They aren't always a scam, it's just that a lot of them are scams. The community doesn't do enough due diligence. This leads to overfunding and people getting burned.

What if they don't get listed on exchanges? They will be worthless forever.

there is nothing you couldn't get listed on some exchange, especially if it smells of ethereum. exchange operators ain't exactly the guardians of crypto. they don't give a shit as long as you can move the shitcoin around.

Agreed and i got into it with the guys who used to run Cryptsy over that starting in mid-2013.
Their response ?

"User Demand" over & over like a broken record.

And if a coin was provably bad they would have a retort for that too..
Which is "they bring in new users"

Centralized exchanges are pyramid scheme operators.. who run a business for profit.

ICO's seem to have gained a lot of popularity these days. I find it hard to believe it will stop here.
With the amount of new projects coming up, it must surely take some of the attention off of bitcoin. Which can be both a good or bad thing.
But most turn to dirt more often then they succeed it seems. Undecided
I am hard pressed to think of ICO's otherwise now. Embarrassed

My question is when will the new Ethereum ICO start ups be listed in the exchanges? They will be the first ones to dump if bitcoin continues to rise. Also the start ups themselves can dump the ETH they are holding now to take advantage of the move.

What if they don't get listed on exchanges? They will be worthless forever.

People should always think about what their ICO-Shitcoins would be worth without poloniex  Grin

If they do not get listed in the exchanges then that will be a big problem for those people who invested in those ICO as an exit scheme. I have a theory that the millions invested in Iconomi and Firstblood ICO are not really from the community. It might be from the original insiders and whales that do not want to dump straight ETH in the market to avoid a crash. They are treating these new Ethereum based ICO tokens like derivatives.

The words ETH and Ethereum make me fucking sick every time i hear 'em.
I wish they would just go the fuck away so i don't have to hear that crap anymore.
I use to think the same thing with Ripple but once i saw the early 2016 rise manipulation pump of ETH ...
i knew damn well i'd be hearing it for a long time to come.. just like "Doge"

You all loiter around spewing moronic bullshit about any stupid ass scammy scheme.
If it's not one fucking gay ass heap of scammy fucking bullshit it's another.
It makes me wanna punch Crypto in the fucking face and say wake up scammy dipshit retard brats.

But you don't.. you don't smarten up you simply roll out Scheme #7,102 and keep on scammin'

It's about money.. REAL money.. FIAT.
And the Bitcoin that gets you the FIAT.

So i expect little to change overall.

Why ?

Because the game is predictable and your strings are easily pulled.
You are all fucking greedy little puppets.. and the puppet masters know this well.
And once all these dregs of the world get a taste of the money they ain't leaving.

Baby Raping beat an old lady for her pension check give you cancer molest your little sister coin ICO will be a big hit and you will all tout the "Bright Future" of it as you shill it up like shameless little pieces of shit.

I hope there is mass arrests and see 90% of you in jail.
Fuck you and suffer when you get burned assholes.

All you guys do is push ANOTHER scheme then IGNORE 100% any 2nd thoughts to it all.
You all plow on with MORE scammy ass retarded bloody bullshit facades then 'act" as though it's legit by default.
As though we should not even doubt this moronic crap.

I am skeptical about BTC going anywhere price wise with out one thing.. ADOPTION.
Or.. if it was added as a stock on the US Stock Exchanges.

Bottom line is BTC is tied to Ransomware and all the Altcoin bullshit.
You all do not get to pretend there is no link to shitcoins.
It's there whether you like it or not, or if the smell of shitcoins makes you want to puke.
It's called REALITY.

You are all insufferable exhausting stubborn spammy idiots who plow on relentlessly.
You seem to think that coin 'ICO' for profit #4,211 is legit and that it can be separate that the other 7,000 coins.. or Bitcoin.

WRONG.

The delusion is here.. the world does not suffer from it.. its a Bitcointalk thing.
This scam web web site is like a Pyramid scheme where the hoards pile in once they have a "turd in the punch bowl" ..then you remove the FUD'er or ignore out / bump him away and then keep passing out more Kool-Aid.

Someone needs to hit delete on the ANN section..

If the price of Bitcoin has a sudden increase that largely surpasses the all time high then the chances of them dumping ETH for BTC is real slim lol nobody would want to purchase that thing.

Even if what you say is true they will still need to sell ETH for BTC. How will the fund their start up operation if they keep holding ETH?
Their need for putting a more capital from their pouch, caused by they've hold the fund into the eth form, and if they're not having an another fund for that, for obliged they must selling their ETH not cares about how many will lose from that. but I think this good moment just to be a short could just keep ETH in our pouch will better

I believe in future we will have fewer alts, say maybe ten strong alts and of course bitcoin still standing. The others will have fallen away.

Bro tip: Bitcoin The US dollar could be very close to ATH breakout if you study the charts and doomy global financial news. All the ICO/Scammy coin FOREX speculators seem to be getting worried about missing the BTC dollar boat and are liquidating. I suspect that as Bitcoin the dollar keeps pushing higher we will see these shart coins foreign currencies continuously seeking a new support level. There are several older alts currencies that seem to be holding their ground as this occurs though and in particular, LTC the Colombian Peso.

What did you expect? Altcoins was made for users to gamble their Bitcoin...it was never meant to be a cryptocurrency that will replace Bitcoin.

You have the chance to make money using the easy and slow method, Altcoin could make you money or not.

If/when there is a virtual currency that replaces Bitcoin the people will automatically realize it.

I can somewhat agree with OP's words. I've been watching and analyzing the Btc graphs closely for quite some time now. I've also come to the conclusion that a spike in Btc's price might indeed appear very soon. Since events going on lately like with monero, I think there will be investors turning back to btc. Clearly when it's broken $620 level

Well seeing as how most of the altcoins shouldn't exist in the first place, I'd tend to agree with you.  The problem is that in the short term, anything could happen.  In the long term, the altcoins are pretty much dead meat.  In my opinion.  But bitcoin will survive this and we'll probably see that ATH broken within a year.  My prediction is as good as anyone else's.  lol
