Bis the parent of all altcoins so if it is bitcoin rise then the altcoins price also rises, but if it drops then the altcoins price also drops, we must be happy because the market continues to improve for a few days so it becomes a strong indication that this year will be the same as last year.
This is pointed out if the price of crypto currency is not determined by bitcoin or not influenced by the bitcoin price movement. Recently a lot of good information comes to bitcoin, so it gives a big effect up to $ 8300 and looks still going to increase. But strangely, if bitcoin prices rise, most altcoin undergoing cleansing will experience slowly, in contrast to altcoin that can rise up to 30% even though bitcoin prices are experiencing a major crash.

They didn't recover much, they are pretty much on the same level or even lower than they were when Bitcoin was in 6k range. And if you take their BTC price, it has significantly dropped. This is very contrasting with last year's behavior when their BTC price remained the same or even increased, so when BTC was going up, alts were going up too, sometimes even at faster rates.
What's happening now might be a sign of a coming altcoin bubble burst, that was theorized by many experts.

Yes, bitcoin is now moving upward, slowly but surly it will move more further, from $6k - $8k is a good sign of a healthy recovery, but this is vice-versa on the altcoin market, others are at the same price but others are digging, in fact more of the leading altcoins are still in the dip, i think its because some investors are start moving/switching to bitcoin so thats altcoin price are still at that current dip. But i am sure that if this bitcoin continued to rise, altcoins will follows onto it.
One reason I can think of is people are cashing in their alts after a long wait for BTC to make it's move. The alts fall maybe temporary and they should soon catch up once the confusion settles in.

Not usually happen on altcoin and bitcoin, when bitcoin raised to higher price altcoin will follow at higher price, but now bitcoin was raised and have higher price but altcoin still lower price. when bitcoin at lower price altcoin on lower price. last three days bitcoin was raised to higher price but altcoin still on lower.
the other altcoin price is fall, this is very normal. another altcoin need time to adapt with the new price of cryptocurrencies, and i think that in this time we should buy more coin and invest on altcoin and get some profit from holding the altcoin,
If you can handle the risk buying right now is very good strategy, knowing which alts that have a good potentials to pumped up after bitcoin is very needed, most of the time after the sudden dumped bounce back brings a good profits, it's just needed to be well observed and good understanding how certain market will recover after.

It will remain like that till BTC stable then altcoins will now take speed. People are moving away there fund from Altcoins to BTC, will come back later to altcoin after gaining the profit in BTC
Yeah, I think the rise and fall of bitcoin have it impact in other crypto currency, some might rise along with it or the other way around, depends on the situation.

Its normal that if btc is up, altcoins are down. Because of BTC lately is down now altcoins need to adapt for new price of btc in the market or match tha price the pricing btc in the market.
I do not like the rise of Bitcoin alone and the drop price of other big altcoins but i think will accompany bitcoin after a while. Bitcoin cann't rise alone forever.
it seems to be only temporary, because in reality in a pair of mutual matching, if one of the currency is experiencing a weakening of one of them will experience strengthening, that's for sure.

altcoins have been falling whenever bitcoin price went up in the past also. the problem is you are missing the whole history, you just saw last year where prices of altcoins went up after bitcoin rise stopped each step of the way up to $20k so you think they are depending on bitcoin and rise with it! but the fact is they only rise when bitcoin is stable, other times they are going down.

Well, this is a good chance for those who have a bitcoin on their wallet, but sad for those who have not yet sell their altcoin because they are not yet sell their altcoin because of its price is very low. we need to wait until the price of the altcoin increase too. i hope this will not too long again.
It is good , lets follow the hype to get more profit. But I guess the price will become stable in certain price fir a while then altcoin price will rise. Especially ETH, or bitcoin price will fall after touch high levels of price, cryptocurrency market is always like that.

I really think it is a good thing in a longer term when all the coins are independent so they will grow more freely by their own ways.
But we are not there yet, altcoin may be slow to keep up these days but they will follow bitcoin soon.

it is true but i can not anymore altcoin will also chase bitcoin on the way up when bitcoin prices start pausing and at that moment altcoin start to travel, then be patient.
