The Bitcoin are down to $3000. it's possible. But to go down to $1000 I'm not sure it can happen. But everything can happen to bitcoin, either decline in prices or increases prices.
Few days left in 2018 and the current market price of bitcoin is around $3300 so most probably there is a very low chance of falling to $1000 level but if it will happen, it is possible to be on first quarter next year

Probably, you do not know that one of the exchanges already offered Ethereum for $13 but they failed to find the clients. I do not think that Bitcoin will fall so awfully, ETH will not do it as well.

in my opinion it is only a matter of agony and to lower the price of cheaper for them to buy in cheap and make everyone panic with their speculation that there is a decline caused by bch plus more by making people panic

Such predictions are healthy for those that took it seriously, in crypto everything is possible, I think what just happened is a repetition of cycle as such a huge drop has already happened in the bitcoin history.
