It's just another way for uninformed writers to try and come off as smart. It's so annoying. What a bunch of fools.

I also saw that on Reddit and I said... "Shite....Bitcoin ..the bad guy again" and then I remembered seeing that scene in Skyfall {previous bond movie}

That was in no way related to Bitcoin, but some poor Photoshop attempt to make it look like a Bitcoin mining farm.  Angry

We have been in movies before...  Grin It was discussed here ----> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-movies-925656

Too bad if that was real it was going to be a big advertise on the whole world which mean big boom for the Bitcoin..I know already that they are movies and series but if big ones start advertise it, it will be really good news for us and the system of Bitcoin.

Kind Regards,
BTC-Bank.

Would be pretty neat but a bad image for BTC again associating it with criminals.

Bitcoin is mostly criminals atm.

I'm sure Bitcoin won't be mad at me for being honest Tongue
I disagree, while yes there is still illicit crimes and use I think the majority has shifted to mining and traditional goods.
Bitcoin was used by criminals, there is no denial. But at the same time normal FIATs are currencies used by criminals every day since the dawn of money.
I heard opinion that Bitcoin is evil, because criminals use it. What twisted  logic in that? All knives and guns are evil too? Just because with it you can kill someone?

Are they really made bitcoin mining villain antagonist of Bond? I find it hard to believe in. Well if that is true bitcoin will have its mass media publicity. No harm done. And as they say there is no such thing as bad publicity. I am waiting for this movie, to see what it is about, so I hope they don't screw it up.

No, it's a joke. He could've photoshopped something bitcoin related on the subtitles, though. Would have been funnier.

Too bad, if it was real this would have made great publicity for Bitcoin.

It's not a joke, I didn't photoshop anything.  Source:

Roll Eyes. The screenshot might be real but obviously he's not really mining bitcoins. That's the joke.
Yeah and its a pretty old joke I think. Actually i've seen this same screenshot months ago when the movie came out.

It has to be extremely hot in there. If he wanted to torture James he could chain him to the floor and come back in 12 hours. Our agent would be dry like jerky by then Cheesy

In the movie he's probably breaking encryptions or passwords and needs a lot of computing power. A true villain wouldn't mine Bitcoin, where's the evil in that?

What a waste of space! And the room has windows?
I don't buy it. You'll have to work harder next time, Bond.
