We do not know what will be its effects on bitcoin. We still dont know if those advisers will bring more advantages to bitcoin or if Trump will accept their proposals for bitcoin. But one thing for sure Trump coins has increased in value from 7k satoshi to 30k satoshi. Though I dont know what is the actual relation of PResident Trump to trumpcoin but after Trump won the election the coins has increased in value and during his entrance to the white house another price increase happens.

For the record, I don't think the US or any developed country will adopt a currency that they don't have full control over.

Bitcoin isn't going to be adopted in lieu of the Dollar. Nor do I think there's any discussion even close to that idea. I'm more intrigued with the idea that people that are such open and reputable supporters of Bitcoin are being brought into the White House as advisors for one or a number of other reasons. It opens the opportunity for bitcoin viability and use and longevity (outside and alongside fiat) of the currency.

yes there may be discussion about bitcoins developing as currency but adopting it fully in the country, i do not think it s gonna happen under the leadership of that government .it might happen in the later years like 20 -30 years later .not near soon.

It means we're going to have some good words within the White House for right now, but there is nothing yet to prove that they're going to actually do anything during their time there.

The good news is that we can expect nothing bad to happen during Trump's time in the White House, best case we do get some pro-Bitcoin legislation, if at all necessary.

Lol ya I think people just want to believe he's a huge supporter but I doubt he is.

Here's a snippet:

Quote
Senator Schumer has called Bitcoin “untraceable.”

And I called senator Schumer mentally incompetent. I'm pretty sure a currency where literally anyone in the world can watch your transactions is traceable hahaha! Duuuhhh.

Bitcoin sponsors and White House in the same sentence don't go well with each other. People related to Bitcoin working with governments has only one objective, helping with possible regulations, so there's no "sponsorship".

My thoughts are that it might get discussed in congress or something similar and the newly elected president won't really care about it.

I wouldn't expect any discussions about Bitcoin in the Whitehouse.  Donald Trump has recently said: “I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what’s going on.”
That being the case, I would imagine any discussion with him about Bitcoin would be unlikely or at best, fruitless.

Just read this news that a few well known Bitcoin sponsirs are bring looked at for non-bitcoin related positions in the White House. Peter Thiel and the founder of 21.co.

I wonder how this will increase discussions about the currentcy. I'd love to see it more widely acceotrd around the country (not to mention the World.)

Your thoughts?
