I think bitcoin is still lacking from too few participants.
But the higher the price goes, the more attention it attrackts.
The more attracktion bitcoin has, the more participants it gets.
And there are really very much people out ther who have nothing to do with bitcoin, but would join us, if they just knew about it.
The way bitcoin has been moving the past few weeks is to me a result of attracting new members.
And it's taking up speed.

Not many people (in relative terms) knowing Bitcoin is exactly where you can see a potentially massive amount of growth come from. I have said that years ago, and I am still saying it; even looking at current levels, there is so much more growth to gain in the coming years than most of us think is possible. Even though Bitcoin reached a $30 billion market cap, it's still a massive joke. I wouldn't be surprised to see this increase to $500-$1000 billion at some point in the future. Especially when institutions allocate a fair share of their portfilio to Bitcoin. Smiley

Bitcoin Market Cap passes 30 Billion.  Where to? $100 billion?

Why not?

TESLA is 53B$, Facebook is 435B$, Microsoft is 535B$, Apple is 799B$...

30B$ is no where big already. I think bitcoin has the potential to surpass facebook, microsoft and apple. That means we are still in its early phase. Even if we catch up with Tesla, that means another %100 increase in prices. Doesn't sound impossible to me considering the pump going on lately.

The only thing bothers me is the fees with small transactions.  Huh
I agree.  Bitcoin was built with the potential to have market cap in the trillions.  Very interesting how it is going.

Good example. 100B$ is very achievable especially when bitcoin solves some problems and issues circulating them. With or without ETF approval bitcoin is heading there depending on its developments.

$1,840 USD now at Preev and $1,874 USD at Coinbase I have a strong feeling we will see $2,000 USD in a matter of days and I hope there is no catch here as some people might buy coins thinking that they will gain some profits but instead they will lose more because price will crash and I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon.

Way back November 2013 Bitcoin recorded its all time high at $1,108 but after 19 days Bitcoin dropped to $593 USD or 46% and from that point it took years before Bitcoin reached $1,000 USD level again.

Price is consolidating towards $1800 back after a small dump seen in a matter of minutes when Bitcoin reach $1750 new ATH, it is currerntly $1779 and no matter what happens with the mining issues, we are not stopping hereby. I see it crossing $2000 in no time if we will be running at such high speed.

Sounds very reasonable as price is now over $1,800.  We shall see.... www.urbancrypto.com

$1,700 and still rising, I'm not going to be surprised if one morning I open my eyes and check the price and see $2,000 USD. For now haord and hold is the best thing to do. The only downside of whats happening with Bitcoin price going to the moon is the transaction fee and confirmation takes longer.

Other than high confirmation time and fee, i think it is creating uncertainty among the bitcoin users. There is no surely of when the bitcoin price stop rising and when it will dump., even the most experienced traders are not sure where the bitcoin is heading.  Wink

Its down to $1600 as per current price of Kraken. Looks like a lot of investors are dumping bitcoin. Previously it hit $1740 but now its down. I'm assuming there is resistance now and will quite stall the price at $1600. But hey, it is still a good price so I don't think we should all panic and dump our bitcoin now.
Average price when you combine Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Gemini and BTC-e is around $1745 there is no use to determine the price and base your observation only on one exchange.
If you need to use one exchange to check price, I would say that the most trustworthy exchange at this moment is Gemini, full regulated and backed by large trust company.

Isn't it that Gemini is owned by the Winklevoss twins? And their ETF proposal is under 2nd review by SEC right now? Correct me if I'm wrong but how can they be Gemini be trustworthy then if they are working hard to get the ETF accepted? Should there be a bias price on Gemini because of this scenario? I'm just asking.

That's my assumption. This is a lot of FOMO from people rushing back to bitcoins, buying at ATHs then when it dips because the ETF is declined again they will dislike bitcoins because they bought @$1900 now they're worth $1300 lol. It's fine for us that have been here a long time to ride the waves though, as I've double or tripled my initial investment so I'm just risking profits at this point and not my own capital.

It's 1770 at Bitstamp now. No matter 1600 or 1700 the price is high and in the past few weeks its running up fast. We'll soon enough see if there will be the end of it or we will continue to climb. In any case panic and panic predictions should be avoided, it's the worst thing that can happen.

yesterday in yobit the bitcoin price reached till $1799 and now it is going down to $1690 as most of small traders are taking profit but i think it will bounce back and in this month we can see $2000 price
You should pay attention to the exchange rate of reputed exchanges such as Bitstamp, and not a joke exchange such as Yobit. With a simple cough that exchange jumps up to levels as $3000. No volume, no liquidity, no buy support, etc.

It's standing at $1734 atm.

Which makes me really sad as I sold at $1650 thinking that it was the end of the so-called bubble.
Why being sad when you have made profits? It doesn't make any sense, unless the profits you sold for were too insignificant. In order to avoid such situations, make sure you never sell all your coins at once. If you're looking to cash out profits, then sell MAX 20% of your coins. In this case it would allow you to benefit even further as the price has gone up. And btw, there is no Bitcoin bubble. Forget about that.

For the first time I wish I followed what everyone was saying.
Just don't. You can look at what people are saying, that's not a problem, but at the end of the day, you should do your own research. In some cases things don't result in your favor, but that's something you must accept.

Your prediction is right about the price of bitcoin lol. Your soon is already came. Bitcoin price should hit 1800 before i sell my bitcoin so i can make a lot of profit from it. By the way do you think bitcoin would reach 2000 this year or it will have a big crash down so bitcoin would reach the under 1000 price.?
