Based from what is occurring today, I guess this is what really is happening right now because some online business are already using them as the mode of payment.

Will Bitcoin become the new gold and will Dash be used for daily payments? Any other potential crypto currencies in mind that can replace BTC or DASH?

yes bitcoin will be new gold soon all will put them investment in bitcoin
Dash is suitable for many daily payments because it is fast, but the problem is that it is a coin dedicated to privacy and therefore I do not expect to use it on a daily basis because it is difficult to verify transactions.
litecoin will be for Daily payment and use it like silver.

Gold usually never goes down drastically and quite stable. but is it possible taht bitcoins could go the reverse direction?

There are some that believe it will but no one knows for sure. What will happen when people will stop buying bitcoin... Will it stop or not the fact is that at the moment it is used to store value and only a low percentage of people even know about Bitcoin, let alone Litecoin or other cryptos..

Right now I would agree with you one it comes to choose the coin that works best as "digital gold", or gold 2.0 (whatever the name they call it now). It's gaining acceptance among Wall Street investors, with the release of futures market, and it should soon get ETF approval, so it's all set for bitcoin to become a new asset class. Because of it's characteristics, it definitely resembles a lot with gold, but it enhances it further, since it's transactions, mining and storing, are a lot more secure and efficient than using gold.
As for Dash as a payment method it's hard to say. The currency status, or new payment method status, for crypto hasn't been decided yet. Mos cryptos are still to volatile, so even with low fees, it will be hard to use them as a payment method right now. Also, let's not forget that is the lightning network works well, Bitcoin could also enter that race again, so nothing is decided yet.

Everyone knows about Bitcoin he is growing. Hardly anyone who wants to pay, only store or trade.
The bubble is inflated and the cost will be more than now. So I think BTC is gold.

Bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrency, anyone know that so no doubt with bitcoin reputation. No coin can replace bitcoin.
Dash i know very quick if we send any payment, so we can use for daily payment. So far i think dash is the quickest.

At some point we will have a problem with all the crypto currencies trying to emerge as the coin for payment for that you need a stable coin with cheap and fast transaction. The most likely scenario is that bitcoin is the store of value and purchases made with coins such as ltc or dash.

I think so, but not necessarily DASH, there are a number of coins that could be the day to day payment coin, litecoin or ripple for example.

Bitcoin is slowly getting beyond the point of being used as an everyday payment method with fees as high as they are. I hope to see this price continue upwards in 2018.

Yes I think you're right.
But I heard rumours that the pattern of Bitcoin is over and that it will choose a direction anytime soon. I'm a BTC believer and will hold mine for long term.

In my opinion, if developers of Bitcoin can solve problems about confirmation time of the transaction and decrease transaction fees Bitcoin will become digital gold. If not, others coins will replace it.

Bitcoin is the new Gold per say due to the value attach to it and also the digital currency that is used for payment and transactions online. As for the potential cryptocurrency that may tend to replace  I think is Etherum which is very hard to say or believe.

I'm thinking Bitcoin being as secure and widely accepted as it is, would be the Global reserve currency. Dash is pretty convenient, so I have no issues with it being used for payments.

Well, for me, having bitcoin at its high price range is like having a gold that's continuously getting expensive. Yet, bitcoin is mostly used for huge transactions and payments while Dash are for the small ones. Because admit it, you never want to spend bitcoin to pay something while you can see that its price will go up high.

Yea, no one wants to be the "spent 2000 bitcoins on a pizza" guy  Grin

If you don't want to spend your Bitcoins when they are expensive doesn't that make more people not want to spend theirs?

That would lead to less daily volume eventually I would think since nobody will be trying to sell their coins.

I still don't know if people will want to use Dash for regular payments.

Bitcoin I feel shall no longer be considered to use as a normal payment processor, it shall more or less likely be used as a store value, however there are instances where I have been able to trade it for goods. Iota has been making lot of name for itself and one should keep a eye on it. There is another coin deeponion which I feel has good potential but time will tell how it'll perform.

As for Dash - it`s already can be used in 13000 Locations in Brazil:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/digital-currency-dash-now-usable-at-13000-locations-in-brazil

But there are a lot of coins which have speed more than 48 trans/sec.
BitShares have throughpass about 100k trans per sec!

What about the high transaction fees of bitcoin? Can you imagine if amazon accepted bitcoin payments and people order a book for $20 and have to pay high transaction fee which makes it too expensive? I see BTC more as a investment than a currency for daily payments.

Of course the fees are way too big now. And I still believe that the current size of the mempool is unnatural. And you are right on this, there was already a story about Steam no longer accepting Bitcoin exactly because of the fees.
There are already merchants accepting some of the altcoins here and there, I know that too.

For now, the best option is indeed to work with Bitcoin-as-asset, not Bitcoin-as-currency if you cannot use SegWit.
But Bitcoin is evolving. SegWit is already a big step. LN will follow. The devs will improve Bitcoin until it will become fit to be used as currency.

And let me give an example. I have a "Bitcoin card". Before, converting Bitcoin to fiat was expensive. They moved to SegWit and now I don't even know if it's for free or just dirt cheap. It's a good step forward.

Segwit gives hope! I believe in btc. Still regret selling a lot back in 2014. Luckily I still have a good amount left. If the devs manage to implement innovations that reduce the fees and speed up the transactions then btc will be used as investment and daily payments.
How do you feel about the Dash pre mine? I don't know if people will want to use Dash for daily spending compared to Bitcoin.
