Until now no country has officially legalized bitcoin, I think it will continue so it's hard for bitcoin to become international currency.
Yes true and this is the hardest thing so bitcoin will continue like this, up and down can reach tens of percent in a day. of course, to become an international currency requires price stability so as not to confuse everyone.
That is actually a point of discussion. If there is stability in a currency that can be eligible for being an international currency. What if bitcoins are still fluctuating then there are no chances of being it an international currency. And bitcoins are compelled to be international currency then it must be stable and if it would happen, no charm of bitcoins would remained.

If bitcoin to be international currency, what do you think?
You can use it every where and anywhere, without exchange it.
And how to use transaction with it, if bitcoin just crypto currency?
How many people like with this thread?

For it to be a true officially do not accept all country. but it is very importance all country. it is digital currency in the world.
There is no problem if not all the country officially accept bitcoin because there is nothing we can do for that. Bitcoin is a very great currency and it is just waiting for other countries to accept bitcoin because if they are going to accept bitcoin then it is very easy to tell that they might experience a faster way of paying money and doing remittances to different parts of the world.

Currently Bitcoin has become an international currency, it is proven by the legalization of Bitcoin in some countries, and bitcoin has also been operated throughout the country. the only thing we need is having to reach the mainstream to become more popular in the future. so Bitcoin reaches its highest value.

I do not agree that bitcoin is an international currency, because not all countries have accepted it, and in some cases it is generally banned. He needs even more time to become a world currency.
For me it is already international, but it is not just currency, it is crypto-currencies. So that it is an international crypto-currencies because it is already can be use all over the world. We can use it as long as we have internet everywhere we want.
Whether it is crypto or fiat, currency is a currency as long as it is used for buying and selling things and bitcoins are doing this since its creation. There is no doubt in this that bitcoins are already sued in international transactions but yes, they are not yet legal around the world.
Bitcoin can be international currency seeing the importance of it and its realistic approach towards the current growing value of it. If it happens it will certainly start ruling over the other currencies of the world and eventually only bitcoin will be seen everywhere. So it is just a matter of time until we see the success in the global market.

If Bitcoin becomes the national currency in Venezuela I think that'll be a fantastic achievement for the Bitcoin network as that is it's goal, to have other countries currencies base their value off it.

Bitcoin is used all over the world and so it could be termed as an international currency now itself. Its getting legalized in many countries one by one after it got legalized by japan.Just in one or two small countries like bangladesh,it has been banned. We could see that localbitcoins.com,a website where people mostly sell their bitcoins for cash is available in 249 countries and it shows that bitcoin is already used world wide.

Bitcoin is not yet international currency but it is soon to be. Maybe the legalities of bitcoin is not yet maximized but we can see more and more improvements in bitcoin that will help itself to have a great future and great reputation so the countries will don't hesitate for bitcoin to legalize it and make it as a full international currency.
I would love it to happen also. People were widely accepting Bitcoin and there's a lot of users in Bitcoin in most of the countries. And as long as there is an improvement on a daily basis for Bitcoin, it will have potential to become the international currency.

Sounds good that bitcoin will become international currency. But it is difficult because of many reasons. One of the reason is many government ban bitcoin. They announce it illegal in their country. Other hand many countries accept it and Bitcoin paid their people well

Investing in the future development of blockchain

Bitcoin already known and used worldwide. Sure the number of people who use bitcoin is still not as big as we wanted to but it is not small neither. I wish that Gox thing never happened. Because of that scam people got scared a lot and they see bitcoin as scam sadly.
But still most of the countries worldwide dont recognized bitcoin yet because of its characteristic that it is volatile system, in which governments cannot assure 100% that they can be profitable here as well as aiming for their economy to grow in a short period of time. The thing is , it is possible that soon bitcoin be aligned for the international currency.

Bitcoin now is internaltional currency it is world wide currency use for exchanging other currency. Bitcoin will be the substitue for dollar in the future.
You are absolutely right with being an international currency but bitcoin being a substitute for dollar. May be or maybe not but I don’t know how that will happen without a fight. Grin

I know a time will come actually that bitcoin will become the most preferred international means of payment than having to source for USD most especially in some countries but I don't see that stopping USD from still being used.

It is very possible and we are already getting there. Over the years there has been several challenges during the process of having so many transactions but we have been overcoming. We may not have gotten there yet but is already an international currency since it is being exchanged internationally in lots of countries worldwide. After all, what does international mean in the first place? May be we should start from there for those who said it isn't already.

I think Bitcoin is already international just be linebacker PayPal and other major credit and debit card operators. I don't know what these other payment processors do internationally that Bitcoin falls short of doing.

Maybe you have missed something but Bitcoin is already an international currency. I am pretty sure that at the moment in the most countries in the world you would be able to meet someone who could sell you something for Bitcoin. Unfortunately you won't find many shops at the moment, but as we observe the market trends it should be changed soon.

Exactly, the OP needs to edit the thread title because Bitcoin is already an international currency and it is being used in several jurisdictions around the world . I don't think it is yet to become international.
