You find the prices of more then just 1 exchanges and the current price is a selective weighted average of volume and price. Getting above 650 so fast did suprise me though. And yes let's hope the price can be maintained in this area (before the bitfinex hack) it was here.

Its not shocking anymore hence people do always speculate on bitcoins price in every year or in future but some speculations are just too good to be true when bitcoin would able to reach that price those thousands bracket on the price seems to unrealistic how much more on some who speculated that it would rose to $1m. lol

I also read those kind of thread which they are speculating too much price on bitcoin which is really insane to consider. It would really need massive adoption in able for bitcoins price would rose up enourmously on the future. For this year my prediction would be only $600-750 price which is already acceptable because as we can see on the current price of bitcoin its only moving gradually.

In most of my comments I wrote that I expect price to be around 1000 dollars before new year. We both agree about it, and for me there is some funny predictions, or to say unrealistic. There will always be pessimistic and optimistic people around.
Little more then two months left until the new year, we don`t need to wait long to see how right we were. We still have good odds for this to happen, and I will not feel bad if we come "just to 900 dollars".

Bitcoin's price can jump from 600's to 1000's in a few days if there is a huge buyer. It can also go 600>400 very fast. It all depends on the news. People first run to buy cash, if they can't do it, they will go for gold or bitcoin. If the WWIII pops up, immigrants will buy every Bitcoin they can.

That's good prediction that in that year bitcoin will be at the range of price it's really big when we are comparing into last year's prices and this prediction is really quite good enough me to believe anyways can you do some proof ? where did you get your source?

It is possible for bitcoin to increase it;s price up to $900 till the end of December. But I think it is safer to say bitcoin at $800 because of the current happening around bitcoin. Not much of positive news that can push bitcoin price and create a bubble, nor a bad press that can pull Bitcoin price down to sub 500.

$5000 to happen this year is indeed beyond insane, but a new ATH this year isn't that realistic either... It would mean that the price needs to go up like 100% while I don't even believe the price will come close to $1000 this year.

Earlier this year, we were expecting price to reach @1000 or more. but it did not happen. So now in just 2 months how can bitcoin price can reach to $5000. I think if it reaches $800, it will be good.

Yes we all expecting this because of the halving that was upcoming but it never really happened, 5000 dollar is just a insane number and will maybe even never be reached honestly.

Yes, no as you can see the price is getting higher and higher, I hope the price soon touches 700$ and hence making people more happy and gaining more trust, because there are still some greedy people who think the price of bitcoins will go below 500$ and waiting for that time to buy. Yes, expecting 5000$ is a bit too optimistic though it might reach that price in coming years for sure.
But, yes even 800$ is less, when we know the year's end is there so people would be buying a lot of bitcoins and hence the price is expected to go up and up only, maybe it could test around $1000 price levels too.

4k is way too far from the current price now and I think it is not possible for this and next year (if nothing huge happens), but I think that 1k target is not far (+38% of the price) even though it is a bit far it is not as far as 4k.

we only can make predict about the price of bitcoin, but the rest is depend on the market, will it be up or get down. if we take a look in last year, the price is suddenly drop into bottom and its on that price for a long time until almost of middle of this year. so, i think better we take our profit first before its go down and we only regret it.

I wonder how can you guarantee bitcoin reaching 1000 USD. I bet you are super rich or holds almost 1/3 of existing bitcoin. Anyway speculation are also accompanied by worries too because as an investor and have an speculation of bitcoin going to 1k USD in the next months and he buy in at 640 USD, we can't deny the fact that there is also a possibility of bitcoin going down to 400 USD. And he already lost some of his investment if that happen.

People have right to wish and believe, I wouldn`t say that bitcoin can`t reach 3 000 $ price. For me that is possible to happen one day. I know what is realistic point of view, but I like optimistic people. Also if we come to 1 k, then next logical step is 1.5 k, then 2. Price will rise until bitcoin find it places in global economy, for now its too early to say anything except that bitcoin is on a good way with a lot of potential to do great things.
I hope we can make to 1 k before new years evening, and then next year will be very interesting for many people who are into bitcoin and for people who still thinking about it, 1 000 $ will be very tempting for many people.
