It is difficult to distinguish most members of women or men, we can not see from the name of his account .. with the female account name but he is male, on the contrary.
and I have friends, he's expertly dibitcoin account name that he uses with the name of a man, but actually she is a woman.
This proves the emancipation of women.

obviously male.. as with every domain on the internet, except the model websites and all the make-up youtube channels. Bitcointalk is by far predominated by male

Males.

However, bitcoin talk users are mostly Indian spammers that barely know English that are literally post-whoring just to earn money from signature campaigns. I wish there was actual discourse on this site, but it just seems to be shitposting upon shitposting.

Maybe you can move this to the Meta section.
Maybe the mods can move this to the trashcan where it belongs.

It wouldn't be an issue of racism, but of sexism.  Big difference, but I'm not surprised that OP doesn't understand this.  Nobody knows the gender breakdown of bitcoin users, so it's a pretty pointless discussion.  This forum is bloated with pointless discussions, and I should have ignored this thread as OP is on my ignore list.  Live and learn.

Maybe OP didn't intend to offend but the thing is he structured the question in a sexist manner. I think it is also a pointless discuss this.

with the passage of time that continues to spin economic growth is increasingly unaffordable, of course because it also causes men and women continue to seek a decent life. . so for me today men are the same as women want to master life so, bitcoin is controlled by both. mostly males are more in cryptoworld than females. but this doesn't really matters really.
Give me a break dear, are we going to discuss gender now? Man are supposed to earn and they are given the position of head of the family (not for nothing). It is their duty to fulfill the needs of respective families. That's why males are more into business. Getting the picture?

Men look forward to their future and most of them sees bitcoin to be the wealth of the future which is why the users in the forum are mostly male. Female users are more part of the developer's team. Some claim to me women but somehow bitcointalk users won't buy that easily.

Why is bitcoin resistant or otherwise uninteresting or does not attract many females....

any theories, evidence....?

I think it is because in a lot of ways Bitcoin is sketchy. Nobody knows who the creator is. The movement of money is anonymous. The whole concept of miners seem really weird to newcomers. I know it was weird to me. In fact, it still is weird. The volatility of the price. Women generally like things that are safe and lets face it, Bitcoin is very risky. It could come collapsing down one day, but it could also be something that changes the future. Only time will tell. I believe that women put a higher priority on not getting screwed over than men.

In a poker game a random female is more likely to be a calling station (doesn't like to be fooled) and less likely to be a bluffer (risk adverse) than a random man.

On the TV show golden balls. More females chose steal over split than men. The motivation behind this for a lot of them was fear that their opponent would pick steal and they would feel taken advantage of by picking split.

It does not add any value if you know the exact proportion or number of men and women here. Nowadays, it does not matter if you are male or female as long as you give valuable contribution to the community.

MALE
FEMALE

in my own perspective there are 90% of males are using bitcoins rather than females...
and I also based that when I will read in this forum..

it shows that MALE use the internet to earn money and do hardships for some bucks..
but they find bitcoin few years and started to bump up..
and now they started to mine.. etc

let me know guyzz I am not racist or else but let me know how may female and male are using bitcoin to earn few bucks
this question is a bit funny and weird, you ask most bitcointalk users are male or female. Even if you find the answer what is the benefit for you? and can it affect some things for you?

I am a female and I think I belong to the minority here, but I was influenced by my husband to get into bitcoin, and since then, there have been no regrets about the learnings and extra opportunities that we get from bitcoin. While I am a stay-at-home mother, I am finding ways to help my husband with our spendings, and bitcoin has been a good source of extra income.

You should answer first you question, before making asking here. you mean sexist not racist?

Obviously this is a male dominated forum and I guess males are decision makers and we are not afraid of failures. For those who have adopted bitcoin early, they didn't hesitate and invested on it and are open to face the challenge or take the chance in bitcoin. So look what happened, bitcoin became successful and those people now are enjoying their life. It's not about hardships for some bucks, we look around, observed or judge the situation and make a decision on whether explore bitcoin or not.

BTCT users are mostly male, most of the community is male, and most of the community will continue to be male until you see a majority of women (on the street when asked at random, essentially) talking or being involved in Bitcoin in some way, and that's going to happen with essentially anything that is new in the world.

This shouldn't be surprising for anyone either, though. It should be painfully obvious why this happens, and they should be able to see patterns of this, but I won't dive any further into it.

I guess this is maybe be off topic or some ice breaker question I think. Well anyway there is no specific gender here in the forum and I guess mostly here are Males, while only a little percentage of them are female. It is a bit obvious after all, and in my opinion why mostly the population in this forum are men, its because Males do like to adventure and discover new things, they like things that are complicated to begin with, they always want to explore new experiences and doesn't want to play safely and just wait for something to happen, they want something they made to happen.
