That's messed up. Millions of money are involved and it's a gang, so I think they are used to it when it comes to harming other people. So I think when it comes to killing another human being they will have no sympathy. Greed can control just about anyone as long as large sum of money is involve.

Although I won't get involve in this kind of situation ever because this is criminals' affair, it's still scary to think that this type of thing is happening. This is the reason why it's important to hide that you are involve in cryptocurrency because who knows who you might meet.

damn, wtf. when it comes to money, most peoples haven't their emotions under control. sure, the fraudster deserved it in any way, but on the other hand they have could do it in another way to bring him the punishment he deserves (not in this way, by law) Roll Eyes

No amount of money is ever worth killing someone over.

I think you would be less interested in this news if we just remove 'Bitcoin' from the title, like:
Scammer caught tortured and killed.
Every day, a lot of people, who scammed others are caught, and punished somehow...
If the scammer is not scamming with bitcoin, but any other kind of money, valuable things, etc... it's possible that he/she would get the same punishment from those who were scammed...
That's life, if someone starts to scam he/she should think about the possible consequences... maybe he was expecting some years in jail and after to spend the money happily somewhere on an exotic place...
well they tortured him for a key reveal.  Kind of only can be a btc story.

People can get tortured for anything worth money, doesn't matter if it is bitcoin.

The guy probably didn't even have the money.  Don't think anyone in their right mind would refuse to give up money if it meant the difference between life and death.

I am glad they were all arrested but he was very greedy!
You can't steal from those you steal with and go free, à criminal will know when another criminal wants to scam him. Glad karma caught up with all of them.
Money can be intoxicating at times. $63 million is quite a huge money.
My question is, now that he is dead without disclosing the logins details, how will the funds be recovered? Guess its lost forever.

Well, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

Not condoning killing anyone for whatever reason, but you have to be pretty stupid to let yourself get into a situation like that.
Like, if you pull off a heist like that, why even stick around and keep having contact with the people you've scammed?

Take the first plane out of India and start a new life somewhere else... Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Wow, it shows that Indians really participating in bitcoin activities for their citizens to have gotten up to $63 million dollars, it is unfortunate for the dead person, and these are some of the reasons why Indian government never want to support bitcoin because of all these bad people, and I hope this would not be another setback anyway from the court case that they have been on.

It is good that they were apprehended anyway, but the one that is dead is already dead and I hope that the family knows the details to the bitcoin wallet otherwise, that 63 million dollars is gone forever. There is need for government to regulate the cryptocurrency, if there is regulation, all these scam activities will be minimized a little bit, at least it will scare them having in mind that the government eye is on anyone that will use it for crime.

i have another point of view, not sure about you guys....

1) 63 million is not a small amount, you can't say what you would do because you are not in their position with their thoughts. it's like... you never been in a situation and you don't know how to react, it's not the same on how to think.
2) it was not killing attempt, it was torture to get the money. They surpassed the torture because the scammer was not giving up.
3) killing will not bring the money back, but they can kill or torture to his love ones.
4) justice sucks balls in most of the countries, by law the bad guys are more protected than good guys.
5) they can't bring to justice because they are all scammers, so what kind of justice you are all talking?

my thoughts...
1) feel sorry for those who got scammed (victims of those scammers). life sucks sometimes, we have lot of shit in this world and i got scammed too.
2) happy to see those scammers on the news, i don't care the results. each country has their own method to bring the solutions (cut the hand, torture, killing, etc.)

this is my point of view, everyone has different thoughts and I respect. just sharing what i had to say.

Now one question, his partner get back his money or not?
They tortured him to give the private key to them so that they can get back their part of scammed amount. The guy refused to give details, hence the torture. He didn't give any credentials, otherwise, he would not get tortured.

Killing is not a good solution, now they will face jail and can’t get back the money they’ve lost. I know scammer deserve a punishment but its better if they suffer for the rest of their life and positively get your money back. Bitcoin is not the main reason of this crime, well its greed and more greed.

I think if one person tortured someone until death, it is not a good thing but we cannot say anything since we don't know who they are. It's related to humanity, but I think that was really happening in real life is out there. I hope that we don't scam other people and we can be a good person in our lives, and we can give a good thing for them. But torturing other people will not end the problem.

Unexpected shocking news. Only for money his partner murdered him. Yes, he deserve a punishment but not death.
By the way, this is a perfect lesson for scammers.

Now one question, his partner get back his money or not?

He deserved a punishment but its not death.most of us including me invest more money than we own by bank credit etc.this is a risk we decided to take.when someone tries to steal it, its normal to react even its too much.about the scammer, if he did this, he took this risk by fooling people.that risk includes death also unfortunetly.

This is one of the many scenarios which prove that money is really the root of all evil.

Yes, the scammer did something wrong but it is even more wrong to take away the life of another human being. I know that not everyone believes in religion which says that killing is wrong but one doesn't need any religion to know that depriving the life of an individual is not just and humane. I just can't stop thinking, "Where's your humanity?" There is some other way to deal with such situation without using extreme violence.

On the other hand, this wouldn't happen if the scammer didn't do what he did. Fooling people and taking away what's theirs is also unjust. This must serve as a lesson to all and to always find their humanity.

While I don’t agree on this one to torture someone till death is really not a good action to pay for what he did.but humans has limited controls to their emotions special these kind of people that involving to criminality’s who’s i think killing is their  basic doings.
$63 millions is not a small amount and I think this amount came from many victims and must return back to the right owner..hope this May turns threat to the scammers out there to stop bad habits and just do right things to earn

Since I know bitcoin is an investment place which can be done by all people as long as they want to read and there is many source to be learn by them on the internet easily. Which is mean we don't need someone else or third party when we intend to invest. Just choose the best/reputable exchange and make deposit to our account and also choose the strategy such as long term investment or short term investment, yeah that's all are easy way and even need a few times. But some people only heard the profitable that will get and they easily complacent with what others say. It is just an affected when we don't find more about the investment place character and I will not blame anyone on this case.

The punishment given to the scammer is too harsh although it may go a long way to deter others who want to scam others in the near future. This is murder, no matter the crime a person commits, he/she needs to be given a fair hearing at a competent court of law.
people cheat and do scamming to many people not because they are fad, they do it with the intention and that is their job. I will not forgive anyone who stole money from someone else's pain, it is a heinous crime. and must be paid in proportion to the crime they have committed, strict punishment for scammers will make other criminals afraid to do the same act, that must be applied.
The problem with this case is that the scammer was cruelly killed by his own business partner who I think is an unlawful act. They should be punished by the authorities. Unfortunately, those who tortured him and killed him must also be dealt with by law with additional punishment for murder. I'm also curious about what happened to the Bitcoin that they stole because only his dead friend knows the login details of the wallet.

Well, we can't expect ethical acts from a scammers band. There was a lot of money involved and hope all the scammed people get their money back.

He got killed for $63M, in my country people get killed for $250, so, he plays with fire and gets burned.

When viewed from the legal goggles, you can catch the fraudsters, and you do to judge them by torturing and killing. I think you will be in criminal for killing and torture. According to Crypto law has not been regulated by the Government, even we are difficult to prove how someone is doing a scam.

By judging like this, I think it will just hurt you.

This is really heartbreaking news. We hate scammers, but killing people is the worst thing in this world. But whenever I got scammed before, my feeling was to kill them badly, that's a common feeling I think. Though I can't appreciate this punishment way but they had no right to steal other people's hard earnings and now every other scammer should learn from this incident.

Some people will change when being exposed to a large amount of money but someone must be very angry after knowing that one of their guys was the scammer. I wonder what was the motive of the guy who killed the scammer, it could be someone that he knows got scammed by this scammer.
