As of now, it will never happen, here in my country bitcoin
still not yet that well known. No bitcoin atm yet, need to
introduce so people could understand what is bitcoin.
Thus, bitcoin could not replace the fiat.

I think bitcoin need to introduce it first globally and it would be hard especially for those countries that are not rich in technologies. In my country too some of the remote places here doesn't have internet since they are not yet fully develop and I think it would take years or decades before they will be develop.. so that would be one of the hindrances bitcoin for replacing money.

Remember one thing that bitcoin hasnt anymore those 21 milion coins, several coins has been lost into the last years, besides that to bitcoin get near the total ammount of money over the world, it would require bitcoin worth how much something like 40000 dollars for 1 bitcoin?
I think the number of bitcoin is not reduced, halving only reduces the block, not the amount on bitcoin, #imo
I think however high the price of bitcoin, it will not be able to beat fiat

As flawed as the fiat is, bitcoin cannot replace what it does right now. Unless governments all over adopts bitcoin, which is highly unlikely to happen. And if by a small chance that happens, bitcoin as we know it would be a totally different thing.

Exactly, and the first thing would happen if it is adopted by a government would be the control, it is currently not in control of any authority and all of us are anonymous, but if the government of a country adopts it they would probably like to have control on the transactions or things the people doing in the country.
Yeah you're right. It may happen in the future, although i think not in the near future. And there would be a lot of changes so that governments and powerful people can manipulate it. And people are already so used to using fiat i don't think it would be easy to make them believe in btc
Well, if that's how positive you are then I would respect that. However, that would be hard to see it will happen. It's like betting the 99% of people by 1%. What I am talking is, we are just a small community where users are only estimated to be 1% of the total population, and how can be beat the 99% and replace them?
How can a currency limited only to 21,000,000 be allowed to replace Fiat Money? Think of what will happen, think of the inequality, and how it is advantageous to people who already are hoarding Bitcoins be. Also we can't rely on only Satoshis for a living we all need at least one whole of it. I am confident that the government even the future won't even think using Bitcoin as the main money of the world or even any country.

lol you forgot the 8 degits after the decimal points.  If you consider that 8 digits then that will be 100M x 21M now tell me if it is still small?  The creator of bitcoin is really an intelligent being, he make 8 digits after the decimal to make up for the 21m limit of bitcoin.  Bitcoin might be limited but satoshi is plenty for all of us.

Let us not make this an argument because this is senseless argument for matured people, I do not even know why this thread was created,, LOL.. Anyway, although the answer looks very obvious but somehow we are getting good points here to realize that bitcoin will never replace money.

That's the big problem as seems bitcoin cannot be controlled since we are here in the crypto world which most of the  transactions are anonymous, even the business here are anonymous and when you will let the government to take control, the decentralize thing of bitcoin will be gone which is impossible.

Indeed mate. Bitcoin wilk stay what it is for now because it cannot replace fiat. Bitcoin should be introduce globally and all countries should agree to this. Remember that all countries will have different thoughts and insights about bitcoin and it will be a long process.

The take over of bitcoin over the fiat money will never happen.  I think the highest position of bitcoin will be the alternative for fiat currency.  Government will never allow anything that is not controlled or centralized.  So the possibility of bitcoin to replace every nations money is next to impossible in my opinion.
im new her but bitcoinis the standard crypto currency that we use in daily basis in the cyber or even in the real world but im dont think if bitcoin replace money or real world money.
First of, welcome to the community, and I hope you have a wonderful stay here (hope you got money)..

Actually, what you are saying is right, even if we can use bitcoin in a daily basis with our online transaction we cannot deny the fact that it can never replace money(fiat) which was designed by the government to be the legal tender. Let's just be happy of what bitcoin has and will achieve..

Bitcoin cant replaced  fiat anytime  soon  because  bitcoins is  not legalized  by the government  and some of them  do ban it. You are right no matter  how we used  bitcoin on our online transactions  but still  fiat would still remain and  cant be replaced  by any means. Bitcoin would  only serve as  a side currency hence its  a digital currency after all.

Right, even if bitcoin is very popular. It can't replace fiat because it is not that well established not like fiat which we use for a long time.

Maybe most of us will prefér bitcoin but we will not set aside the fiat. I think in the future, we will use both fiat and bitcoin as our mode of payment in our transactions.

Bitcoin never replace fiat. The government will not allow it. It is not profitable.
Bitcoin is very profitable. Take the people in this place as an example, if it's not because of bitcoin, we will all be in reddit, instagram, twitter, and facebook. Just spending time there talking to people who would never care about us. We will spend tons of time on social media sites looking for validation from other people and all those social stuffs that aren't worth it of our time.

There can still be some point of views that the government can discover that would make them think that bitcoin is actually good their country's economy. But anyway, the government cannot control the growth of bitcoin day by day. If their people starts to use bitcoin, they can't just arrest them one by one.

I have worked for or procured bitcoin bitcoin to more coins were, in the final result of all would be invested in gold. I think that the precious metal has a constant value than what is virtual.
I think this is not about digital or metal, but is it bitcoin can replace fiat? I think you're right that the government would never allow foreign currency to enter and replace
Yeah right government will not allow the currency other than the currency of the country to go in and replace it. Because to be a money must have a form that can be used directly, whereas bitcoin has no form. So it is not possible to bitcoin can replace money and become currency.
Are you serious with what you have said "because bitcoin is not profitable"? Because even if so it is not the main reason for the government to disallow Bitcoin to be the main currency.  Well for me the Government won't allow something foreign/virtual to be circulated or recognized even as a kind of 2nd currency as it would be a hard task taxing it.

In my country, too, the government will not allow that Bitcoin has taken a dominant position. He will be suppressed by the laws and taxes. The government will not allow the replacement of Fiat on cryptocurrency
