$4000 is retarded. The price will be ~$1000 max.

I think you got the maths a little bit wrong there. Bitcoin is definitely not going to reach $4000 after halving. It hasn't even reached $1000 yet. Your hopes are too high.

I'm thinking the same thing, this is never gonna happen in my eyes its way too high, I even consider this as unrealistic to be honest.
Its just way too much for the bitcoin, the max of the halving is at 2k in my eyes.

2k is a sick amount if you ask me then it will be another all time high if it actually reach 2k. Currently the top price for bitcoin is around $1200 so thats an extra $800 and with alot more supply so higher capitalization. It wont be that huge though, we are almost at peak now and it wont even get to $1000

Previous Bitcoin "bubbles" went way above the historic all-time high, so it is possible the pattern(s) will repeat.
Since BTC is "a few years older now" a more mature market might not get totally crazy, so ~$1,800 would be pretty good.

Way back in time people are still stupid to notice the bubble so I doubt it will be happening again. If people are dumb enough then we will see another history to happen again . Well atleast I will finally be able to feel $1200 which I always dreamed about though or I could be another victim of the 'bubble'

I think some weeks ago no one could predict that bitcoin price will reach 700$ in about 3 weeks so 4000$ will not be unreal but maybe with little probability.

Yeah and even if it reaches to $1k at halving, we cannot expect $4k price in this year, as its really too high to expect and bitcoin will take long time to reach there.
It is obvious because after halving, people will surely sell to profit and for what patience they gave.
well yeah, i guess you are right, people will want to make as much money out of bitcoins as possible in order to benefit a lot

though i hope that the dump wont be that high and people will not lose interest in it soon, we will see 4k price in like 5 years

Bitcoin surely has a potential to achieve that price but not sure when it can achieve it, as now we are successfully moving towards achieving $1k but $4k still long way to go.

4000 would realy be a great jump. I think this sum is a to much in a short term and it's not very realistic and long term is hard to tell how the situation will develope. 1000 is much more likely.

That's probably too high for now. Maybe in a few years it could get that high. I think we will see minimal gain over what we have gotten already this year and maybe a pull back soon.

I think so as well. I think $4000 could be realistic in the long term, but definitely not in such a short period of time. We need time for anything to grow from a small thing to a big thing.

But absolutely, in the long term it WILL happen.
We are all hoping that the value of Bitcoin is going to rise that fast but you have to know that Bitcoin was already stable for a long time so it will now start really slowly if it is going to rise so that is nice.
I think that the value will reach in the end of the year about some $700 and that is all so we have to wait a longer time if we want to earn some more profit with Bitcoin.

I have read an article that starting 2017 bitcoin price will go up to 4000 $. Though I am not sure about it I am saving some of my bitcoins in my wallet in preparation for that day. I hope it will come true so I can pay all of my debts. If that happens I am one of the happiest person online.
Which article? I might see if theres a supporting claim with article and check if its somehow achievable. Well if there's a chance, Im glad to buy 1 coin which I think I can hold til 2017 to profit 4x higher than the current price.

It doesn't even come up in my mind to think about $1000 prices right now, let alone $4000!! $4000 is a target for after the year 2020 and definitely not before it.

Check the value of bitcoins everyday even last month, I think all of us will feel that Bitcoin price will reach $4000 very soon.It will happen before 2020.

Yes, bitcoin will definitely come at $4000, but not in this time, may be after 5 years, bitcoin=$4000.
But it is feeling very good but need patient and also need some time to come at this price. But not right now and it is impossible that after the halving bitcoin would be come at $4000. So far as i know after the halving, bitcoin suddenly come down, and that is a good time to buy the bitcoins.

Never say never!
I think it's possible. To me after halving doesn't mean it will happen this year.
But until next halving in 2020 there is enough time and a lot of things can happen.
And in the long run this price is definitely a realistic goal.
Well, you're right. we will never be able to guess the price increase bitcoin, because it sometimes exceeds our expectations. perhaps in the years to come bitcoin prices will further increase and reached a price of $ 4,000
\
I know that people want this to be happen and so do I but I do not think that the price will be this high after the halving. I think that the chance of this happening will be bigger in 2017 or 2018.

Yeah and we can expect the price of $1k at the time of halving or after halving as that seems to be achievable and realistic now but $4k is not possible to achieve so soon.

In previous halving price moved $10 to $1000 then dropped to $200 & steady for a long time
So, growth = $10 X 20 = $200

Simple calculation

After this halving price will go $200 X 20 = $4000 ?

 Huh Huh Huh Huh

No, not $4000!
$3,496.97 is a much more realistic target.   Grin

As long as we're all being realistic now. Time for me to hop out of bed, jump in my Bugatti and drive it to my shiny pink unicorn and ride off into the sunrise.
