yeah we all know that bitcoin is cryptocurrency. but not a problem if we call bitcoin as currency? because you can buy stuff offline using bitcoin? and when in use by everyone maybe it can call international currency
Bitcoin isn't such type of "currency" because it's absolutely different from real money. Bitcoin is virtual, you can't withdraw bitcoin from bank or atm (but there are some physicsl coins). So that's why we call it crypto currency. To my mind fact that we can buy stuff offline using bitcoin doesn't makes any important sense in that situation.
Bitcoin more like a bridge of transaction from fiat, like me I can withdraw my bitcoin directly to my ATM account every time I cash out.
Its crypto currency because it's separate from the usual legal currency and we can also call them as digital currency as it is an online money as per definition although not legally define as that.

That will be a long way to go in achieving that feat and personally I don't think its going to be possible but I also have the believe that the highest we could witness is that government should be silent about its use for transborder transaction but not coming outrightly to give it the support simply because of the effect its going to have on their own currency thereby reducing their influence in world politics.
By definition that which is not forbidden is allowed so if governments of the world decide to ignore bitcoin as if it does not exist then that is even better for us since we will not have to deal with any useless regulations coming form our local governments regarding the way we use bitcoin.

Yes either way will be best for us if bitcoin is not recognized by government there will not be much regulations and pro government rules applied to bitcoin but if government recognizes bitcoin it will be better as more people will start using bitcoin and the value of bitcoin will increase much mroe than we have seen in the past but i don't think it's gonna happen overnight it will take more time.

Why got so many people agree that bitcion is going to be international currency?
First, we need to know that bitcoin don't have many platform to use it.
Secondly, the volality of bitcion cause the dumping of bitcoin become unpredicted.
Thirdly, the safety issue of bitcoin should be discused more deeply in term of technology growth. If you know how credit card or debit card growth, you know security play an important role for an international currency. Do bitcion really is anonymous? Everyone can see bitcion transaction because the block chain is public and although bitcoin addresses isn't associated directly to real world identities. However, if really got some genius found out a way to de-anonymize the network and who will be the person/organisation to improve the anonymous issues?

Maybe one day if i am free, i would like to open a post to discuss details in why bitcoin can be used as a money or not .

If bitcoin to be international currency, what do you think?
You can use it every where and anywhere, without exchange it.
And how to use transaction with it, if bitcoin just crypto currency?
How many people like with this thread?
It will take some more time for bitcoin to be international currency.it has to be accepted universally all over the world. If it becomes so,its price would even go much higher. We could easily buy stuffs for our daily needs with bitcoins.

I am sure it will take sometime for bitcoin to be accepted as international currency just like the USD but as of now bitcoin is the best alternative for any currency in the world and as you have mentioned once the bitcoin is recognized as international currency the value of bitcoin will reach a new surge so we need to save more and more bitcoin possible to make sure we have sufficient funds in bitcoin to use it as future money.

I think this is still a debate, many users of the bitcoin is optimistic about the future of the bitcoin will replace the fiat money, I think it still takes long process, because the Government needs political support to approve the wearing of bitcoin.

A very long process that need to take by bitcoin to be implemented as a world currency. Even though there where country that let people use it as their payment yet there were countries that totally contradict with the function of it even there are lots of advantages.
Bitcoin is on a long path to become the world currency. Although Bitcoin is used everywhere, there are not many people recognizing this cryptocurrency because they still believe in Fiat and tradition currency. Moreover, some countries even ban Bitcoin for no reason

Bitcoin is already a world currency as well as other cryptocurrencies due to their nature that they can be accessed and used all over the world and crossing boundaries and not is limited by just one country like traditional currencies. But even bitcoin is a world currency it is not the official legal tender and so it can never replace the fiat currencies that are existing right now.
yes that is right to say that bitcoin is already an international currency as bitcoin can be use as currency in all over the world and hope thatn in future it will become more and more popular.
Nothing to say about the statement bitcoin as an international currency. According to the massive adoption and bitcoin have a lot of the users around the world. and it would be assigned as a common aspect.
But by determine the bitcoin from the institutional recognition and it looks like bitcoin is not an international currency. The limited of the blocksize makes bitcoin difficult to attract more people to use it.
but to me i think bitcoin is already a universal currency as bitcoin is present in all part of the world and all types of people may be using bitcoin. may be there are some places but hope that very soon bitcoin will be using in all over the world.

Bitcoin never belonged to just one country. In order to use bitcoin, you do not need to be a citizen of any particular country. This all suggests that bitcoin is already an international currency

That's very true, we don't need to set a date or sit to sign documents before Bitcoin can become an international currency but it is already because of its widespread usage. Every nook and cranny of this world with Internet access can easily transact online business with Bitcoins.
If your definition about international currency mean can be used everywhere over the world, yes bitcoin can.
But, rather than that definition won't be so matter if bitcoin isn't used and known as a currency to buy something such as dollar or euro.
Lately bitcoin known as an asset, commodity, store of value and not being used as currency in most countries around the world due to higher fees, volatile price and just a few merchants still adopted bitcoin payment or people decide not to use bitcoin instead of fiat money.

I don't think it would that be easy, well admittedly I will be happy if we are exempted from any government regulation so we will be able to enjoy the full freedom we are looking. However, I believe that as long as we are living in this word, we are guided with the rules and regulations of the government and they have the power to prosecute those who violate the rules, bitcoin will increase adoption for sure and that is a threat on their side.

The confirmation time of the blocks takes a longer time, and the recommended transaction fees increase because of the volume of transactions happening. That's what the drawback in bitcoin is, the longer time to be confirmed but still, it's a good thing compared to other transfer of money.

Primary argue here is it bitcoin currency at all, if it is then its international, if its not then its not. I don`t know is it bitcoin currency or not, but I see that people are using it from each part of the world, there is something international about it. And if you can purchase things with it, gamble, send to other people, buy drugs and weapons, then there is little currency in bitcoin. Question answered.
All this will be so until the us Federal reserve will not feel the threat of competition from bitcoin. Quite simply prohibit banks from accepting transactions in which are seen the trail of bitcoin and it will be a black day in the history of cryptocurrency.

For real bitcoin can be first worldwide currency which can be used in an country, but it always depends on governments politics to make it official. But in the other side governments of most countries, are really staying behind and don't want to give it to people because of non-decentralized system and no identification to each person that made his wallet

off course the bitcoin is already become a international currency now because it is using by so many people of varrious countries .the performance of bit coin is also accepted by users so it become verry popular site now a days.
bitcoin is used by various people around the world from different countries and it proves that bitcoin worth anywhere and I think now we can say that bitcoin is an international currency

Yes since almost country has an access on using bitcoin, it is just that our choice to use it. I hope one day this international currency be implemented and accept by the government.  How kool will it be when we shall see all nations, one currency and that too is bitcoins. Wink

I dont think that it will happen in very soon or not possible because to become international currency it has to be in large circulations. Most of them forget that Bitcoin is a good for investment like gold and in some aspects it can be used as online currency but it to become international currency is too small chances. It can become online currency and good for investment

It will happen infact on some of the places it is already happening. only one thing is old currencies will not be removed entirely from the market because it is present from a long time if it is done it will create havoc moment. lets first it get popular among the young people sooner or later masses may start accepting it but it will take time. It has to be educated among more people so that it becomes the common way of transaction.

Agree with you. Bitcoin can not replace the national currency instantly. At once it will become an alternative way of payment and will exist together with Fiat. And then, maybe, and will supplant Fiat
yes bitcoin is still not in position to replace fiat of a country, but it can only be possible if all the people of a country stop using fiat and star using bitcoin, but i think in near future it is look like impossible.
yes i also agree with you, it is a fact that bitcon is not going to replace fiat, as bitcoin is still not adopted by all the peole of the world and therefore most of the people of the world are mostly using their fiat currency.
