Would it be better, then, for him to just send another check and not void the first one, but dispute it if the first one is cashed?

I certainly wouldn't do that.  By sending a second check you risk both being cashed and losing the dispute.

For real?  I thought it was a no-fees deal.  Shows how often I cancel checks, I guess...

Usually it is pretty expensive.  A good bank might do it for $20 but I have seen fees as high as $50.  Generally should only be done as a last resort emergency.

I'd much rather see a Bitcoin to Checks service... that way, you could issue me a new check and void the original with your bank if it gets lost somehow.

That said, I've been waiting for a service like this to pop up!

Most banks charge steep fees to cancel a check.

Back when I worked customer service for bank of america it was $35 per check.  And no, we couldn't do ranges if you lost your whole checkbook.  It was either pay for each one, or wait and dispute it if any were used.

Just did business with him, it was very smooth, and most importantly very fast.  I'll post again once the cash gets here, but so far it's been great, and I recommend it for sure!  Grin

Yes, I don't see why not, but anything under $20 really doesn't seem worth it to me.

I've done a successful transaction with this individual. Fees are good I think, he responds and keep you posted on your coins and actually sends the money! He's totally legit, I'd use him repeatedly. Some of the easiest exchanges I've ever had. A+++

USPS doesn't guarantee delivery even with delivery confirmation.

Yes, we have to be very trusting of the postal service to deliver.  I'm fine with adding certified mail or delivery confirmation.  Either option would be a little extra.  It looks like it is $1.15 for a Certificate of Mailing or $2.95 for Confirmation of Delivery.  If anyone wishes to add either option, I will add it to the fee.  I may consider just raising the fee to cover the Certificate of Mailing and do it for all orders.

I guess the question I had was, let's say the item is mailed with Delivery Confirmation request, but the item is never delivered?   Are there any guarantees?

I lowered the fee by 1% and added details on costs of additional options.  Even though the fee has lowered it's still the same price basically with the postage added in.  Also added and additional FAQ question on the USPS losing the envelope.

No worries. I'm not expecting much.  I am not familiar with bitcoin2cash site or what happened.  I don't plan on accepting requests if I can't cover it. Again, simple as possible.
