Bitcoin price has come in a moment where for more than 2 weeks now is sitting in the area of 610 USD +- 10 USD most of the time. Why has the price stopped moving up or down ? Bitcoin is well known for its instability and being very unstable but now things for me are starting to look different. I was reading bitcoin related news in clear and also deep web but could not find anything that can make the price of Bitcoin go up or down.

Any ideas why the price is stuck for more than 2 weeks now ?
Price of the bitcoin is always stuck around the 600 dollar dont know why you all think that is going to change that wont change because the bitcoin is not getting better if you think that would happen.

We can say price is stable. This is what I call stable price, I remember there was days where difference between high and low was more then 20 dollars.
TODAY'S OPEN $608.53
TODAY'S HIGH $608.72
TODAY'S LOW  $606.31
This is a good thing for bitcoin economy, from time to time bitcoin need to show its stable and strong, that will attract more people to invest in it, and people will have more trust to put their money in this new currency.

We need more time to call it stable. It is just a few weeks that the price is dangling around this mark. If we see this for at least 1 month more it will show we have find a steady and stable price. But knowing bitcoin, this may be very hard to say the least.

I agree with you, we cannot say that the price is stable right atm. If it stays this way for more 2 weeks we can say that but not for now. The price will rise soon enough...

I don't think Satoshi has left a message saying something like, "Bitcoin will move continuously up and down so if it doesn't do that, something might be wrong." In a market, if there's no significant, then the amount of money people putting in and getting out are almost the same. The reason why would there be an inflation in the first place would be because somebody has put a lot money in the market and the reason why would there be a deflation is the opposite.

In the word  market price  which means theres a relation between buyers and sellers and   we should expect theres a movement. As you said  satoshi didnt even left a message  that it would  go up or down. It  always depends  on people  who bought and  who sell. Inflation and deflation is a normal thing on bitcoin, as we saw on the stable price maybe theres no people who bought and who sell.

this is the first time i see someone complaining about the price being stable and complaining about it this soon.

usually people start complaining after a month of stable price with little movement not after 10 days!

and this is all normal and good for bitcoin to reach a more stable price and stop being so volatile so that we can start thinking about it as a currency that we can use to buy stuff instead of just hodling it.

The price right now of bitcoin is not stuck in this level and i think we are just seen slow movement of price because we are just few trader in trading site.. bitcoin is unpredictable sooner the price can be increase again more..

It has nothing to do with there being just a few traders online. These people are constantly ready to jump into action as soon as the market starts moving. It's that there is nothing for people to focus on right now that causes the price to remain at current levels for a while. People were looking up to the block halving not long ago, but right now there is nothing to look up to for people.

It's consolidating, that's all. Probably shoot up pretty soon.

It could also go the other way. If you look at the daily chart you could see that more clearly. I still stand by my statement that before Bitcoin can start moving up again, it has to go down first. Maybe I made a mistake by saying that it will stay at under $600 for a long while, then move down to the lower $500's before moving up but taking the amounts aside, I still believe that it has to go down a bit before going up.

Right now there is now buying going on, why? Because it is a seller's market. The sellers have to sell everything, move the price down and then that becomes a buyers market because many could get in at a bargain. As the buying increases, so do the price of Bitcoin.

I don't think we are going down anymore. If you look at the charts from the bottom at 200 till now and draw some lines to this top, you can clearly see that we are still in an uptrend, touching the bottom line almost, which may even indicate that there is a price rise coming soon.

Bitcoin has gone down enough from the recent highs and it has already dipped low enough.

the volume is an important part of the market and it is still pretty high which shows even in this rather stuck price there is still a lot of trades happening and people are accumulating bitcoin.

besides 2 weeks is nothing for an stable price. starting from last year these periods of stability are happening more and more often and they are a lot longer than 2 weeks. and there is always a rise afterwards if nothing bad like another finex hack happens!

September is the end of Q3 for the 2016 calendar year, so it maybe that people are focusing on other projects at the moment.

Have a look too at when various parts of the world have their end of tax years as well as companies reporting for dividends and the like.

When it's all said and done, isn't it a great thing that BitCoin can hover about $ 600 USD for not just days, but weeks on end without a sudden panic sell or buy through stealth?

The movement (or the lack thereof) is another of bitcoin's traits. It can't be expected to just go up or go down without any apparent reason. Right now, with the price idling at the $600 levels, I think it is still a good time to buy because of the potential price increase in the last few months of 2016.

The price isn't stuck, it's just that the market has decided it doesn't want to do anything for a while and it'll likely change sometime in the future. All you have to do is wait for the traders to start getting antsy in one way or another, and they'll start making the value more volatile pretty quickly.

we can observe that the price of bitcoin is really remain stable for most of the time, and i think it is too good and is in favour of bitcoin, the other reason is that we can see that the price of bitcoin gone up about 40 points in previous days so now we can expect a little correction so the price is stuck to one place or just lower down a little.

The price will fluctuate once we get closer to Christmas time i.e December. There will be more people trying to sell their coins for fiat than those willing to purchase bitcoins.

It is holding in a tight range right now. I would like to see more movement, but having stability is probably good for those that are worried about volatility.

Actually i'm like it when the price of bitcoin have a stable price, so we don't need to worry about the price of bitcoin going decrease or not. The price is stable more than 2 weeks because, there is nothing happen on bitcoin, like gossip/issue. So it's make the bitcoins price stable
