We may correct to $600 in Jan.

Not a correction, a flash crash and then rocket to the ATH and beyond!!!

Too many people investing thesedays  for the price to get back to 600 I think...
If it even dropped to 750 I think people would fill their boots.... And make it shoot back up  Cheesy

Yeah we are strong believe that if the price goes or touch in 600 level it can increase again back or refill what was gone just to prove that bitcoin is now strong than before.. and they are not let the price to decrease until 600 value because this is a new level of bitcoin..

In case of correction to 600 in january then this is right time for selling and waiting for that drop, and buying again. This sounds like perfect way to make more coins. Just things are not always like they look like, that drop might not happen. Bitcoin price is going up all this months, and I don`t believe in drop, I believe in slow rise until we touch that 1000 $ mark. I thought it will happen earlier, but I was wrong about timing, that price will come but not so fast as many of us wish here, including me.

I feel very same things in bitcoin, it really has huge potential of speculations.
It is like nothing is very expensive if you think about future.
I can guess another $1000 in a year or two, but I dont think it will be stable.

I agree, and I have been buying even when I really couldn't afford it.

Some day, and I think it may be sooner than many think, we will look back when bitcoin was ONLY $2000 a coin, and if I only had bought more then,,,
(but I am glad I bought what I have now)

It may seem expensive now at this price, around $790 today, but it is tomorrow's bargain, and maybe even winning lottery ticket.  (only with a lot better odds of winning)

There is always something else behind the rise of the price. So you have to just be vigilant with what is happening right now and just ride the wave while it lasts cause you never know what tomorrow may bring with another rise or slide in price. Undecided

What do you think will be behind the bitcoin price rise in the next 6 to 12 months?

I think so too. Though the problem is what if everybody sold their bitcoins so fast that it will drop to 600 due to fears of it really dropping. I guess we can't yet discount the possibility that it may drop to 600. But I think there would be plenty of people willing to buy shit tons of bitcoin once it goes back to 700. We won't know for sure until it happens.

If we should drop down to $600 I'm pretty sure there will be more than enough people being happy to buy in or accumulate even more as we all know that Bitcoin still is very very tiny in terms of market capitalization and value.
So I say let it skyrocket and I will have a seat and enjoy the ride, or let it get dumped and I will buy even more and enjoy the moon ride happening after that.

Bitcoin is the break in all world's economy. Just appeared in 2008 year today it costs so high as creators even could not expect. I think bitcoin is our future and future of money in general. We don't know how much bitcoin is goin to cost in some years and what form it will takes. Today we can only guess about it all.

No bodys with me for a 50k btc???

In our dreams maybe.  Grin Grin Grin

It could happen but not in the near future nor it could happen in 10 to 20 years. But I think it could happen, especially if bitcoin gets adopted by a very big company. If half the world would be using bitcoins then the demand will really skyrocket along with it's price. As the supply of bitcoins can never match the demand for it, as bitcoins has only a finite amount.

i've been all in for a long time now and i have already made more than 100% even before bloomberg starts finding out about bitcoin. my rule is to always get in when nobody is talking about anything. it means more than a year ago where every single topic in this board were talking about price falling to $100 and i was happily buying and filling my mattresses (so to speak).

With the current rate of price growth $1000 doesn't seem too far price may sit well above $800 by end of this year and next year we may see another 100% pump so it seems price can easily touch $2000 by end of next year which will be more than 100% of today's price.

Price growth also looks healthy this time rather than quick pump and dump like before. Price is pumping and getting some correction and than again pumping which is good pattern and shows natural growth.

The miners have spoken:

Bitcoin’s Rally Crushed Every Other Currency in 2016. Here’s Why
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-12-16/bitcoin-s-rally-crushed-every-other-currency-in-2016-here-s-why
Quote
My personal expectation is that bitcoin will at least gain another 100 percent,” said Krohn, chief financial officer of Hong Kong-based Genesis Mining, which deploys server farms to mine the currency.

Quote
“Bitcoin is coming into its own,” says Tim Draper, a venture capitalist who’s bought thousands of bitcoins over the years. “There are starting to be consumer uses for bitcoin, and if people have any concerns about their own fiat currency -- the rupee, for example -- they flee to bitcoin as an alternate currency.”

It is funny how you were trying to cause FUD all these months but have finally decided to buy Bitcoins at a very late moment. Well at least you know that buying is better and knowing the future of Bitcoin is still bright (or dark, as in darknet).

The real and organized criminals have not yet started using the dark markets. When they start using it for a good % of their business this will be worth so much and it will be unstoppable, with Bitcoin in the middle of all that trades and value making.

They are right, it will have to go up. The difficulty rises and power consumption for the same amount of blocks rises with it. The price will have to adjust for that or we won't have anyone to support the network.
It may not double but we should see a nice increase in price in 2017. Good luck and patience to all the holders!

I personally think 100% is on the low side...
When btc gains traction it will go up a hell  of a lot faster than that.... Fiat money is crashing around the world and demand for btc is voracious...
