If you want best possibility of making lots of money from trading: trade altcoins

If you want the best possibility of growing your money the most long term: invest in Bitcoin (and Ethereum if you want)

If you are already rich and want to trade with a bunch of money to make some income: trade bitcoin cuz its much safer than alts and volume is much higher

If you want to trade but are risk adverse: trade bitcoin cuz its much safer than alts

If you want passive income: invest in and stake Ethereum and buy dividend-focused stocks, potentially stake other L1 networks as long as you buy in during bear market and sell out during bull market

If you want lower volatility investing but very long term with slow growth: invest in stock market indexes

If you want to diversify: invest in Bitcoin, invest in and stake Ethereum, trade alts and bitcoin and ethereum, invest in high growth stocks as well as dividend-focused stocks as well as stock indexes

If you are an expert in traditional finance and corporate financial stuff: you could trade stocks



Personally, I invest long term in Bitcoin, invest long term in Ethereum and stake it, and trade alts. Eventually I'll start investing in the stock market as well for diversification but not until probably next decade once Bitcoin is around a million because until then Bitcoin's growth versus stock market growth is just too lopsided to even consider stocks.

In My Opinion holding Bitcoin have much high potential then every stack or investment ,because bitcoin have a clear future and at the price which its sitting is very good because it highly retraced and fighting to reach higher and higher ,

I says you have one year to invest in BTC before bullrun starts , So invest in bitcoin in parts and hold like diamond hands .

Not sure what you mean by short vs long period earning? Is it mean that for both assets or would you say that stocks or bitcoins are more for short/long term investing? In my opinion both stocks and bitcoins are excellent assets to be investing in long term. Sure there are chances to make a huge profit short term but the risks are quite high and there is no real guarantee that we will be profitable in the end. Any person who has invested 10 years ago in bitcoin or in stocks, made a lot of money by now. That is why I would recommend anybody to go for long term earning and don't trade so much short term. If you have enough capital at hand, why not invest in both? A well diversified portfolio should hold not only crypto currencies, but also other asset classes like stocks, bonds and some commodities. The broader we spread our investments the lower our overall risk profile.

The bias is to be expected seeing that not only this is a bitcoin forum but the bitcoin forum created by Satoshi himself, yet @Susano received good recommendations as anyone which has to ask such a basic question about what markets to trade is probably not ready to trade at all, after all experts can take decisions based on their instincts and be right more often than not while a newbie needs to stick to a trading plan, and a basic part of that plan are the markets you can trade.

Of course that answer would not come as a surprise, especially since bitcointalk is forum where traders and investors discuss.
So of course the majority of users would agree to trade or invest in crypto instead of stocks, and it may be true that this is the reason why they are here.

I am crypto trader and one of the holders, but I have never objected to the stock market being used especially for profit. But I tend to go to great lengths to become trader or investor in crypto instead of stocks. If you and other friends can take advantage of opportunities in the stock market, then you and your friends will never wrong to trade or invest.

It's people's choice to be here and learn what they're going to do. If they make a profit it will change their life. You better keep learning about what happened later. We live will continue to learn for the sake of time to time.

If the OP had asked a similar question on a forum where traders trading on the stock market communicate, the result would not have surprised anyone. After all, if we are on the Bitcoin forum, it means that we have made a choice for ourselves which trade suits us the most.

Between bitcoin and stock market I have good knowledge about bitcoin. But not so good knowledge about stock market. So I prefer bitcoin here.  In that case I always like to invest in Bitcoin. But I have never invested in stock market because I don't have much experience with stock market.

Both are advantageous if a person work correctly and manage their strategies in right way. Short periods earning is good and profitable but it will require more time and more energetics in contrast to the long term earning.

Bitcoin always remains the king of all cryptocurrency coins and if the person invest in Bitcoin then it is possible that the loss of money overcomes because long term strategies can reduce the risk involved in trading.

Although investment and trading both involves risks but if person apply accurate strategies then hopefully his fortune will be lucky.

I'm sure you have your preferences and luck. I am not very active on the stock market, nor am I very active on Bitcoin trading. but I prefer to invest in Bitcoin. Do it for long-term planning. and those who have been in the market long enough will already know the results.
before that, you have to know where your interests and expertise are. after that, you can start a small action for your first step.

I prefer investing since I believe that can easily be proven quite common currency in the future. Trading is for the traders that want to make money either way. I want to have a non centralize digital currency so by investing I am supporting it.

Both of them are profitable but each of us has our own investment preference.
Low-risk takers will simply take in investing stock market which will also give less hassle and profit assurance.
High-risk takers will simply take in investing in crypto or crypto trading because despite the volatility of the market they still believe that this will give them more profit satisfaction.

Of course, I choose the kind of business that I know I was capable of. I choose crypto because I already have an idea and deep knowledge of the market. I think this is also similar to those who choose the stock market.

 

After the bad events that have occurred throughout 2022, we must be realistic, we hear more and more about the temptation to get big profits from cryptocurrencies, indeed bitcoin promises large profits of up to hundreds of percent within a year or maybe less, but for security we must divide money into types other investments and stock markets are also worthy of our choosing.

Whatever we may believe, the truth is that you know better. Proceed with that you can have a better experience. Since I am not very familiar with the stock market, I would prefer to trade or hold bitcoin. From experience, holding bitcoin for the middle term is preferable. Gain some funds, then buy back again. Therefore, you must decide for yourself what is best and easiest for you.

Basically you can diversify by doing both "crypto and stock". I think many traders who previously had a lot of experience in the stock market probably wouldn't ignore it instead of just trading in crypto. Both can give them an advantage, and both are also at risk.

I also tend to think that the crypto market is much more interesting than the stock market. I can consider the risk because for me the risk is worth the return. And this is also the reason why I am here for long term.

If you do want less volatile then go for Stocks
If you do want that huge volatility then go for Crypto.

This is their main differences and this is also the sole reason on why profitability chances is different on each side and of course the risk would be also as high as well if you do tend to touch
up crypto space.Some arent really just that too confident when it comes to this manner and this is why they've decided to stick into non volatile things which it isnt really
that bad at all.There are really just people who are really that adventurous or do really likes to face up something which is really that risky but something rewarding
at the same time.

   Yes. But once again cryptocurrency trading is more easy and profitable than stock in stock trading it requires an expert to understand while cryptocurrency trading with just an understanding of the candle sticks u can trade

If stock trading was best for me then am sure I wouldn't be here on the forum learning, discussing and sharing experience about bitcoin. In as much as I have no knowledge on how the stock market and trade works then definitely it's ain't the best for me. Maybe not now.

There is no single word answer to the question that whether crypto is best or stock is best. Stock is well matured market and is regulated while crypto is very new,  unregulated and highly volatile. This volatility has its own pros also like if you have bought crypto at right time then you get benefited by sudden bull run of bitcoin or vice versa.
I do agree with you that its very much important to invest in market which you are well aware of rather then just moving with trend. If you are investing in crypto just because you hear its going up then you are making a mistake. 

That's true, if we would be investing into bitcoin, then that would be better than investing in stocks, but this is trading discussions section so I am going to talk about trading bitcoin or trading stocks. If you are someone who buys and sell stocks quickly, like a short term trader in the stock world, the amount of expenses that requires will be huge.

Buying and selling stocks causes a lot more money than what it does with bitcoin, whereas trading bitcoin could be great because even 0.25% profit could end up being profitable due to trading fee, depends on where you trade of course. That is why it's important to realize what you want to do, and what you want to achieve.
