My transactions are taking a while, but that is ok with me since that involves only a small amount. If the day comes that I am already transacting huge amounts, I am expecting that the transaction speeds become faster so that I can have more peace of mind. The waiting time can sometimes be daunting.

I don't know why people keep watching until the transaction got confirmed, just chill, go work, go play and have fun...

Early or later the transaction will be confirmed, you don't need to refresh every minute.

Depending on the network speed and the transaction fee one get faster transaction. As quoted by above mate once on transfer you can see the bitcoin in the incoming status, then why to wait long or short time to see the confirmations. Most get panic and sometimes report this delay as an issue.

I think it fast enough becouse  I can Send money world wide in few minute, but some people said that it is not so fast.

The transaction speed is fast but the problem is the confirmation, it takes more than 10 min sometimes more than an hour, even if you pay the  transaction fee of 10k satoshi.  I often doubles the fee to make the confirmation of the transaction faster which proven to be effective in most cases.

but it sure is faster than any bank procedures... and cost less, isn't it?

maybe if use system like bitpay, people no need to wait to transaction get confirmed, and it can be used for online shopping that use bitcoin. after we send and bitpay detect it , the transaction would never go back right?
It's irreversible here, so it's a yes. Therefore we should be very careful with our transacting party as the moment we send that amount and we wrongfully send to a wrong bitcoin address we will never recover it as we are also anonymous here and it's hard to trace who that person you send the money.
i think about wrong address, it depends from themself because, if me want to send some bitcoin even on a little amount, i always re-check the receiver address 3 times before send it

Getting really slower as time goes by. I hope this can be changed. Paid some amount to make it faster. That is the only way for now.

That should not be a solution for this problem, something else should be done for resolving this as it would be really hard later on for us this way if we keep increasing the fees for bigger transactions, if we are sending 0.5btc we would add higher fees than what we pay for a transaction of 0.25btc.

I think paying excessive fees for faster transaction is not a cool idea because we are not actually finding a solution for it but we are just postponing this issue of late confirmation.
I am not sure if anything like this is possible or not but how about making some internal mechanism (for example on blockchain) for faster transactions? One having blockchain wallet would be able to send quick payment to another blockchain wallet holder but to others it will take usual time (the time we are facing right now).

Unfortunatelly I think that high fees are where we are heading at the moment.
More transactions are made and those with high fees are preferred, that's natural.
My hopes are still that a change of block size would be a solution for this problem.

for me bitcoin is slow, some of my transaction can take up few hours, i learned that the bitcoin transactions will be fast once there is a decentralized lightning network, is it right?

yes i think bitcoin transaction fairly slow, if it is caused by the donor to the recipient bitcoin on the internet. take a few hours or a few days to be successful. slow enough I think.

in the bitcoin transaction speed depends on the amount of the fee we adjust. the higher the number the shipping fee, the faster bitcoin block solved. so as to make the delivery time faster.

is it possible that bitcoin will be accepted in local stores, shops etc. since transactions are to slow and customers have to wait until their transactions are verified. And nobody wants to wait.
Can transactions be seeded up to save customers time or any other way to use bitcoin  at local stores.
That really depends, because if we really want btc in every local store, then we need the network to work faster.
Slower confirmations won't allow us that. For now it's too slow

If you send a bitcoin to someone, It will show up in the wallet in seconds but the confirmation time can take 30-40 minutes or even an hour.

It will be hard for local stores to accept bitcoin as you can cancel an unconfirmed transaction.

The only way to speed up the confirmation time is to pay a higher miner fee because the miners typically pick a transaction with a high fee.
