If we see the price in this May (have gone up 100% from the month of april) doesn't seem to hard to reach $4 k, I'm very optimistic price bitcoin can reach $4 k in this year (maybe 3 months again).
$4,000 for this year is very possible. If this increase will be continuous and if there would be a dump it will be only a small time.
I would say that I'm getting excited to see the price of bitcoin pump up to $4,000 for this year.
And it's very possible that most of the holders will love to make a lot of money out of bitcoin.

If the price continue to rise then yes it would be a massive profit if you buy 10 Bitcoins today. But if bitcoin experience the same fate at the start of 2014 down to 2015, then it would be a massive loss to you. It would be a disaster to your investment. Remember investing have risk.

I think it is possible. If we see how fast the bitcoin price increase rally, there is no doubt $3000 BTC is just some weeks away. As long as there will be no FUD to appear, I believe bitcoin will reach $4000 at the end of 2017.

Why not? Chances are everywhere. If 2017 is enough for this speculation to happened? No reason for not believing on it as there are many things to considered as factor why bitcoin price should reached the $4,000 or even more.
Since the comeback from dipping point after the ETF subject, the price tremendously goes forward with only little dips established on the way. No large price decrease happened and we can noticed that the support for every small dips are impressive. We can expect a price decrease and that is normal but that's enough reason why the price shouldn't reached $4,000 before the year ends.
If ever the movement of the price will remain pumping and become much quicker it would be possible that bitcoin would reach $4000 within this but if it's not then maybe the year 2018 would be expected to be the possible time for that price . I just based it all from how the price is moving and there could be a different scenario in the near future .
Anything is possible now with bitcoin price. And $4000 is not an exception. A lot has been said that $2000 with not be hitted within the year. But look are where we are right now. The only thing that I'm afraid of is that one negative news will halt all this madness about bitcoin. But still, $4000 is not that far and be touched sooner than we think.

It should happen in near future, most likely in the next 4-6 months, as there are rumors that SegWit will be activated in August.
I expect another price spike after Australia will legalize bitcoin in July too.
Nothing is impossible, but I prefer to focus on settling above the $2000 level instead of focusing on a price far beyond it. Don't forget that this is Bitcoin after all -- it doesn't take much for some sort of drama to kick in and force people to panic sell their coins. Also important to add is the fact that we haven't gone through a serious correction yet. That's why I prefer to remain holding a conservative stance in this whole situation.
I'll be bullish and say we will see that in the next 90 days then get smoked but honestly when it broke 1600 it wasn't even that long till we broke 2K and now its chugging along at $2250 if the speed stays consistent this thread might fulfill itself by the beginning of July.

If you had asked this a month ago, I would had said no within a second but now I just know. As you can see the BTC has has been literally erratic, so obviously if it continues with this erratic uptrend then 4000 isn't a big deal to be achieved in this year, but keep in mind it can just drop as much as it risen. What do you think about this and if yes, is 2017 enough for this speculation?
Bitcoin still has some bullets to give more hype in the future. But your decimal will get acquired by bitcoin at the end of this year. $3k is more reasonable decimal in my mind. You can see how the market is always trying to hype bitcoin every time. The price goes up every time, and it just takes a short rest.

I read a study on bitcoin.com that states bitcoin forum users were able to predict the price of bitcoin with 80% accuracy. So, I feel there is no harm in prediction. I don't think it will reach $4000 but $3000 is sure.
That might be true, but just look at any bitcoin market chart, and you will know that $4,000 is possible. Back in December 2016, there was a lot of people who were optimistic about the price breaking $1,000, and it did. Look at the price now – almost double what was in early 2017 in just 5 months, everything is possible in the crypto world.

Right now we are seeing fast increase but it doesn't mean that the price will touch or double in $4k.. i think we still experience of large dump this year except if more good news will be happen the same as last few months about legalized in japan..

To be honest prices are unpredictable at the moment its almost as if we gaining a 50 dollars increment each day and we not even passed mid year(June) guess ~$3500 sounds practical Quote

Should the scalability of bitcoin be addressed with a solution we just might get there before the end of the year...Bitcoin value is really a good rewarding investment 
Not enough time to reach 4000$ this year. But 3500$ this year is possible. And by the year 2020 bitcoin will be 10,000$. Cause after japan accept bitcoin, 5 more countries will do it also.
2020 is the next block reward halving, I think we could see $10,000 per bitcoin by then as you said. It will make a lot of us very happy.
