A deep correction may begin and it will generally be below 8,000. And many want it, who did not have time to buy last year at prices below 10,000.
If Bitcoin doesn't break the recent higher low of 12296 then the next move will be a test to the all-time high and altcoins will be rolling down.
there are many predictions and speculations arises in bitcoin price but for me I see a better side of bitcoin last 2017, than the beginning of this new year. But still it is just a start of the year , and lets think positive that it will reach again to $20K before this month of January ends.
The predictions are very easy, and many predicts that btc will grow as much as it can on this year, lastbyesr btc ranges the highest growing cryptocurrency and the fastest growing and influencial crypto that ever exist and made, now many predicts that btc will be doubled and will be just like a real currency that is accepted and known for its great value, and now tv programs, news, and newspapers are being active in btc news, because many predicts that btc will be more succesful.
Bitcoin price is going up and down, but there are time that bitcoim price is rising and rising, i hope bitcoin price is to the moon.
According to my research the price for bitcoins will go down this month and then it will get a pump next month onwards. Bitcoin will reach 40k$ at the end of this year maybe so i think it is the good time to purchase or invest into bitcoins at a good dip as soon as bitcoin goes down. Bitcoins will have a great value in 2019 so if you are thinking of long term investment, you can surely invest into bitcoins at a good dip. Rest depends on the luck factor. 
Normal price of bitcoin is going up and down, but i think time will come bitcoin price will rise ,and bitcoin price ia to the moon.

Well i also believe that it will really rise continueously and it will really getting more popular each day because it is really amazing many people reall amaze on bitcoin advantages and they really wanted to have more bitcoin in preparation of the coming future .If we put basis on the past year we can really see that the bitcoin will always goin up and down the price may fall but it will rise again i think this is the normal.price of bitcoin it is really unstable.

With soaring bitcoin prices quite high in 2017, it seems that in January 2018 bitcoin prices will have a sharp decline, this is only my prediction, because it is difficult to predict the price of bitcoin whose price can rise and fall quite quickly.

Yes it will go up and down again this month. I saw a news message somewhere that the bitcoin price is expected to go up starting jan 15th, as this is the date that the wallstreet hotshots are getting their bonuses of an average of $100K+.
What source it came from? Its good if you'll give the link of the source for that news. Before these Wall Street people are against to bitcoin but there's a sudden change of heart that they are now getting interested to bitcoin and getting in while it's early. it will go up and down in jan?
With the current problems that bitcoin is facing right now, from high miner fees, and longer transaction time alongside the competition from the other cryptocurrencies in the market that have a faster transaction, it is really hard to say that bitcoin is going to be up any time soon, and by up i mean like reach 20k or beyond, but the price is always going to flucuate between 14k and 16k or 17k at most, so until developpers come up with a better solution than forks i don't think bitcoin is going to be the same and grow the same way as it did last year.

I think the price is still stable. $14,000 is just a few high of rising. Well, this 1st to 3rd week of January is not yet the time to explode. I think about March this time the bitcoin price will come too fast to rise and go up. That's my full opinion because as I look at today bitcoin is still in the stage of being stable about $12,000 to $15,000 believe me after this February well, it's the time to celebrate knowing that bitcoin will become higher and higher again and again.
I reckon the price of BTC will going to fluctuates to much because other individual have also learned how to use bitcoin and are gaining every day profit from it, so chances are the possibility of buy and sell is going to happen very often, it will lead the market of BTC to fluctuates every now and then.
It will grow up a little bit in January and will continue to grow up consistently during the year.

Yep, this is realistic, IMHO. The big hype is over, holidays are over... now it's more a normal business time of year again.

Well for me it is really hard to predict bitcoin price normally the peoples prediction is the same it will go up and down or maybe pump and dump because that wwas really normal in bitcoin but the hard thing to predict is when was the right or exact time that tjis was pump and dump happen? However we all have really the right to predict on what we believe to happen in the near future for me i will reffer to my experience.

That is one of the problem. The money invested is divided and it makes hard for bitcoin to go back up again.
