It would decrease bitcoin price, and not only if satoshi sells his bitcoins because he is not the only one who is holding large amount of bitcoins.
But look at it in positive way, if that happens bitcoin price will go down and you will be able to buy cheaper bitcoins and sell them later for higher price  Wink

some says satoshi nakamoto is dead so , he cant never sell his own bitcoin and the whales are only holding a large amount of bitcoins but i guess they wont either sell it because if they do , it will greatly affect the market and will ruined the bitcoins value. but i dont believe that bitcoin will be sold out because there are still millions of it that arent mined yet and the others are always circulating from one person to another.

Satoshi would never do that. Why would he sell such quantities of coins. He understands that this will reduce the price of bitcoin on the market and he will get less profit. Why did he have much money? That is, if it exists. If these coins belong to the group which is not interested in the existence of bitcoin is that it can be used as a mechanism for the destruction of bitcoin.

Sataoshi's Bitcoins sells will not overpower the prices, Bitcoin has a $ 100 billion volume, similar to getting a few drops of water from the sea.

first of all they guess that satoshi may have about 1 million bitcoin, nobody knows for sure how much of if satoshi even has access to them or even is alive or not!

secondly, someone who waits this long (8+ years) is not going to suddenly unload 1 million coins on the market to harm what he himself created! that would be idiotic.

and finally 1 million sell off is not going to do anything to the market. but satoshi stash moving may cause some panic, and the bigger market gets the smaller this panic will be.
No one really knows if satoshi do have really that possesion of 1 million bitcoins and same as you said it would really be an idiotic move for him to see his creation to be affected on the possible actions that he would made.If he do need money then he can easily make cash-out but not on bulks for sure.If he do own 1m coins then its none of our business if he would sell it or not.

That's a lot of money  Shocked and I don't think satoshi would not kill his coin since if he really want that he wouldn't take this for so far and I'm really sure that he is smilling right now since this invention really helps those people who's in need of money. But the one bothering me is why does satoshi doesn't show up his identity up till now.

He accpeted smart decision with hiding himself from community.Maybe in future he wonna to talk in showtalk about his invention. Who knows? Things change eveyday so fast. Blockchain can replace world's finance system and it has this potential.

I'm doubting that digital assets can replace the financial systems globally since there are certain aspect for this to became will adopted well and there are certain countries are outdated to the new technology brought up today. But who knows maybe in near future we can see that the domination of the bitcoins and other digital assets will push up and maybe we will be lucky to be a early adopters to earn more on this digital era coming on future.

Satoshi can decide to sell of it bitcoin without mush infect on bitcoin pricing. 5% can bring bitcoin down but that will create opportunity to buy bitcoin at the cheap price. Bitcoin can now live without an individual and what ever happened we have achieved a lot of progress in this bitcoin for the past year.
If this would happen a lot of users will buy bitcoin at the cheap price. But if we can see the current situation price is rapidly increasing fast and I dont think it will happen anytime. There are many who supports bitcoin already and it will continue to grow.

My dear,
tell me somebody what will happen to bitcoin, if Satoshi sell it his 5% that is more than a million units?
Whether it can ruin the market or not?

Firstly, we don't know for sure whether or not satoshi actually have that much bitcoin. It's purely speculation right now whether or not he does have that amount and you'll have to do your own researrch and formulate your own opinion.

If he does sell then it'll definitely crash the market. No doubt.

But again, if he wants to sell why hasn't he sold back in 2013 when price has spiked or even now? He has vested interest in seeing bitcoin grow, since he is the founder.

Exactly, satoshi is not the only one who holds large of bitcoin. Well, I think even he sold all his bitcoin it will continue to rise and skyrocket. Bitcoin had been strong until these years and ever existed because of many supports from the users.

Satoshi died in 2013. These coins will never be sold.

For all we know, satoshi might not even be a single person. There is no evidence pointing towards anything about satoshi and "his" singular personality. It's been theorized that he's actually a group of people, rather than just a single person. Regardless, the bitcoin that satoshi holds will never be moved. Furthermore, the exchanges will always be moving bitcoin around, so I think it will be hard to sell out of all of the bitcoin available.

With the current trading volume? It will most likely not ruin the market but definitely result in having a decent decrease in price and then, it will be just a matter of time until the price goes up once again. I doubt he still have access to his coins honestly. (that's assuming he still alive)

Until now, it's not a fact that this is one person. And like any architect of the system, he (they) probably should know the fulcrum of the whole construction. By 2025-2030 he will be the richest man in the world and his secret plan does not know anybody. This makes one think his anonymity, and hence the uncertainty of intention.
So many speculations about satoshi being a group of people who came together to build something great while some imagine satoshi to be a single man from Japan. Whichever way, at this moment, no one really cares, and the only satoshi we know is the legacy that has already been dropped.

I would not blame whoever is behind the name anyway cause if I am the one, I would have done the same and that would have been a huge problem for me. So it is just better going solo and then knowing that you are an unknown god somewhere.

I am not sure that would tend to be much of a problem.

Highest that would happen is the price dropping a little bit and so many people quickly picking it up at that little price until we have it back up again and then at the end satoshi would end up having even a lot lesser but really, why would he even ever want to do that ?

If you are satoshi or even an investor with a lot of bitcoin, would you want to dump all you have for a lot lesser and then buying at a higher value? The market seems like something that will not be affected much with what satoshi has anyway.

Idiotic or not, there's still possibility that he could him, there's already some discussion regarding this and from my point of view, the bitcoin that satoshi currently holds have the potential of being harmful to the bitcoin ecosystem.
But however, Satoshi has long gone, or maybe he just destroy the privatkey of an address that contains million of BTC and who knows.

If satoshi is still among us, he is probably already a millionaire, and centainly doesn't have to touch those coins. But if he does, I'm fine with that. He did a pretty good job here, and that reward is something he really deserve.
