Bitcoin got over $1,000 because of 2 bots, Willy and Markus that were implanted in MTGOX. What you are seeing now is referred to in financial terms as a technical correction. I followed Bitcoin daily chart and it closed under the support, which is a sign for further selling. I will keep on eye on the weekly chart but it doesn't look good so far, at last in my opinion.

We need those bots to start buying again.  Smiley

Anyone who actually believes that the Willy bot was the sole reason for the 3rd or 4th enormous rally in bitcoin doesn't deserve to be taken seriously, let alone listened to.

Hi everyone,

I saw a few predictions for Bitcoin price in 2015. This is one of the things that caught my attention. They predict Bitcoin will reach $89 but I couldn't really understand why:

Also, where do you think Bitcoin is heading? Down the drain or sky high?

Will probably test new low.

I think it is definitely worth noting that the last spike in price coincided with the highest weekly exchange volume in bitcoin history... double the previous record... mainly China.  Over 6 million coins were traded (almost half of the entire coins in circulation) compared to the previous record of just over 3 million in November 2013.  That is extremely bullish.  http://data.bitcoinity.org/markets/volume/5y?c=e&r=week&t=a&volume_unit=btc

That's a great stat and graph - did not realize it was twice as much as we had back during the run-up and bubble last year!  Thanks for sharing!

It's possible and price has broken down below their lower trend line.  The next few weeks will be very telling to the direction the trend wants to take.

Earlier this week they tested the rocket that will soon be taking Bitcoin beyond the moon to Mars.

Lol but next testing will be in 2016. So long way till will ready to go. Bitoin should focus on already proven technology. Soyuz FTW!

The M2 money supply of Angola (59th on a GDP-sorted list of countries) is equivalent to $46.7 billion.

Bitcoin's money supply currently clocks in a little under $5 billion.

It seems clear that if Bitcoin succeeds in the long run, it'll be considerably more globally important than the Angolan Kwanza.

You can do your own risk/reward analysis (and your own analysis of how many people might sit down and do some of these calculations in 2015).

(...and you can make these comparisons between countries' M1, M2, etc, all day long.)

The fact it is in circulation does not mean it won't devalue. Although it is an extreme example but take the Japanese yen. I took a look at the chart and it appears Bitcoin reached lower support of the flag. It will not break below it could rebound from here, not sure how much though. I will be keeping a close eye on it.

Price will be growing up.  That's what is my prediction for 2015.

2015 will be a year of the Bitcoin.  2014 was pretty hard because of few not cool incidents like mtGox.

I feel very bullish for 2015.

Kind regards.

2014 may have been hard on the price, but bitcoin awareness has exploded.
Benefits will be seen in 2015.

The price will start around $350 for the beginning of 2015 and end just over $500 by the end of the year.

Unless the ETF is announced.

What ETF?
