Bitcoin is intended for those people who understand and value it, but they are also free not to use it since its all about freedom when it comes to bitcoin. I guess even if the government continue to ban bitcoin, there's no stopping it anymore as more people now are already aware about crypto particularly with bitcoin and many are already taking their advantage to invest in it and some are even using it already in countries where bitcoin is used as a means of payment. The world is already heading into crypto, but some are still denial about it.
I don’t think that things are going to be like the OP has said it. It’s not going to be like where everybody in the world are crazy about Bitcoin just because they are seeing their friends are making use of it, or maybe they just like it and they voluntarily decided to start making use of it. No, it’s not going to be that way.

Yes, for sure there would be lots of people who would develop interest and there will also be those who will make use of it because they see their friends making use of it. But, let’s not forget that not everyone can really develop interest just like that.

Although I believe that indeed this time would come, that Bitcoin won't anymore be a big deal because it becomes a normal alternative currency, I don't think the whales and sharks will be gone by that time. Don't expect that there will be sophisticated systems to be put in place to avoid this. Bitcoin is all about freedom. There may be systems outside the Bitcoin protocol, but in Bitcoin itself, everybody will definitely remain 100% free including how much Bitcoin they want to buy or hoard.
I never even felt that it was such a big deal. regarding the popes I agree with what you say because this in my opinion depends on how your finances are. there is no prohibition here we are free to do whatever we want.
when I have a lot of money I also want to do like them because I can afford it but indeed for now when we can't be them, at least we have to have it even if it's a little.
it doesn't matter whether these whales hoard or not because that's their right and we don't have the authority to regulate it

Your story reminds me of my grandmother, before she died, she told me.
The story is this:
One day, you will see that in this world there are no more poor people, everyone in this world is rich, money is in their bodies, when they take it, it is always there.

From that story, remembering me with what you said, is this the moment in which the era that my grandmother told me is taking place and will happen, if so Bitcoin/crypto is the main factor that makes people in this world rich, maybe there is a point where at this time Bitcoin is the center of attention of all circles, no exception as you say.

If that's the case, I hope that in the future Bitcoin/crypto and society will be better than today.

Soon Bitcoin would not be news or in the news as much as it is today. No, it will not be banned but rather there's it would have garnered so much support and acceptance worldwide.
I'm sure most of us could easily think of various other stuff that are accepted worldwide and at the same time, still being mentioned on the news regularly [the same would apply to BTCitcoin in the future].

No one will care about whales and sharks manipulating the market prices because there will be sophisticated systems put in place that serve as buffers.
I don't think it's necessarily going to be something that would act as a buffer, but instead, it'd be the normal effect once everything is mined [at some point in 2140].

"Forced" not in the literal sense of the word but of course if my mates are getting it, I have to get it too. If with a tap of my phone I can make quick payments as opposed to cash or other medium, then I have to get it too.
I think that falls more under the voluntary basis, as opposed to the so-called forced actions.

This reminds me of the President of  El Salvador's prediction about more countries to legalize Bitcoin though I don't if he's already in talk with the countries President or not but I believe all his statements and the OP are words of optimism. Meanwhile, we also need to be realistic though Bitcoin will gain more awareness, integration, and support from the government but not as much as we think.
Who will listen to him? other president has their own stand and if there is some president that they will going to listen then that would be the superpower countries stand towards bitcoin and not just a low economy country like EL Salvador .

we all be waiting about that to happen , making crypto as a normal currency and not be talked but instead to be used and circulate .

Bitcoin is Most valuable in in the crypto market.Last 2-3 Years Bitcoin price huge increase and 2021 Bitcoin price more increase.Bitcoin Price break the all record price. Now bitcoin price little dip but i still believe bitcoin price will be more increase in 2022.So Im suggested to You,Buy now more bitcoin and hold long time, i hope you will get profit from it.

I've been investing in Bitcoin for about 5 years, so I really understand how Bitcoin works. So the price drop that is happening now,
doesn't make me doubt one bit about the future of Bitcoin. Especially with Bitcoin's performance in 2021, which, as you said, continues
to break new records. This makes me even more optimistic that Bitcoin will achieve much better results this year. So I'm currently trying
to collect as much Bitcoin as I can, according to my financial capabilities. Because I don't want to regret, when Bitcoin reaches new ATH
I don't have much Bitcoin. So don't waste this opportunity now to buy Bitcoin, because now the price of Bitcoin has dropped quite low.
So we can all make a pretty big profit if this year Bitcoin reaches new ATH.

One thing is right, at one point crypto won't be volatile as it is now. I mean, the reality is that this type of chaotic behavior can only spell downfall for crypto and stabilization is the only way to stay up float. Mass adoption will demand it as it does with everything else. However, when I say mass adoption, I just can't get behind the notion that it will be the end all be all and that everyone will become a crypto fanatic with a crypto or death mentality. I think the truth will lay somewhere far less extreme and more akin to our current economic situation, but with just one more option thrown in the mix.

currently we can say that we are in mass adoption, but we have a big problem: the lack of clear laws about bitcoin make that hundreds of banks and countries still create barriers in many things related to cryptocurrencies, I'm talking about exchanges that still have countries that don't accept or ask for a license knowing that the local law is very demanding which prevents anyone from creating exchange in these countries, casinos related to cryptocurrencies have problems in those countries, stores still do not accept cryptocurrencies, there are countries where they prohibit bitcoin ATM... at last the good laws about bitcoin are still a mirage. but the day we have it all then we will be 100% centralized and dependent on government laws, but at the same time the scammers will not have impunity as they have currently
Dont expect for regulation or something in related or connected with this stuff because we wont really be heading there yet government would most likely on having negative impressions with bitcoin in the end of the day. There might be some places who do made out opposite which is good to look at but we couldnt really avoid the fact that most of them are against with it.
we do need adoption and recognition and let just the community would decide on how things should really proceed on.As long there would be demand and support on Bitcoin itself
Then its really hard to believe that it would die or been replaced anytime soon.

I thought I can see a different prophecy here, but it's just the same as others have seen Bitcoin throughout the years. It will be adopted around the world, it might not be the world currency, but majority of the people are going to known BTC and everyone wanted to get a piece of it and that makes us a early adopter and I will say that we have the privilege to known it and have it for many years. Although it won't be very easy, but still in the next 10 years or so, bitcoin will adoption will grow bigger.

Well I think that anyone who has writing skills, knowledge and some study about what bitcoin means would have been enough to place in the OP: all (*)   Smiley

Where the * means subject to change without notice.

I think that all of us who write on this bitcoin discussion board do it with the heart or the good vibes, without a doubt we wanted something like that but the reason brings us closer to the true discussion and in that sense the true discussion is the one that will lead us to the future good for Bitcoin.

I think the road is long and thorny, that is, nothing easy... but the simple fact that bitcoin in its short existence it has managed to get, legal tender, valuable asset, million-dollar institutional investments and that it is an option of value for anyone, etc. it is not prophecy, it is a fact.

I can only imagine everyone using bitcoin in a scenario where a central authority forces or heavily endorses its usage. For now it won't happen because many of those authorities have a negative stance regards bitcoin, what means people under their influence range aren't going to adopt the digital currency. I believe the majority of the population on this planet are composed by sheep who can't think or decide by themselves, while bitcoin adopters represent a tiny percentage who go against the tide, so we can't really measure the whole situation in order to make a prediction taking only bitcoin enthusiasts as example.

There is no prophecy imo, it is just a better store-of-value. As an evolutive species we're very likely to adopt a superior tool to store our wealth and that's Bitcoin. It doesn't need to be more complicated than this. We are already seeing:
  • hedge and pension funds allocating percentages there
  • countries adopting it as legal tender (i.e. El Salvador)
  • halving is approaching Wink

A satoshi for every imam and rabbi would probably be pretty big, but not as big as a satoshi for every Budhhist monk, heh.

But all irony aside, ownership (which again is another debate since today most "owners" actually are only in possession of an app that tells them they have it but don't know how to or cannot actually interact with the private keys that control those coins) isn't necessarily an equation of adoption.

No one will care about whales and sharks manipulating the market prices because there will be sophisticated systems put in place that serve as buffers.  It’s going to be like having a dollar or your local currency. Everyone will have it no matter how little.

Can you elaborate more on this?
Do you have any idea about such "sophisticated system" that will remove all volatility and manipulation on the markets and make Bitcoin/cryptocurrency prices stable? Grin
Let me remind you that price volatility is what makes Bitcoin and altcoins so desirable for the traders and investors.Bitcoin/altcoins having zero volatility would be as boring as fiat money and all the traders would just run away from the crypto markets, creating big problems with market liquidity.
I don't believe that Bitcoin will ever become the "one and only" global currency. There's no need for that.
There will be periods, when Bitcoin is trending and periods when almost nobody cares about BTC.
There will be ups and downs, but I don't expect total domination of Bitcoin.

We are still incredibly far from Bitcoin being a popular store of value among the general population. Even gold is almost never used for that purpose. People who live in countries with weak national currencies, which is majority of the world, prefer to storing at least some of their savings in the US dollar and Bitcoin is viewed by them as simply too risky.

New technologies sometimes take a while to be adopted (the Internet is a good example) but eventually can become mainstream. There's a chance that the same will happen to Bitcoin, and that adoption rates will skyrocket. However, given that Bitcoin offers way fewer use cases than something like the Internet or a mobile phone, I don't think it'll ever reach mass adoption (in the sense of at least a third of the population actually using it, for instance). But it doesn't mean it won't grow and become widely popular in some circles. I also don't think that people will be forced to adopt Bitcoin (that it'll become such a necessity that one would need to learn about it, if that's what you meant by 'forced').
