in 2020 it is accepted in all stores including in groceries.

With the current demand trend price can easily surpass $2000 per bitcoin mark quite earlier than 2020 so i think price will be anywhere between 3k to 5k by 2020.

It depend on adoption how many new people would come into this, at the moment it looking so strong and recent growth is showing it will be over $5,000 by 2020, now bitcoin is getting more attention and we can see some bigger market giant are ready to take it as payment processor.

ADOPTION. this cannot stress enough.   Theres only (max) 21 million coins people, less than half the countries some of us live in ;p

My guess by 2020? holy crap i would say 3k for sure. but it depends, all we need (besides consensus, but thats another topic haha), is some services like amazon or ebay to accept  BTC and its on imo.  Dell does, thats pretty dece, newegg, alibiaba, to name a few larger places.

As they say, exciting times gentlemen Cheesy

Thinking mid/long-term, what are your thoughts about Bitcoin's price in 2020?

I think it will be around $2000.
Well, your prediction is very modest I would say. Somebody predict 5000$ and even 10 000$ per 1 BTC. But I think 2000$ is more possible price to bitcoin and more real in such short period of time.

I think same here that 2k value that can be rich maybe nearly event of block halving we can experience above 2k value..
But it is not sure  that the price will hit in that value because it will be still  depends i the adoption of bitcoin even we are just few users of bitcoin we can not achieve to touch in that value..

i strongly believe another 10x rally will happen at some point, perhpas it will be unstable like the last big rally, but it will happen, so next big rally for me will put bitcoin at above 10k, then a big dump for correction, i'm not buying this slowly increase, at some point you need s strong pump to go to another whole new level

At least $2000, but Bitcoin is so unpredictable that it's really difficult to estimate anything. 3 years is a long time. One thing we can be sure is by 2020 we'll know if Bitcoin managed to break through to the masses and became recognized and widely used or not. If the next 3 years won't push us to the mainstream I doubt it will ever happen.

Thinking mid/long-term, what are your thoughts about Bitcoin's price in 2020?

I think it will be around $2000.

I think  $2000 for bitcoin will be on 2018, since the implementation of possible update is in line now.  Segwit is the key for future updates and for mass adoption since LN will enable bitcoin to handle large transactions.  So as long as there is no bad press like network issues, i think $3000 is possible.

its too far to say 2020, because we don't know what will happen in 2020, i think better we make a prediction about what will be bitcoin in 2017 and make prediction for the price but i think it will be around in $1500-$1750.

4000$ .ATH. why? Because in 2020 another halving will occur so bitcoin holders will hold thier btc until the price will reach at 4000$

$100 - $500

I bet some new altcoin that solves some of the problems that bitcoin faces will take over. Hopefully I will be an early adopter of said altcoin.  Grin Grin

2020 is quite some time away from now, so I hope that it will give the price enough time to build itself enough support above $1000 to sustain it for more than just a few weeks.

If I realistically would put a guess on table, then I go for a price between $1000-$1500 as that seems to be a fair price according to me.

Other than that I don't expect it to touch or top the $2000 barrier. Mainly because of the fact that there will be a load of drama we have to go through. It has been like this since the very beginning.

I think it will be around $2000.

wasn't there already another topic about 2020 price?
and also why do you think it will be $2000 we are talking about 3 complete years from now and in the past two years ish price has gone up 3.8X and what makes you think it will only rise to $2000 in the following 3 years considering after $1000 it won't be that hard.

I think it will be more than 3k
Seeing the past it would make sense.

You are easily convinced :p

Nobody knows, that makes this so exiting. Watch a few talks of Andreas Aantonopolous, he looks past borders and current obstacles and makes lots of historical analogies.
